I would like it if you would all explain for me what you believe happens after you have died, in detail. I don't mean decomposing either, so don't even think of saying that.
Is there an afterlife for you? If so, what is it like? How long do you stay there? Are you physically there or is it just your soul? What do we look like there? etc... I'm curious and I want to know as much about your belief on this matter as you can share. -------------------- I'm a deathrockin', RPG gamin', slash lovin', Seshat worshippin', scruffy goth from England. ;D

well i believe that once the brain is dead then thats that... theres no after life and things just end... kinda sad i know but meh

I myself believe in reincarnation. Once the body dies, the soul is released and enters another being, maybe not that of a human, or even an animal. But it re-enters something and continues to live. Those who believe in reincarnation say you can find out about your past life by simply figuring out what period in time you're most drawn to.

Why, I'm disappointed. For a wiccan forum there isn't much of a life after death thing going on. I was hoping for a drawn-out description of the Summerlands.

well i was an athiest for my whole life and just recently discoverd paganism, but i think in time i might end up believing in reincarnation of some sort but not in an afterlife....

I believe in reincarnation because what people say about it are things that seem to be true, maybe my ideas will change, maybe they won't whose to say? But I for now its reincarnation for me.

I believe in reincarnation. I believe many of us were here before. I believe many of our attitudes and feelings have been formed in a previous existence; why we like or don't like without rational explanation. What has always been important to the human species is reproduction there of, relationships with others to preserve the safety of an individual and all sorts of other base line mammalian behaviour. Maybe right now it's very important to you to wear Calvin instead of Tommy or drive a Yamaha instead of a Harley, but in that which surmounts the physical that which is wholy spirit and not all that captured by plasma T.V.s, there is a memory of the past life. This manifests in 'baseless' fears, instant affinities, bits of knowledge you could not have obtained through normal means. There might be a pull towards certain periods of time which make no sense...i.e. why should you be interested in Tamerlane as your family is traced to Scotland? Or why are you so sure there's a tomb in that part of the desert? It may manifest to you in flash backs...such as watching some historical drama on television and suddenly being at the time, and seeing/hearing which isn't on the television, or as a child sitting in the classroom, asking the teacher a 'stupid' question, because you know what she is saying is not how it happened. |

According to your religion, God forgives all sins, and God does everything for a reason. Yes there's free will, but explain, why would there be other religions if it meant that we'd all be condemmed to hell? Worship or die eh? Nice God you preach... no offense, but your going to come HERE and tell us we're going to hell?? That "(you all)" was by NO means necessary.
