THE RULES
JOINING -- Sign up with your character's First Middle and Last name. This can be changed later if you need, all you have to do is PM an admin but once your application is approved you have to stick with the name. Once you join, you have exactly one week to start an application or your account will be deleted. Once you start an application, you have a week to finish it. PM an admin if something happens and you just are not able to do so.
CHARACTERS -- For every original character that you make, I ask that you please take a canon as they are super super important to the plot.
FACE CLAIM -- Be sure to reserve a face as soon as you have one in mind and then claim it once your application is finished. If you don't, and someone else wants to use that PB, they have every right to do so.
THE RATING – We are rated (high) M. There will be sexual content, there will be drinking, there will be innuendos. You have to be over 13 to join (IF’s TOS, not ours) and if you aren’t comfortable around potentially racy content, this isn’t the place for you. If you plan on having a thread that includes sexual content, extreme violence, or anything that could be overly offenseive, please label your thread title with an “M”.
SPAMMING – Just don't do it. Not in the cbox, not in the forums.
HARASSMENT – Harassment isn't nice and it isn't right. Roleplayers come here to have fun and that's what they're going to have. If you're going to harass each other or the staff, then we have no problem banning you.
POST LENGTH – The site is rated Intermediate/Advanced so please make sure that you're keeping that standard up. Make sure you’re posting enough for the other person to respond to. There isn't a specific word count, but you should have at least three paragraphs in each post (5-7 sentences per paragraph). If you write a novel post, don’t expect that the person who is replying will do the same. We’re a literate site, but part of being literate is being concise.
BE ACTIVE – I understand what it's like to be super buys and that's okay. Just be sure not to leave us all of a sudden. Be sure to let us know when you'll be taking an extended absence. If you can't post at least once every two weeks per character, then you are automatically moved to inactive, though we prefer once a week per character.
GRAPHICS – Signature graphics may be no larger than 500x200 pixels. Avatars may be no larger than 100x100 pixels. Please try not to blind us with your graphics, and your Avatars may not be flash movie type things. One graphic, please.
CHARACTER LIMIT – Character limit is set at three. If you want more than three, you may ask an admin. However, we've seen how it gets when people take on too many characters to properly play, and we'd like to avoid that happening. Talk to us, we're not unreasonable.
OUT OF CHARACTER – Be nice to each other. But then, you know that.
THE FINE PRINT – There are some things you need to get admin approval from. This would include creating homosexual characters (we’re not homophobes, I promise, but because it’s a historical site and homosexuality was not only frowned up, but often the cause of persecution or murder in 1920, for the sake of the site it needs to be kept to a minimum) and character pregnancies (this one is because too much drama gets stirred up by random pregnancies. Also, if your character is visibly pregnant, they're going to be obviously hindered and there are things they won't be able to do. Keep that in mind in play.).
