There's GOLD in them hills! The Black Hills Gold Rush is under way, nearly ten percent of the worlds gold will be dug up in the hills surrounding Deadwood.
Hundreds of people flock to the fast growing town seeking their fortune, land is worth hundreds for those wanting to set up shops and homes and such, but Deadwood is a lawless town. And a lawless town makes it's own rules, there are men out to swindle and cheat you out of your money and gold, they want it spent in their casinos and on their girls and in many cases they are willing to do ANYTHING to get it. Murder is a daily routine for the people of Deadwood, but when a family are slaughtered out on the road, apparently by Indians, the Sioux tribe who once hunted the Black Hills, and only one solitary little girl is left alive...certain powerful men in the town start getting antsy. What have they got to hide? Will the little girl wake up and reveal her secret? Just how long can Deadwood remain a lawless free for all? Can you find your fortune here? On the tables or in the fields? Or will you end up with a dead mans hand...
This RP is an alternate version of History allowing you to create originals or delve into the Old West and find fascinating characters like Wild Bill Hicock, Calamity Jane, Billy the Kid, Jesse James and countless other infamous legends of the times.
So come and seek your fortune in Deadwood, but mind out Deadwood doesn't get you first...

OOC Chatter An alternative to the c-box where you can talk out of character and relax, allowing for my space than the c-box and often a little less frustrating than when you make a typo there too, lol.
Gem Saloon Run by Al Swearengen. A cheaper Saloon and notorious brothel, not quite as nice as the Bella Union or as clean, often the base of Al's little workings and where his men hide out when things get a little rough.
Bella Union Saloon Run by Cyrus Tolliver, with Joanie Stubbs as the resident Madam. This is a slightly higher class of Saloon than the Gem and is it's rival. Official roulette wheels and craps tables are also a new addition here.

Grand Central Hotel Owned and run by E.B Farnum. It's a relatively clean place...with only a few suspicious looking bloodstains on the floor. Currently the residence of wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Charlie Utter, the widow Alma Garret and Sofia Metz.
Cheyenne & Black Hills Telegraph Office Need to send a message to someone? Best use the telegraph, it's the fastest way to go and the safest too seeing as the Pony Express is often robbed...
Chinese Alley Not exactly trustworthy, this tends to be where you can find knock-offs, and there's always Mr Wu's chinese take-aways if you fancy something exotic and probably disease ridden. And don't forget; if you have any bodies you ened rid of pay Mr Wu and he'll let you feed his pigs...
The Streets. Filthy, muddy, occasionally dry and clean. Currently lined with the small tents of businesses hoping to prosper enough to purchase mroe land and eventually build up real shops here in Deadwood. There's waggons and cargo all over the place most of the time and at night the styreets are lit with torches...it's not safe to deviate from well lit places in Deadwood yet.
The Road Out. Leaving Deadwood? Just arriving? This is the road you will have found Deadwood on, beware of theieves and robbers, and remember the Black Hills are Sioux territory too...

The Black Hills These are the hills surrounding Deadwood, covered in trails anda few dirt roads that are well travelled, a likely place for Outlaws laying low or worse. The Indians Sioux out looking for revenge on the land stolen from them.
The rest of the world. There's a whole world outside Deadwood, feel free to visit other Towns local, or to RP anywhere else you'd like that isn't in the other categories.
