Hi mate, Unfortunately this is pretty much a dead forum.

we have all dispersed now, though i check on now and then to see if anything has happened.

regards a list, I wrote this one a while back to face a VC army - it was intended to be a beginner army:

1 Captain w/ great weapon, full plate, shield 60

1 Wizard (level 1) w/ 2x scrolls 115

24 Swordsmen w/ full command 169
10 Archers (detachment) 80
10 Free Company (detachment) 50

24 Spearmen w/ shields, full command 164
10 Archers (detachment) 80
10 Free Company (detachment) 50

6 Knights w/ musician 146

Mortar 75

Total 993

personally if i used this now, i'd probably swap the wizard to a warrior priest with great weapon, drop the free company to 9 each, the archers to 7 each and perhaps see if i can afford a cannon over the morter and/or get a unit of handgunners (the captain probably could do without the shield too!

hope that gives you a start

Yep, this site is very, very dead. Was it fun? Of course. Did we get more than like one Warhammer related topic a week? No. I reccomend going to this website.

not bad bud - i've been playing Beasts a lot lately (eventually) and am really enjoying them, plus my Dwarfs are doing well still.

have put the counts aside for now though in order to get the experience with these too - once i feel happy with them its back to Counts for one army, then possibly Ogre Kingdoms as the alternate (its nice to have an option)

plus on the 40k front im playing as Dark Angels as im using them in this years GT

how have you been fella?

Been in a little bit of a warhammer slump, but a new GW opened nearby me recently, so I've been going there weekly, which is loads of fun. My main army is still Lizardmen, and I'm biding my time with them untila release of the Beasts of Chaos, or starting on a new front with a Cathay army.

You talking here without telling? Poor sports I say biggrin.gif

I've been quite absorbed with my school/Sports/Scout activities/partying, so I've been pretty much away from all forums, and have played maybe 1 game since this site died.

But, my mate wants to drag me to a pair-tournament in the near future. Let's see if the WH-bug will bite me again and get me back to doing something with my models smile.gif

sorry bud.

Doubles are great fun! i loved WFB doubles so much last year that i'm entering the 40k doubles in Jan.

we had a great time and it was nice and laid back.

ok i came last, but we had a laugh doing so - plus we made a giant congaline of dead dwarfs and skaven which stretched all four corners of the table!
