WHD is in need of a lttle interior decorating. We need banners for the site as well as matching button sets. If anyone has the know-how and the interest, please let us know what you would like to see here.

Hmmm, I could try using paint, but I do not have photoshop. Should have a very basic banner/buttons, but do not expect anything too good, as my skills in drawing arent very good, never mind on paint :P But I will try.

I could do something simple.

I could make a banner in the same style as the one in my sig aswel.

I think that would be a great idea! I tried my hand at paint, but failed, horribly...

just a small query though and not wanting to bring a downer to the new banner but I know GW are fairly strict about their intellectual property being used outside of their own company so there may be some issues with the use of BoC and Empire army pics that have been used. You may need to have in small yet legible type that the images used are property of and © to GW or ask them their permission first. Better safe than sorry. Maybe it would be better to work on designing a new logo or typeface and used that rather than GW images. Also he use of a new logo could also be implemented into the buttons required also. Anyone have ideas for the buttons?

You bring up valid points aa7. I do not know how GW would react seeing their pictures being used elsewhere.

As for buttons, I was thinking we can have like warhammers (the weapon) with text on them or something...

To be honest, no other forum asks permission to use their images anyway. Just find a disclaimer for the bottom of the site, it just needs to say about the whole hobby being GW copyrighted, and all that guff.

i'm all about the second ones, the maps just look great!

I like them both... but I'm leaning toward the second set.

If thse are done, then the grey background, the rest of the forum skin, is gonna be way off. Are we really looking to redo the entire skin? If so, fine with me, but I just thought to let everyone know where this was headed.

It might be wiser to find a skin that matches whichever detail set we choose before making any changes.

I'm just thinking that if we chose the second set, we are really infringing on GW's copyright as it is piece of their actuall map, I can set 1 up for 1-2 days, then the other set for 1-2 days and se witch one we like better ;)

just to let everyone know, I will add Kroms first set of banners tonight, when I get home as I cannot seem to access photobucket from school...

I just finished adding kroms banner set #1 :D

The only query I have is the reapeating banner when looking in a forum, its like this:

-forum
-banner
-sort of quarter of the top of the other banner
-forum

I am trying to find a way to fix that, but nothing I do seems to work... Any suggestions?

by the way, our old banner is still the one used for Warvault - i think perhaps we should get that changed

Warvault has restrictions on banner size, the new banner Krom made is too big to fit there, unfortunately...
