Sophie Faulkner (aka SHIFT) is, for one thing, a very confused mutant. She's grown up her whole life hiding her powers and living as if she was completely normal. In the midst of New York city, she is literally surrounded by the largest mutant population in the United States, if not the world. Sophie is confused whether she wants to go talk to the people at the Institute or keep living her life undercover.

For now, I'm planning on getting Sophie into the Institute and chatting it up with them, but she'll continue working at the bookstore. She likes music, books, and gymnastics, but she's leery of anyone who doesn't look human.

Well, I probably should post under Ivy, but I don't feellike switching users so don't be confused. This fellow is not the one I want to roleplay with your character.. Anyways though, I think her and Ivy could be friends somehow. They're both in New York, Ivy isn't at the institute though, both mutants and around the same age. Probably could talk about music and have some sort of bond over that.

Theo, there's an opening in Sophie's life for a gay best friend. Also, it would be fun if Alex/Sophie thought that each (of the other) was normal, especially if she decides to show up at the Institute later.

Prospero, Yes! I have a driver's license test today (I'm a late bloomer, guys.), so my posting of our awesome thread will be later tonight. I stalked the librarian, and I was glad to find out he was attractive and in the right age group, but sad to learn that he is "asexual". I guess a girl can hope, right?

For Ivy - Yes, I'd be happy to have a thread with Ivy. I'd also be pretty happy to have a thread with Lucas, since I was a moron and decided to have similar powers as he does.

We should have a thread where Ivy and Sophie go to a concert and get drunk. Even if Ivy isn't twenty-one, she could still probably get alcohol.

And I think a thread with Lucas and her testing out their powers and both trying to figure them out would be good. Cause Lucas sucks at controlling his powers.

So, here's the plan.

Sophie's bookshop is going to burn eventually, much to the sadness of The Void and probably The Librarian. The cause of the fire is going to be a gang induction, one new gang member and two tag alongs to make sure the bastard gets it right. Before hand, they'll probably do some bad things to poor Sophie. After they leave, Sophie is left in a burning bulding obviously. Havok is going to rescure her.

Part two is more entertaining and less sad. Void is somehow going to find out about the fire that burned down The Last Page (but not about anything else, cause the newspaper wouldn't run anything more) and confront. Renegade "accidently" (the bitch) reads her mind and gets the whole picture, including faces, and transfers the knowledge to Void. Under the circumstances, Void loses it and lovely Fission helps him out.
