In short, this is a world where anything is possible, timelines have been rewritten and the entire mutant question is a new and terrifying one. Starting from the beginning, our world is only just realising the extent of the talents that can be born out of the human genome and how it deals with the rise of mutants and superhumans...well, that's up to you.

Cross' Apartment
Since Greenburgh is close enough to the Institute to deal with any emergency calls and less than an hour away from the clinic, Cross sees this apartment as a happy medium (with a lot more personal space). The apartment itself is pretty standard - one bedroom, one bathroom, living room, kitchen, mini-patio thing that Bear'll enjoy. Cross leans towards simplicity over anything else, making the off-white walls suitable to the browns and greys and dull blues Cross added. The walls are blank, but there are various pictures here and there in frames about the apartment. Everything is dog-proof or at least semi-dog-proof, except for the dog bed under a side table and the two bowls that more often than not end up tipped over on the floor. You can't win them all.

David Carson's Bungalow
No more than a ten minute drive from the Institute, David owns a rather charming bungalow. Granted, he hasn't actually lived in it for several months prior to September 2012, but still. It has two bedrooms, though David makes it a point to ever only really need the one. It also features an updated kitchen, something David is very proud of and regularly uses it. The general feel of the place is very modern, lots of straight lines, rich colours, standard stuff as far as he is concerned.

Karl's Apartment
Karl lives in a cheap apartment, on his own. It's on a high-ish floor, and he keeps it nicely: It's not falling apart, it's certainly not flawless, it's just alright. Karl keeps the wooden floor clean, and has personally given every wall at least one mirror. He has one couch, a desk and computer, and phone in his living room. He just keeps his bed, gun closet, and wardrobe in his bedroom. The bathroom is clean, and the kitchen is okay, except that one of the burners doesn't work and the microwave likes to beep in the middle of the night.
