JAY AND TY:
Hi, let me throw my New Mutant character at Ty. Meet Jay, codename Icarus. He might be older than Ty, but Ty's been here waaaay longer than he has. In a bizarre sort of coincidence, Jay is currently where Ty was when he first joined - namely very depressed, very withdrawn. Depending on how outgoing Ty is, maybe he could be reminded of his own depressed start at the Institute and take Jay under his wing (pun totally intended xD)

I also play Storm and Psylocke, who're both X-men/teachers at the Institute, and my Brotherhood OC Genome, but Jay's the only one who really sparked any inspiration for me. xD Of course, if you have ideas, feel free to share - I'm something of a thread whore on this site. ^^'

Oooooh! I love this plot! Ty would totally see a lot of himself when he
first came in Jay, and would be somewhat drawn to him because of that.
Since he knows how it feels, and also knows how great it feels once you
break free of that shell when you're safely at Xaviers, he'd try to help.
He might even cross the border to annoying, and sometimes he might
be a bit over the top with his word-choice, but he'd totally try to help <3

As for the teachers.... -points at Ty- he's the guy who talks too much in
class and makes teachers annoyed. Then he uses his charm to try and
get out of trouble afterwards XD Yeah.

Hey! I thought maybe Tabs and Ty could play. Since Tabs uses her time bombs to prank, might I suggest that he was/will be the target of one of them? He can hold his grudge and they can be rivals of sorts (or so was my thinking, anyway). Feel free to add, tweak, throw more ideas out!

Lots of people annoy Jay, just by being cheerful and helpful. xD But it's good for my miserable little git, so I approve!

As for the teachers (who will already know Ty, I figure, given how long he's been at the Institute) 'Ro's pretty zen about her students and not easily annoyed, but Betsy teaches hand to hand combat and will be all 'yo, pipe down you little brat otherwise you'll end up with a shuriken in the face.' Actually, if Ty's been at the Institute for a while, he'd have been there when the X-men came home from the mission in which Betsy actually died. In typical Marvel fashion, she came back to life about a fortnight ago...that might be something worth playing around with. My favourite current Betsy threads are 'omg, you're alive again!' ones xD

I would cheerfully start either a Jay/Ty or a Betsy/Ty thread - do you have a preference/any ideas for how you want them to run into each other?

Hey, they're both TJ! lolol, they.... should form the TJ league and
spend time annoying other students... maybe they used to piss
eachother off, but their love of joking around with others made
them pretty close? Even friends? Because Ty needs that more
than another rival XD

play mr angle-guy card, and you still lock yourself up? do the female
population at school a favour and come out once in a while, no? no one

lolol, Ro's prolly a good teacher for Ty to have. Makes him calm down.
As for Betsy....they'd prolly get annoyed at eachother a lot. And Ty will
constantly complain that he's a dancer, not a fighter. "I'm not a damn
superhero, got that! I'm more aiming for the super popular". He would have been sad when hearing she's dead tho. Like... type crying like a
kid. Which he would do when finding out she's alive again too. Then
get super embarrassed about it and fake getting mad and be all "well,
fuck this! I thought I was rid of your nagging!"

and oooh! I'm up for anything, really! Jay and Ty could type... meet up at the dorms, or Ty could find Jay sitting being all emo at his regular
dance-practice spot and get all irky about it? as for ty and betsy.... they
too could have random meet-up, or he could come early to class and
she's already there and he's all "HOMG WTF?"

WELL. We can do both, if you feel like it! I could start the Jay/Ty one and you could start the Betsy/Ty one (just pp her as already in one of the gyms, waiting) and then we'd be gravy!
