Alexander summers half walked, half danced across the room as he unpacked the rest of clothes. He still couldn't believe he was now a teacher, how often he had roamed this halls in secret, as a student. Getting into mischief, one way or another. Now he was living on the fabled third floor, as a faculty member, an authority figure. It was a surreal feeling to say the least, he never once thought that he dream to become a teacher here would actually become reality.

As music blasted over his sound system, he simply threw his clothes into the closet without a care in the world. He really didn't have anything formal, just jeans and T-shirts, though he figured he should probably get a jacket for class.

To make himself look atleast a little teacher like. It was a private academy after all.

Truth be told his surround sound music system had been the first thing he had set up yesterday. His speakers scattered around the room set, on the walls, in the corners on the roof.

He could literately feel the floor vibrating as the song went through it's motions. The afternoon outside was growing late now and it would officially be his first night on the third floor. He had been a tad reluctant to let go of his old dorm, it was...had been...his fortress of solitude, a place that had welcomed him when there was nowhere else.

But he figured it was time to move upstairs, he was growing older and with age came responsibilities. Pulling off his shirt and throwing it into the washing basket, he flopped down on his couch and let out a long and rather...exaggerated sigh. When did he become the adult, it seemed like yesterday since he first stepped foot in the mansion, it had been such an alien yet...welcoming place. It was the first place that had welcomed him with open arms.

And he was officially an x-man, now that was a daunting feeling. The x-men were the best of the best, the pinnacle of mutant kind if you will. Alex remembered the first time he saw them all suited up, he had felt like a kid in a toy store on Christmas eve, and then there was the jet. God that jet, he had fallen in love with the black beauty the moment he had seen it...it was is dream to fly it one day, though he doubted anyone would let him.

He had come such a long way since his days living on the street alone, he had a purpose now, a home, a family. Literally, he had family, a brother. Their relationship so far had really not gotten off the ground, a lot had been happening of late that it left little time for them to actually talk. But Alex planned to catch him sooner or later, there was a lot that need to be said, a lot that needed to be asked, and answered. Alex fumbled for his sounds system remote and turned it up even more, getting lost in the rhythm of it all, drowning out the world. To the point the loud rock music filled the entire second floor and could be heard from a floor below and above.

But he was to lost in his own little world to realise.

Generally, Amara was fine staying awake from the time she woke up in the morning to when she went to bed at night, since she got a decent amount of sleep and didn't overexert herself too terribly in her day to day activities. On days when she did, though--for example, doing a long run, or training in the dojo or the Danger Room--she tended to fall asleep for about half an hour in the mid-to-late afternoon. That half hour was enough to energize her for the rest of the day, tending to run out just as she would have gone to sleep normally anyway. So long as she was allowed to sleep through that half hour, which really had dialed itself into her biological clock, she was pleasant and quite her usual self (which, ok, depending on who you were her usual self wasn't so pleasant, but she maintained that such instances were never her own fault). If, however, she was woken prematurely from such a nap? Well, 'dragon lady' hardly began to cover it. In fact, in general when she was woken up rather than waking herself up, by something other than her alarm, she could get down right monstrous.

So when the first strains of overloud rock music approached her ears as she napped, Amara first rolled over, trying to drown out the noise and slip right back into sleep as if she hadn't been stirred at all. But the music only got louder, until it was pounding right through her ceiling it felt like, and there was no way she could sleep with that racket.

When she woke up, she was angry.

Thankfully when she was just taking a short nap she didn't bother to undress, as she didn't spare a second thought for anything but finding out where that noise was coming from and shutting it up. Muttering under her breath in Latin all the way, she stalked to her door, threw it open and slammed it behind her, before listening long enough to ascertain that the terrible noise was coming from the floor above and marching to the stairs, her hands clenched into fists.

As she mounted the stairs the noise became even louder, and she followed the sound down the left hallway, wincing as she approached what was obviously the horrendous music's origin. She walked a little ways further down the hall to make sure she had the right room, and then she walked back to it. Screwing up her face against the loudness (and fighting the urge to clamp her hands to her ears) she first pounded on the door and then, on finding it unlocked, threw it open.

Apparently, Mr. Summers (the younger one, even 'Mara had the good sense to remain civil about the Mr. Summers) didn't seem to notice that his music was loud enough to be disruptive, nor care, as he was just then laying down on his couch, and he hadn't even seemed to hear when she'd pounded on the door (probably because it had coincided with the beats of his awful music).

"Excuse me!" she shouted as loud as she could (which was quite loud for such a petite person) to be heard over the music. "What Earthly reason could you possibly have for playing your horrid music at such a volume?! People might have been sleeping!"

Alex's head slowly moved to the rhythm of the beats, they were chaotic and heavy, just the way he liked it. Music was almost a release for him, it drowned out the world, cleared his mind. Some found it strange, but he found solace in booming music, it made him feel safe and alive at the same time. He really didn't know what he would do without music, though he was terrible at making it.

After a short time, he felt his mind starting to slip into slumber. He had nothing on for the rest of the afternoon so he was looking forward to just mellowing out and loosing himself in his own reality. A reality on a beach, with some beers and women. A small smile slid across his face as he placed his hands behind his head. The real world was totally lost to him, as was the intensity of the music. He was not one to draw attention to himself, but he was completely oblivious to the fact the music was started to spread out across the mansion.

Maybe he'd play some xbox later, hit up the rumpus room and play some pool. There was always a student or staff member up for a game of pool, even on a school night. It was not often Alex actually fell asleep so easy, so he would take every wink he could get.

But that idea was short lived.

Alex's eyes shot open when he heard a shout, it was muffled by the music at first, and his brief delirium from his light slumber, but there was definitely someone in his room. Pushing himself up with his elbows he looked over the top of his couch and saw one of the students standing in his room.

And she looked mad.

"What," Alex shouted, almost combat rolling off his his couch with very little finesse as he fumbled around for his remote. He was sure he had fallen asleep with it. After a few long moments, probably some of his most unflattering, he gave up and threw his couch cushion at the stereo which, somehow...shut it off.

He stood there, hands on hips, oblivious to being half naked with a student in his room.

"Miss Aquilla," Alex said giving her a big grin. He had seen her file while reading up on the students after getting hired as a teacher, but they had never really rotated in the same social circle "what's u...I mean," he cleared his throat, "can I help you with something," he said remembering he was now a teacher, so he tried to sound a little more formal.
