Monster Concept Art, Concept art for any and all monsters

So my first idea was a "Wandering Soul" or "Spirit". It's either just a weird random encounter (I say weird because of the glasses), or it's an enemy that appears after specific events happen.
Nonetheless, here it is.

Second, the obligatory Mimic. You know, the chest enemy that looks like it's a treasure chest, but it's really a demonic treasure chest that's actually a monster? Yeah, that thing.

Felt I should throw a few concepts. This is the Grisly Grasper. It's a sort of floating, skeletal undead that could act as the game's skeleton/ghost analog. It lashes out with it's razor-like appendages and deals a variety of nasty status effects. Also it has no eyes for some reason... Yeah.


Fire Elebromental, my effort varies based on the idea really. Not much to go on a fire elemental.


And here we have the Goddamn Blob. Nuff said.

Atlus, I like your concepts, but (maybe) instead of having the jelly monster be a "Blob", why not name it as a "Surviving Slime" or something, and then create a bunch of other "Slime" enemies related to it?

Sure why not. The idea I had is there would be a whole species of these guys with various weapons jammed in them. Someone on the chan thread made a hilarious one with a giant axe in it.

The hero and his party anxiously approach the skull-emblazoned gate, decorated so lavishly and painted in a morbid crimson. The cheerful bard felt his stomach knot with anticipation and fear upon seeing the sentinel posted between two forboding braziers. She held proud a warspear, fresh blood dripping from the tip. Raising his weapon in hostility, the mischievous orc warrior tenses his gaze. "We should KILL her!" he says in a bloodthirsty rage, putting particular emphasis on the 'kill'. "N-No..I say we should j-just go around, man! This girl looks crazy! Like 'I'll kill you, impale you on my spear and use your digestive track as an erotic auto asphyxiation device' crazy!" The bard sheepishly whispered, nearly being interrupted by the cold hand of a machine. "No." Spoke forth the mech in a computerized monotone, pushing the two of them aside as if they were playthings.

"We will purge the beast. Anatomical scan indicates an inconsistency in genitalia. It is a demon." The Ancient Steam Knight explained, his one hand slowly balling into a fist. The bard stood up from being cast aside to the dusty floor, double-taking after hearing the steam knight's explanation.

"So..It's a chick with a dick?"

"Yes. It has a penis."

Just some idea for a joke (or not) monster.
It could be your typical minor foes you encounter at the beggining of the game, the ones you slay each with one hit.
Yes it's just like the "how about i slap your shit?" meme, i guess some artist with actual talent could give it some original traits so it wouldn't look like the blatant rip off it is.

LOL! shit slapper gnome is a must have. i mean if this is a /v/ made thing we need to capture its humor. in a few ways. well if you don't directly call it shit slapper gnome and just get its pose right people will recognize it. you know, like inside jokes only a /v/ dweller would understand

So, a while ago in the artfag chat, we talked about drawing dark soldiers, or knights, or whatever it was to accompany the big bad villain in the demo. I decided I'd take a sucky attempt at it.



The vine-things for the arms really are supposed to be bones (Yeah yeah, I don't draw exceptionally well), the breastplate sucks, and so do the legs and boots. But yeah. Attempt given.
