Captain's Log
After being returned home, in one shape I'm glad to report; the Diamond is under major repairs and updates and I'm glad to report our return to the 24th century. While our trip into the future was hardly uneventful it certainily gave the crew and myself a view of what temporal travel can do.
Upon our return to the 24th century, arriving just of orbit of Earth; the Diamond was to into spacedock for repairs and upgrades to her systems; giving the crew a chance for a long deserved reunion will familes on Earth. After my de-brief with Starfleet Command I am grateful to report that I will be joining them on Earth until new orders arrive; while it pains me to leave the Diamond in the hands of engineers I have wanted to return home for a while. I'm also glad to report that the new Executive Officer is settling in nicely; I have told him to spend some time on the surface until the Diamond is given orders

Location: Shuttle Raven on route to Earth
Time: 12:23 Hrs

Alex Ream remained seated, as he felt the shuttle descend into the Earth's atompshere. It was quiet, and was about as much quiet Alex had been given in months and he took the oppotunity to enjoy a Sherlock Holmes Novel.
=/\=This is Shuttle Raven to Landing Base 78; requesting permission to land with urgent cargo=/\= The pilot muttered over the comm to the surface
=/\=This is Landing Base 78, please reduce speed and land on pad 6. Welcome to Earth=/\=
Alex saw the cockpit become full with colours and scrambled to his feet for a look. He glared seeing the amazing colours as they crossed the Atlantic sea and approached an island. The island beamed with green colours, with builidng scattered everywhere and other shuttles zooming around; Alex was in a trance with all the colours that when being addresed by the pilot he completly didn't hear him
"Captain, sir?" Alex looked at him "We are will be arriving within the minute at Portsmouth, sir." Alex smiled
"Very well take us down" Alex turned back and grabbed his bag and book awaiting for the bump and the door open. He stepped slowly out the door and took a large breath; he could here the people moving around and could smell the fresh sea air. It was a lovely day.

On:

<USS Diamond>
Jon stood rigidly infront of the mirror in his cabin, as he made his uniform as clean as possible. Gods above and below knew he didn't want to look scruffy even on parking duty. As he brushed a hand through his salt and pepper hair, he scowled. ~Ye gods, I need a haircut.~

<A Few Minutes Later, Bridge>

Jon stepped out onto the bridge, and looked around absently, taking in the faces of the people he'd have to work with. They treated him as a common visitor, rather than the executive officer, which didn't bother him in the slightest if it kept them on task. It did, however, make him wonder how they'd react when he gave an order. Turning to look absently at the bridge again, he tapped his jaw, in thought.

"Careful, there! No, thats the console that blew out! Please pay attention to where you point that thing!" Lo'Tel shouted to random peopls. Lo'Tel was not ready to give the controle of this ship over to the other engineers quite yet, but he managed to convince himself to just leave engineering and not go back.
He picked up a phaser from his room and put it in a holster. He always would rather have one and not nead it than nead it and not have one.
He headed down to the transporter room. He gave a greating to the transporter engineer and stepped onto the transporter pad.
"I have an old freind who lives in I beleive what you call New York." he said to the human transporter controler.
"Please call me if they start breaking anything." Lo'Tel said, reffering to the repair engineers.
She smiled and nodded her head, then Lo'Tel was shot off through space in a million peices. He loved the feeling and always tried to convince people that he could see where he is when he's being transported.
He appeared down in a dark streat of the city. He thought his freind could wait in the meantime he wanted to get some of that Genuine Terran Italian food.
he stepped into the place and stared around at all the people in the room, waiting for anyone to take his order.

~Mess Hall

Riley had to eat some time. She had been lingering around Devereaux since they had returned to 'their' time, pondering all the implications. Rightfully, they should return to Corsair, report to Hubbard...Of course, with Devereaux still comatose, she had that as an excuse, as long as they didn't decide to transfer him to a base facility. And in any event, she was obligated to contact Hubbard at her first chance. But her opinion of these people had changed...she no longer saw them as the enemy, as weak barbarians to conquer. They had been good to them, had trusted her to the point of putting her in charge of their Special Ops...of course, Hubbard would see that as a prime opportunity to spy.

Sighing, she headed for the mess hall, silently cursing Devereaux for leaving her alone in all this. As she entered she looked around, hoping to find Lo'Tel. Once, she had bristled at the sight of a Carddie, even a part one, but now she saw him as a friend, and sought his companionship. But when she didn't find him there, she decided to head to the bridge. The ship was running on a skeleton crew. Maybe she could do some research, find out where the Corsair was...

As she stepped onto the bridge, she noticed Tenjin there and let out a breath. No illicit use of the computers with the XO there. Still, she felt obligated to say something. "Hello, Sir. Is everything...ship-shape?" All right, so bluffing wasn't exactly her forte!

Jon glanced at her. "Can I help you, corporal?" He met her gaze, and shifted uneasily into a turn to face her, his arms folded behind him politely. He glanced around the bridge. "Yes, everything's doing just fine. Now, any particular reason you came up here? I trust it wasn't to just shoot the breeze." He didn't smile, but he did let his body relax a little. ~Hmm, she's not bad lookin'... oh don't start Jon. She's way younger and way outta your league. Besides, you're her boss. So? So... don't get you and her in trouble... whatever...~

Lo'Tel was dissapointed in finding that Italian food was not as good as he hoped in real life. It was a bit too bland for him. He decided to see his friend after he left the place.
He walked down a couple blocks of old town New York. He went over to a small alley way and stood there for a moment.
"I knew I'd find you here." He said to a dark shadow sitting in the corner.
"Do you have any information for me?" The shadow asked.
"Umm," Lo'Tel looked behind him to make sure he was the one being addressed, "I don't exactly understand what your talking about."
"I asked you to get me information didn't I?" The shadow asked, now losing some of it's cool.
"Umm, No!" Lo'Tel replied, quite anoyed now.
"Well, what did I ask you to do?" The voice plead
"This is stupid. Goodbye, Kell." Lo'Tel said, turning and walking away.
Suddenly a two people came from behind him, holding phasers. They were both wearing Terran Police uniforms.
"Oh, I get it," Lo'Tel said, "Kell put you up to this and tried to freak me out with one of these "Caute in the wrong place" jokes, eh?"
"Kannata, your freind was killed trying to break into a restricted section of Starfleets files. He was killed by a shock from a circuit he tried to move." The man originaly posing as his freind said.
"So just sit around asking people who come here the same questions again and again?" Lo'Tel said, "That must get pretty boring."
"We have much more proof that points to you, though." The man said, shifting toward him a couple steps.
"Oh, I would love to here about it, but I have to go make sure my engineering doesn't explode.
=/\= Lo'Tel to Diamond, one to beam up.=/\= Lo'tel said, and soon dissapeared up to the ship.
He headed to his room, quite destressed as to have heard other evidence against him.
He went back to his room and decided to research it. All that he descovered in the end is a small bit from his friend's will involving him.
layed down in his bed for a moment, fealing better hoping that was all they had on him.

"No, Sir, of course not." She shot him a defiant glare, not appreciating being challenged by a newcomer. Still, she respected rank, to the degree that the person behind it wasn't an idiot, and didn't challenge him. "I was just looking for someone. Computer, location of Lt. Lo'Tel..."

=^=Lt. Lo'Tel is in his quarters.=^=

Riley nodded, then glanced at Jon. "If you will excuse me, Sir." She turned to the turbolift, unable to shake the feeling of unease that had settled over her as soon as they'd come back to this time.

Jon nodded, and watched her go. He felt... odd about her. Something just set him on edge, something about her wasn't right. He couldn't quite put her finger on it, but something just wasn't right. ~Ah well, I'll probably get over that once I get to know her. She'll be fine... I think. I hope?~ His hand ran idlely over his phaser holstered on his belt. Still, it didn't hurt to be on guard.

~Lo'Tel's Place

Walking slowly, Riley was deep in thought as she approached Lo'Tel's room. She wasn't certain why she was turning to the Carrdie...maybe it was because he was just that...a mortal enemy, at least his people...and she was trying to prove something...or maybe it was because he was just nice and he was someone she could talk to...

And that Jon...she had a bad feeling about him, that he was going to be trouble. She'd have to keep a close eye on him and keep him away from Devereaux.

For a moment she hesitated at Lo'Tel's door, then she finally rang the chime and waited.

-In Lo'Tel's room (of course)

Lo'Tel was sitting at the side of his bed. He couldn't get to sleep thinking about his problem. He went over to his wall panel and continued reading more information on the crime comitted. the evidence they had didn't seem to be worth mentioning, that is why it worried him. Did they have something else?
He continued reading, but then the little chime rang out in his room. He quickly turned off his computer, and ran over to pull on some pants over his sleap shorts. He didn't care to be seen in what he considered pajamas.
"Come on in." Lo'Tel said, sitting down on his bed again.
The door opened and he saw Riley standing there.
"Riley, how are you doing?" Lo'Tel said, although there was still the little cardasian in his brain telling him to run for it.

~Lo'Tel's Boudoir

"Um....Riley hesitated, unable to help bristling a little as she stepped into the room. But then, she was the one who had come here. "I...just wanted to see how you were...to apologize for how I acted. I didn't mean anything by it...that's all."

- Earth
- England- Portsmouth

It had been a long time since Alex was last on Earth more to the point a long time since he had been home. Portsmouth was busy as always; people in Starfleet and normal clothing filled the streets. Alex had orginally moved to Portsmouth to attend College and remained living there before moving to San Fransico. He walked down the street just looking at the cafe's; the sun and clouds; the trees and fountains. Without looking walked into a man who immedialty looked at him.
"Alex Ream. Alex Ream is that you!" Alex looked at the face for some time before re-calling the man's name.
"John it can't be you?" Alex said shaking the man's hand.
"It is, well sorry Captain" Alex smiled; the man was dressed in civilan clothing however wasn't too fond of the military.
"How long as it been?" Alex asked John still amazed.
"Well lets see; it was before you moved to teach at the Academy so 4 years ago; wow it's been a long time how you been?" The man asked taking Alex into a cafe and sitting down
"Good thank you?" Alex asked
"Yeah really good I got married. What have you been doing then?" Alex shook his friends hand
"Congraulations I must meet her. Not much been.." Alex tried to think of the best way to phrase it "away." He said
John smiled and nodded. "Your mum said you got a command. The Diamond?" Alex nodded
"Yeah the first one anyway I blew that one up and got a new one. The rest is history" Alex wanted to say classified but coudln't to his friend.
"So how long you here for Alex?" John asked getting ready to move
"Until orders arrive" Alex said moving to.
"Come on I'll take you to meet the Mrs" Alex smiled and followeed

"I...just wanted to see how you were...to apologize for how I acted. I didn't mean anything by it...that's all."

"Oh, relax." Lo'Tel said, "That was so long ago I barely remember it happening."
Lo'Tel walked over to the replicator and asked for a bowl of Bajoran tomato soup.
"Would you like anything?" Lo'Tel asked.
(Mini tag Riley)
Lo'Tel walked over and sat down on one of his two large couches.
"So, is there anything in specific you wanted? My quarters are kind of out of the way of most places to just be 'Passing by'." he said to Riley.
"Go ahead, I'm an open book." Lo'Tel said, making a little hand gesture that looked like an opening book.

~Lo'Tel's Pad

"Oh, relax." Lo'Tel said, "That was so long ago I barely remember it happening."

Riley shrugged. "I'm just saying..."

Lo'Tel walked over to the replicator and asked for a bowl of Bajoran tomato soup. "Would you like anything?" Lo'Tel asked.

"Um, no, thank you." She shrugged and followed him, flopping down on one of the couches.

She shrugged again, thinking that maybe this was a bad idea. "Um...nothing, really. I mean...it's good to be back where we belong, huh?" Oh, lord, this was a really bad idea. "I mean, of course...so, um, what plans do you have now?"

"I mean, of course...so, um, what plans do you have now?"
"Hmm, well my plans have gotten a little more complicated than I expected." Lo'Tel thought for a moment. He didn't realy want to tell anybody about troubles with the law until he had finnished working them out.
"But, I suppose I'm just going to stay working on this ship for the time being. It keaps me busy." Lo'Tel then thought back to the surcumstances that they had come aboard the ship.
"Hmm, I suppose you might be looking foward to seeing some of your family again? after all you didn't even sign up to be taken a hundred years into the future." Lo'Tel said, taking a small sip of his soup.
