SPARTAN-IV or Marine and why?: Why choose a marine? Because, everyone generally goes for the strongest and most intelligent soldier. But in my case I pick the underdog. They don’t need any fancy augmentations or big guns. Just some blood and sweat to get the job done. And when playing as a Spartan its so easy to kill Covenant but as a marine it takes some real guts and smarts to survive.
History: Born on Earth, Jack was surrounded by humans and lived on the safest planet in the galaxy. But with the outbreak of the Covenant-Human war things in his life were turned upside down. His father was a soldier but he was killed in action on Harvest at the start of the war. His mother, heart broken, committed suicide, orphaning him. For years Jack moved from foster home to foster home trying to find a shred of a new life. Although the start of his life was rocky he still managed to uphold standard marks in school.
It was a short time after high school that he joined up with the UNSC, trying to follow his father’s footsteps. There he signed up for frontline duty but trained in numerous fields. Anything from armoured to sharpshooter training. But Jack excelled in stealth and close combat. Some called him a ghost, claiming he could pass through walls. Further building on his talents he became an experienced demolitions man and excellent saboteur and scout.
In the Academy Jack received high grades in stealth, as mentioned above. But he was recommended for frontline action rather than stealth operations instead of covert-ops. When Jack asked why the military higher ups claimed that operation like that were left up to Spartans. Upset, but not one to hold a grudge, Jack signed up for further training. Particularly in close combat and ranged combat. With practice he began a model soldier with skills in any situation. For this he is a wanted marine for any platoon or squad.
