Letting the door bang shut behind her, Shaide cast a scornful eye over the black hole she could only call the Blue Team quarters. It literally appeared as if a nuke had detonated right in the centre. It definitely wasn't going to be easy to clean up this mess.
"Jun, upload that program you were talking about. The one that supposedly makes cleaning fun."
"Eh, well, it's not that simple. Only really works on little kids and Marines."
"I see. Well, we can always annoy the others into helping."
"We? I fail to recognise where I am brought into this."
"You've been in my helmet for four years influencing my decisions. In my opinion it's your fault I let this room get so messy."
"My fault? MY fault? I've been telling you for months that this room needs a good clean out!"
"Alright then, I'll see if I can get the others on the case. You can go and annoy the Captain again."
With what could only be described as a sigh, the artificial intelligence went back to trying to hack into the Captain's handheld computer.
Shaide picked up a loaded rocket launcher and hung it on one of the appropriate weapon racks, then remembered the mission simulation she was supposed to be attempting to finish.
"Master Chief to the Captain's office immediately, please."
With a scowl, she turned back towards the door. The mission sim and living quarters clean would have to wait.
"Stupid PA," she muttered, "Always interrupting..."
Later
The door banged open, revealing a rather ticked off Shaide. Junketsu, who had retreated to the chip slotted into the Spartan's helmet, grumbled something about new security systems on the Captain's handheld computer, but was shushed in a rather rude manner.
"Unbelievable! How dare he suggest such a blatant disregard for regulations? How DARE he?!"
"I can't believe he said that either, Chief, but I don't understan-"
"Butt out, Jun. I've already told the Captain where he belongs."
"Not smart, Shaide. You know what he did to the last Spartan who showed apparent disregard for his authority."
"That I do, but I also know that he knows the other Spartans need me around."
"That may be the case, but if I am not very much mistaken, he is planning to retire. His successor may not be so lenient."
"Stop telling me what to do, Junketsu."
"Make me."
"You want me to?"
"What can you do, anyway?"
"Have you decommissioned."
"Good point..."
"Alright, run that sim the Captain wants done. I'll show him fighting like a girl."
"Good for you."
"Jun..."
"Sorry."
"RUN THE SIM, DAMMIT!"
"Yes, Chief."
"Thankyou. Now shut up and don't interrupt me."
