Despite the shoutbox that's currently glaring at me from our lovely welcome table, I thought we needed a place to carry on conversation that wasn't limited to a certain letter count.

Guess I'll get things started. ;B

Hm. So. I went to the library today and got an 870 page children's book. Insane? Yes. Intimidated? No! I will finish before it's due! ;D

Wait, what?! 870 pages for a children's book?

Few quick questions: Is it a continuous story? 'Cause if it was like... A collection, that wouldn't be so bad. But I can't imagine a single child, or parent, that has the patience to read that. Is there a lot of pictures or words? It could be like those Dick & Jane books: one HUGE picture per page with a couple of lines per text... Although, I doubt it... XD

There are absolutely zero pictures, and the more I get into it, the more I realize it's geared toward an older audience, despite the ages of the characters.

It's initially a Japanese book, but it was translated into English, and I'm really lovin' it. I'll give a summary when I read a little more. :]

    Yay! :3

I totally want to read it.

    !*!

Okay, new topic, 'cause I have to share this. There was this guy who was waiting for his wife at work today. (The wife was shopping) He kept making these stupid puns about EVERYTHING. And, he wouldn't stop following me and Ms. Tracy around.

It was starting to get annoying and creepy. I honestly think his wife was a mail-order bride from Hong Kong.

That's... weird. D:

That's why I'm destined to be a writer. Customers make me angry/creep me out.
And no, they are not always right! D:

[I so typed "Wright" instead of right at first. Haha.]

You have no idea. Getting the lotto would be REALLY awesome. I hate working with people in person and having to count back change.

    My math is awful. At least with some sort of online business, all of the money is electronic. D;

Not to mention that talking to people over the internet is easier. You don't deal with irate customers the same in person as you do over a bunch of pixels. ;B

Not to mention that you could actually get irate back online. That's the one thing that really bugs me.

If you say even one smartass comment back, all hell breaks loose.

Mhm. I imagine it's worse in fast food, though.

Getting someone's burger wrong could be disastrous. D:

Oh, believe me, it is. I worked for fast food one day and that was the worst I've ever felt in my life.

On another note, I'm going to World Market and buying 2357634 tons of pocky this weekend.
Oh, the joy. ;DD
