Okay here are the rules and regulations to Ultimate Hogwarts. They are not too difficult to remember and they need to be followed. Any rule breaking or complaints about the rules need to be reported to me and the person will get house points taken away from their house. First time violators will be warned after that other actions may need to take place.

Registering and Applications:

1) First and Last Names: When you register please be sure to include a first and last name. People that only have first names or screen names such as HpWizard08 will be deleted on sight and you’ll have to re register.

2) Read the Master Plot, Rules, and Fact’s: Some of the rules apply to the application process, and the plot could impact your character. Please make sure you read these forums.

3) Filling out your Application: Now we all know that it can take a while for you to fill out your application but there is a limit. You have a week after you register to finish and submit your application. Not getting the application done in the time alotted results in a ban. This is for space purposes and to sort out the good roleplayers from the bad.

4) Avatars: The Avatar list is here in the Rules and Regulations forum. All avatars are on a first come first serve basis. Unless someone has consented to sharing an avatar (this should only happen in the event of a twin, triplet, etc.), then there should be no two avatars that are the same.

5) Model Character Applications: These are your made up characters that are really fun to write about. You can make just about anything you like about them. This is a rated R site so remember that.

6) Special Character Types: If you want to have a special character (i.e. werewolf, vampire) you need to read the rules for those and fill out that special application. If an application does not exist for the character type you want, PM an admin.

7) Admins: The admins have the right to deny or tell you to fix your applications. This is not against you personally. The admins are here to keep everything running smoothly. Don't be afraid to talk to us. After all... we're all roleplayers. If you are offensive to another player or rude in anyway, the admins hold the right to ban you.

8) Pestering: If someone does not make a reply to your character the second they get on, chill out and give them a while. This is not a real world. It does not actually exist. A fantasy is no reason to get upset because someone did something to a character that you don't like. If someone has a character who is married to your character, and their character commits adultery, get over it. They're just making a story. Its not real. Chill out.

Role-Playing Rules and Tips:

1) God modeling: God modeling is expressly forbidden. You only get one warning. If this style of roleplay persists, we will be forced to ban you. No questions asked.

2) Sexual Content/Language/Internet Lingo: Keep it to the rated forum people. Some of the people on this site really don't want to stumble across a sex scene in the middle of a potions class. Understand that you shouldn't be posting only in the rated forum. We want to see your character interacting with other characters too. Language...please refrain from cussing a lot in the cbox. We understand that it happens sometimes. If it is within your characters nature to swear twenty-four seven, then please warn whoever you are about to roleplay with. Internet lingo is prohibited in roleplay. The only place that internet lingo("lol" "omg" "idk", etc) is allowed is in the cbox.

3) Posting Length: Please refrain from posting one to two line replies in roleplay. If you were able to write a few paragraphs in your application, then you can certainly do the same in roleplay. It's understandable if you get writer's block, but try not to make it a habit.

4) Age and Spell Casting: Many spells are hard to learn for first years, and most wizards and witches cannot do non-verbal spells until they are in their seventh year. First years should not be able to cast the killing curse. It's that simple.

5) Creating More Characters: There is no limit on the amount of characters you have, so long as you are able to keep all of those characters active. However, you should not be churning out a new character every two days. You should have at least 30 posts with your most recent character before creating a new character.

6) House Point Rewards: -under construction-

Lessons and Graduation:

1) Attending Classes: This is NOT required. If a teacher has put the effort into making a lesson plan, then it's courteous to make at least one post in that class. If you attend a class, there's a possibility of earning house points.

2) Graduation: Once your character has graduated, he or she will be expected to leave Hogwarts and start their life. It's just like the real world. Jobs to choose from are at Ministry, St. Mungo's, Hogwarts, and in the shops in Diagon and Knockturn Alley.

3) Dropping Out: Understand that once your character drops out your character has very little chance at getting a job at St. Mungo's and the Ministry unless that character is home schooled. It's just like in real life. If you don't get your high school diploma, then you're probably not going to be a doctor.

Other Information:

1) Maximum Avatar and Signature Size: The maximum avatar size is 200x200. We do realize that it is hard to get signatures that small sometimes, so contact one of the admins if you feel you need help or have a question about it. Signature size should be within reason. If it stretches the page horizontally, then it's too big.

2) Violations of the Rules: If anyone sees any violation of the rules please contact one of the admins. We will deal with the problem and continue on role-playing.

3) Advertisements: Keep suggestions for advertisements in the cbox. If the admins support it, we'll make a forum strictly for advertising.

4) Secret Code: Find a way to incorporate this saying into your application so that the admins know you've read the rules. If it is not in your application than you will not be approved and the admins will not point you in this direction. As a role player you should be reading the rules before regestering. The code phrase is: Welcome to the mobscene.
