-{-OOC-}- My first post in the rp! Yay! [-IC-] ~Together We Rise ~Together We Fight ~Together We Conquer A she-wolf sprinted through the trees, swift as a squirrel, and twice as agile. Wind ruffled her ebony fur, the sun filtering down through the branches producing light and dark splotches along her back. Her ears flicked as a spruce bough clipped her tail. Bothersome. Her pads made soft thuds as they pounded the ground. Her eyes, the left crimson, the right bright yellow, blinked as snow flurried around her head. Where was she going? Who knows? Why was she running? I couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is her name. Terralee. What do you mean, "What?" It's her name. She is Terralee, a two year old fae on a mission in life. What' s this mission, you ask? Why, to find a family, of course! Her entire life's work has been to find a family with which she can be strong. A Family to complete her. She has none, you see. Terralee's parents died long ago when a lava tube opened up in the middle of their den in a far-away land called Paragon. She is the last vestige of her blood-line. There are no others. How does she find the strength to go on? Simple. She loves life far too much not to. She loves the cool breeze, the birds, the trees, running, playing and swimming. Her favorite terrain, in fact, would have to be water. In this respect, she is like a vole, or a beaver, or maybe even an otter. Yes, an otter. Like an otter, she loves water. How very poetic... But, I digress. I'm sure that you would like to hear her story... ... ~Together We Play ~Togther We Sing ~Together We Breathe Terralee stopped, panting, as she came to a small clearing. There were poppies growing rampant in the small glenn, visible even through the fine layer of snow covering their heads. She sighed. Always poppies. Never something she liked, like..... She shook her head. She couldn't think of a flower she liked, so, she gave up. What did it matter, anyways? She trotted out into the small open area and lifted her muzzle to the wind, drinking in the scents of the new land she had found herself in. Immediately, one stood out from the rest. Wolf... ~Together We Learn ~Together We Age ~Together We Fall in the End

OOC Sorry I took so long. xP Hope I was detailed enough.

Another day for Vale, and another place to become familiar with. He chuckled idley at himself as he strolled through the forest, remembering the last place he had explored a few days ago. Hoping very much that he wouldn't get lost here as well, though he did get to meet another wolf that day. It was obvious that winter was here to stay, though the evergreens in this forest had at least left some of the ground free of snow.

"I wonder what I will come across out here..." He questioned the trees, and anything else that might be listening.

The male's agile movements could be seen when the underbrush was exceptionally thick, or a fallen tree would present an obstacle. He may have not been the strongest wolf in the world, but he certianly made good use of his sleek streamlined body as he leaped and manuevered around. Not heading in any specific direction, or towards any goal, but instead moving at a pace that he could take in the sights and relax.

Thick underbrush and closely grown trees began to thin, as what he suspected was a clearing was coming up. His efforts to smell what was ahead, were sabotaged by the wind gently pushing from behind him. He was not expecting to find anyone else out here however, and was full from an earlier meal. So it was no skin off of his back if a prey animal smelled him coming, and took off before he got there. It also meant that he was not making any great effort at stealth, stepping on sticks and on light sheets of icy snow.

"Figures, right before the clearing I would run into this." He grumbled to himself at seeing a final obstacle of bushes and evergreen branchs, just before what he could see was a clearing with what might be flowers of some kind.

A small bit of impatience dictated that he close his eyes and trudge through, rather then take the time to find his way around to a less dense opening. So he did what he intended, making a rather noisy entrance, and not expecting to see the other that was already in the clearing.

[Terralee]

-{-OOC-}- I'm assuming that you're Mikoshi's player? [-IC-] Terralee's heart sped up slightly. The scent was definatly wolf. And male. He was comming from upwind. Finally, someone to talk to! She'd not met another creature since she arrive in these parts. She had been so lonely, not to mention lost... And any creature would be better than the ones she last encountered... ~Together We Rise ~Together We Fight ~Together We Conquer The last creatures that Terralee had encountered had been, for lack of a better word, evil. They fought amongst themselves and others. They stole each other's food. They stole mates and killed pups. They were even cannibals! And they had held her prisoner! Horrid rabble, they were. Nearly tore the skin from her back. But, as any sensible wolf knows, you cannot be strong when you live off of the flesh of your own kind, and she eventually over-powered them... ~Together We Play ~Togther We Sing ~Together We Breathe Shaking her head, she banished the memories. Those poor dears..... was the last vestige of attention she paid to the thoughts of the pupknapped and murdered children. She sighed and began pacing in a circle amidst the red flowers . ~Together We Learn ~Together We Age ~Together We Fall in the End

After bursting through the brush into the clearing, Vale started to open his eyes, and shake off some debris that had clung to his fur. It was then, that he realized there had been someone else in the clearing. He scolded himself for not being a little more cautious, when he was not able to smell what was ahead, but soon turned his attention to deciding how to react.

The other wolf seemed to be pacing amongst the flowers, but he was sure they had seen him enter. Though not entirely certian how to go ahead with the awkward meeting, he opted to just be direct and start walking towards the other wolf. Doing so in a slow manner, and hoping they did not take it as a sign of aggression.

"Hello there, I'm not interrupting anything am I? I didn't mean to barge in like that, at least not if I had known someone else was out here."

Vale's eyes examined the other from a distance, and started to wonder who they were, and what brought them out to such a tranquil clearing. They were not the first wolf he had run into in these new lands, and he was sure it would not be the last. A light chuckle escaped his mouth, as he remembered something that he should have done already.

"I'm sorry, I forgot to name myself! I'm Vale."

[Terralee]

-{-OOC-}- Figured as much [-IC-] She jumped slightly as he crashed in through the undergrowth. She had known he was coming but hadn't expected him to come like that. She shook her head, standing up straighter and shaking snow from her dark pelt. She was a bit skitish when it came to supprises. And a wolf that you didn't know busting their way through a wall thickly interwoven brush... Well, that could be quite a suprise. Her yellowish-brown tail tip flicked to the left as she aquainted her eyes with the other wolf's appearance. ~Together We Rise ~Together We Fight ~Together We Conquer He was slim wolf. Stream-lined, probably quick of foot. He had a fairly normal pelt coloration, one like that of many gray wolves. He didn't look in the least threatening. The most distinct feature, to her, were his eyes. They were blue. A very nice shade, too. Much nicer than her own clashing red and yellow. He was normal. Which is not necassarily a bad thing. Sometimes, when she would look at her reflection looming in the water before a swim, she wondered what it would be like to be normal. Two have a normally-colored pelt. To have a left hind leg that wasn't slightly longer than her right. To have two plain amber eyes, rather than crimson for the left and sunny yellow for the right... ~Together We Play ~Togther We Sing ~Together We Breathe Satisfied that he was no threat and done with her envious ogling, she stepped forward several paces. "It's alright. I am Terralee, but, you can call me Terra, if you'd like." she said. He seemed nice enough, if somewhat shy or uncomfortable. Not that she wasn't that way on occasion, but, it was unusal for her. She was extrememly outgoing. ~Together We Learn ~Together We Age ~Together We Fall in the End

Well they had not attacked him yet, that was good he thought, and his approach had not caused her to back away. So maybe he didn't need to be so tense, which was the cue for him to noticeably relax, with his strides towards her becoming less cautious. Soon he had a name for this wolf he had not seen before, a pretty name at that. Someone he hoped to know better before they parted ways, he had come out here to explore, but more importantly to socialize with anyone he ran across..

“Terra Lee huh, thats a pretty name, and its nice to meet you! Sorry about kind of bursting in like that” was the brute's reply while he moved within a few paces to sit on his haunches in the light snow. His eyes continuing all the while to soak up the other's appearance, the most striking feature of which was her two eyes, which having never seen multi-colored eyes before, was rather exotic to him.

Vale's tongue lolled out of his mouth while he commented on Terra's eyes. “Those are interesting eyes you have, I have never run across any other wolves with such a trait!” His voice was as pleasant as he could muster, and he meant to be complimenting, but may have come across otherwise. [b]“Speaking of which, I don't believe I have ever seen you around before, are you from around here Terra?”[/b. Vale's hope was that Terra would not mind such a direct question, but he didn't completely expect a straight answer. After all, some wolves might ask such questions to see how far away from help they might be.

-{-OOC-}- It's okay, short isn't bad. [-IC-] She winced at his question about his eyes. Outgoing though she was, she hated when others talked about her eyes. Expecially when they said it was "interesting", meaning that they thought it was weird and freakish. She blinked, willing them to turn a dull gray or amber, but, of course, they wouldn't. It wasn't like she was magical... anymore, at least. ~Together We Rise ~Together We Fight ~Together We Conquer "It's Terralee. One word. And no, I'm not from around here. I'm from far, far away." She replied to his second question, sounding a bit disgruntled when he mispronounced her name. She didn't mean to, she just didn't like being called Terra Lee. It wasn't her name. Her name was Terralee, meant to roll off of the tounge all at once. She sighed and shook her head. She sat down as well, a couple of feet away from him. ~Together We Play ~Togther We Sing ~Together We Breathe She looked at him for a moment. He wasn't unattractive, to say the least, though that's all that she would think on the matter for the moment. "Forgive me, I am not comfortable speaking of my appearance. I am from a land far from here. It is an island. Paragon, it is called." she continued, appologizing and expanding on her previous statement in the same breath. ~Together We Learn ~Together We Age ~Together We Fall in the End

Vale blinked at Terra's partly hostile reply, and wondered if what he had done was so bad, but if she did not want him to call her that, then it would be polite to follow through with her wishes. "I'm sorry Terralee, thats how you would like me to say it right?" the male obviously wanting approval before he continued using that way of saying her name.

Her next reply was what he had expected though, or at least the part that she was from a far away place. "A long way huh. I'm not really from around here myself!" a smile forming on his face at having something in common with the wolf that now sat across from him. "I now live over with the cavalcade pack." Vale's ears twitched shortly after his comment of where he lived, what Terra was saying did not make much sense to him. Why would she not like talking of her appearance?

"Why would you not want to talk about your appearance? You look find to me." He sounded a bit confused while he gave his half answer, half comment to the curious wolf across from him. He saw no obvious flaws, even from the short distance between them, but maybe he had just not seen something?

-{-OOC-}- [-IC-] "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap.", she said to his first question, looking sheepish and a bit upset. She sighed. She was good at making people dislike her, social thought she was. She smiled slightly, showing slightly yellowed canines, evidence of her slightly rugged life. ~Together We Rise ~Together We Fight ~Together We Conquer "I'm Cavalcade, too, only I'm new, and not around very much..." She explained as she glanced around. There was a slight breeze, sighing throuhgh the trees and causing her to smile for a moment as it ruffled her fur. She loved the wind. It was the only thing that, no matter where you were, you could find and find comfort in. ~Together We Play ~Togther We Sing ~Together We Breathe She made an odd noise after his last comment. It was somewhere between a whine and a sigh. There it went again. "I'm used to being regarded as odd to say the least, because of my pelt colorations and my eyes..." she growled softly as she looked down at the ground, pawing at her brown tail-tip. Her yellowish leg thumped slightly as she thought about how she wished she could be a normal gray wolf. Her black pelt was unusual enough without all of the odd colors thrown in. ~Together We Learn ~Together We Age ~Together We Fall in the End

He was a little surprised at how she reacted to her scolding of him, mostly because he didn't see anything wrong with expecting others to say their name correctly, but he smiled happily at her none the less in the hopes it would make her worry less. "Nothing to be sorry about, its only fair that I say your name the right way!" Vale chuckled in an attempt lighten the mood.

Vale's ears twitched in response to Terra saying that she was from the same pack as he, which was just what he had been looking to do, meet more of his pack. "Really? Thats interesting, I have been having trouble running into the rest of the pack myself. I'm glad I ran into you, I was starting to wonder if there really was a pack!" his voice turning to laughter towards the end at his own half joke about the cavalcade pack being so ethereal.

A confused look formed on Vale's face with she began to tell him that people regarded her as odd, his eyes scanning over her for the imperfections that she mentioned, but only saw unique coloring that most wolves had. None of which struck him as odd, and certainly not as a bad thing. "What do you mean? I don't see anything at all odd about you... sure your not just a plain gray like me, but its better to be unique and stand out a little!". Vale wasn't sure how best to put it
