[Pandemic]

It's no problem! I've taken a while plenty of times before. Don't feel bad! Sorry this post wasn't the best either...


The scene couldn't have been better if it had been planned. The two wolves were having a wonderful time playing in the light snow and Vale certainly was getting the grand tour of the territory. The river ran by them swiftly as they enjoyed the last remnants of the fading day. Neither wolf had seemed to notice that the sun was now just a sliver on the horizon. The forest around them was rapidly darkening as was the sky above them. It would soon be completely dark all over the land. Maybe it was time to put the playing to rest.

Before she could think another thing, she heard Vale declare his position as the chaser once more. Out of the corner of her eye she saw her adversary in the air heading towards her for another pounce. Her laughing quickly ceased and she quickly dodged the attack, rolling out of the way of the pounce. She scrambled to her feet, her tail still wagging behind her. She'd barely escaped the grasp of her playmate and she wasn't about to get caught off guard again. The darkness was taking it's toll on her though. Still smiling, she couldn't help but let a huge yawn escape her lips. Her jaws opened wide and her tongue stretch from her mouth. She shook her head from side to side as if to dispel the sleepiness that was slowly coming over her.

"Whoa Vale! Look, it's already dark out. Maybe it's time for me to get back home. The pack is probably settling in for the night and I should be there. I had a great time though Vale, don't hesitate to come back over to my territory sometimes for a visit!"

"Well darn!" Vale chuckled when it became apparent that his latest pounce had missed it's mark, but he would have tried again if not for the direction their conversation took next. His playmate was obviously becoming tired as she told him that it was probably time for her to head off to sleep, and gave him what he thought was an open invitation to return when he wanted, which softened the blow of having the fun stop for the day.

"Ok Panic, I had a lot of fun today! I wish their had been more time though, didn't get to talk as much as I would have liked, but that was probably my own fault... got too caught up in chasing you around!" Vale laughed loudly at the truth behind the last bit of his reply, while slowly standing from his prone position. Vale shook some excess snow off, before turning he added to his goodbye "I'll definitely come back, you can count on that... and next time I'll catch ya again for sure! Good night though Panic.".

With his goodbye given, the brute turned to casually start heading back to the Cavalcade pack lands, already wondering how best to make sure no one from his pack found out where he had been. Though there were no open hostilities as far as he knew, he could see how such friendly relations with a member of a rival pack might be looked down upon!
