It was early, her shift was just starting. It was just after 8am, and she had her coffee in hand and oohh it was a life saver for her. She needed that caffeen kick. She had been up since 6am. Been for a jog and then showered and headed to the hospital for work.
Meredith loved her job, she loved saving people, giving life...it was all part of who she was. She had studied hard to get where she was today, and she wanted to climb the medical ladder, she had a lot of help to give.
She was back in Mystic falls. Here to take her place amongst the founders. She was all too aware of what was really hidden in Mystic Falls, the vampires, witches and werewolves that lived among them. In fact she had been using Vampire blood to her advantage to help heal people. And in her time here she had put it to good use, even using some of the famous Salvatore blood too.
She moved and was sat at the nurses’ station and was dressed in her blue scrubs her white coat over the back of her chair. She had on sneakers she needed them, after a long day on her feet, they were the only thing that seemed to offer her any comfort. Her long dark hair was tied up in a messy bun some stands fell around her face. She placed her hand over her mouth to hide a yawn.
How could she be so tired when she shift had only just started and she still had 18 hours to go. The Hospital was quiet for now, rounds had finished and now she was just catching up with filling in some charts before the no doubt rush came in. It was Saturday….weekends were always busy.
She looked at her cell one last time checking from any messages from Alaric. A handsome all to charming History High School teacher she had met when he came into her needing help....now...the two of them shared something.....but she wasn’t sure what...but she wanted to find out. It had been a while since she dated, and well, she liked Alaric, he made her feel real and alive again and she wanted to explore that more.
Nothing yet. She shook her head and scolded herself for acting like come stupid school girl and pocketed her cell and finished the last of her coffee and knew she had to try and start her medical day. And as if on que her stomach grumbled and she knew she should have had more than a banana for breakfast as she ran out of the house.
