What we're about..

We're an AU Vampire Diaries which means that we still have all the characters from the television programme but allows you to have original characters too.

Set in Mystic Falls it has all the same comfortable, familiar feel to it but without actually following the programme's storyline. Here we're allowing you to have your own little storylines to play out. Perhaps in the future we'll have a site wide plot, but for the moment it's up to you.

All that said we will still have site wide events like Founders Day, Miss Mystic Falls, and all the other town events
Date approx. February

BETTER VIEWED IN FIREFOX.

It had been a weird few days. Kat had been bugging him, pulling him every which way emotionally and physically, making the most of him and Elena breaking up. Each time she came into his life she’d just wind him around her finger and every time he’d fallen back into her clutches.

Elena was, had been annoying like a bee buzzing in his ear. He was so sick of it that even though she’d pushed him away, out of her life she seemed to just try and drag him back in. But now, he was finally seeing sense where she was concerned ’Bloody humans he’d laughed to himself so many times.

As he lay on the settee, he thought about stuff and inevitably one of them dug away into his head, some times even both. Elena was too squeaky clean for him recently. Ever since Klaus had got him back on the path a vampire should be on. None of your namby-pamby being nice thing. Maybe now he was being the nightmare they always thought he was. At least this was easier without all the pretence of being the opposite of Damon. It had been said that he was becoming more Damon than Damon was. Almost like they’d switched roles and even personalities.

Grabbing the bottle of single malt whisky, he drank the last mouthful sighing. Looking around expecting to see his darling brother who was nowhere. The empty bottle smashed into the fire as he threw it. A slight explosion made him step back and look into the flames.

The last droplets of the whiskey spitting as they evaporated. Sighing he grabbed his leather jacket and picking up his keys walked outside to his awaiting car; an e-type Jaguar in racing green. Parking in an alley the side of the Grill he walked around the corner. Looking around he pushed the door open. He half expected to see Damon there, he usually was when he wasn’t back at home. They hadn’t seen Jamie much but she still had the power to dig into him, one of the few people.

One thing Stefan thought was hilarious because she was the only one who had Damon by the balls. Although her sister was definitely cute and definitely in need of him. Stefan was convinced that Jax needed some one to show her a thing or two and he was willing to take on that responsibility. She was so wasted with actually any one else who wasn't him.

Sliding onto the bar stool he slapped his hand on the bar till Sam Cruise came to serve him, another looker he wouldn’t mind giving a good time too. Scotch on the rocks, please,’ he said smiling trying to get some reaction from her. Yawning he held the glass and looked around at his company.

Days had gone by since she arrived in Mystic Falls. Trying to start from scratch again was hard. It meant that she had to find the right group of friends. The only good side about it was that no one would know any of her "secrets" even though it wasn't like she had anything major to hide in the first place. Though that didn't stop her from being curious on what she would be doing if she didn't move. Maybe she wouldn’t feel so incomplete or even lost wherever she went but on the other hand she couldn’t control her parent’s actions or prevent them from packing their bags.

Her eyes wandered over towards the clock, and noticed the time. There wasn’t much to do since it wasn’t like she could pick up the phone and call her friends and ask them where they should head out to. That was when she stood up and walked over towards the car keys which were in a bowl on the kitchen counter and picked them up as she walked outside over towards her black mercury comet. Penelope didn’t know what was available in Mystic Falls, or what was for offer for a teenager like her. But she did hear her parents mention that the Grill was a nice quiet place.

After she found her way around the town, and to the Grill parking lot, she parked the car and started to walk up towards the door. She pushed the door open as she wandered inside. To be honest she thought it might have been more people, though maybe it wasn’t a “rush hour” as most place calls it.

She made her way over towards the bar and took a seat. Her hands were folded onto the counter as she eyed the bartender and placed in an order before her eyes wandered over towards a strange mysterious brunette. She bit down onto her lip lightly. To be honest she felt like a little kid again, where she had butterflies in her stomach. Maybe it’s because she didn’t know how to start a conversation again, and didn’t want to get “tongue tied”. But on the other side you should never judge a person by their appearance, for all she knew he could be a bad person. It wasn’t like they had history together.

“So you come here often?” She questioned the mysterious man, as she reached over towards her drink and brought it towards her lips and took a sip.

Taking another large swig from his glass he smiled and winked at Sam as she came to fill his glass up. Looking at the amber liquid as it slid into his glass, he sighed. The sigh was large and meaningful, not that any one would understand. It seemed like every thing was sent to hell in a fruit basket lately. Not forgetting that he was free and single. It had, did seem strange to say it. It had also been a long time since he had what most humans would class as fun. He needed stimulation, and not the rolling around with someone, not that he was against that but still. He needed to do something, needed to get out, run even. Something he’d done most morning recently. Kat knew how to screw with everything about him. If she wasn’t screwing with him she was screwing with his head. You got the idea as he took a nice long swig. The clank of the ice cubes was loud as they rattled against the sides of the glass. Catching one in his mouth he crunched it.

He motioned to Sam who brought the bottle of which he put his hand over hers gently then looked up at her. She was so soft, so kind of angelic even. He wondered where she kept her halo, and smiled. Please, leave it,’ he said softly. He didn’t care if he got drunk or not as he looked around, nothing too out of the ordinary but something ‘was’ different.

As he scoured the room he noticed a new girl, well young lady. He couldn’t help but smile as she walked in his direction. Trying not to laugh at her he looked forward and saw himself in the mirror behind the bar but still watching her mostly. There was something that screamed to talk to her. He held the glass and ran his finger around the rim. As she got closer he could feel her, it was hard to describe. Maybe he'd spent too much time around Elena in the past or just humans in general. After all he broke the mould in actually befriending one and telling her that he was what he was. That went down a storm with Damon.

His phone beeped and as he looked at it it was just another text from Elena. Sighing he turned it off rather abruptly just as this girl spoke to him. Something he hadn't expected. ’Most days or nights,' he was amused that she'd spoken first. It was definitely usually the other way around in the century and a half that he'd lived, or been on the planet. 'Stefan, and you are?’ he looked her up and down as he motioned for her to sit. Yeah she was at least cute; there was no denying that much. Maybe it wasn’t going to be such a bad night after all. Still though there was the whole Kat/Elena thing, but then that was quickly disappearing. Maybe his present company might help with that.

Staring off in the distance she suddenly lost her train of thoughts. It wasn’t like she expected to have started a conversation with a stranger, she didn’t even plan ahead. Everything seemed to have taken place. Just like the last few nights, she thought she would wake up, start to unpack more of her bags and go back to sleep, but instead today she was out somewhere a little more fancy then being in her house with the old wooden floor boards that creaked every few steps she took. She could have finished the bags after the second day of being in town, but a part of her thought that maybe they would reconsider and move back to her old hometown.

Her eyes reconnected at the handsome figure next to her. A giggle escaped from her lips when she heard that he was there most of the days or nights. He had a sense of humour or he seemed to spend a lot of the days alone, considering he didn’t have anyone around him, then again she just met the fellow. He could be Mr. Popular around town. It wasn’t like she could judge him by what surrounded him. “Nice to meet you Stefan.” She motioned herself onto the seat, and moved her hand over to 'greet' him. “I’m Penelope...” She didn’t want to make her first human contact to be bad, she actually wanted to make a friend or two.

“I hope you don’t mind me asking... or think I’m intruding.” She started to speak as her eyes lowered down to the bottle that was next to him. Maybe he was just out of a relationship? So maybe that might explain the liquor but on the other side of the coin, he could just be some guy that might enjoy a drink or two. “But what is a guy like you Stefan, doing here all by yourself? Wouldn’t you rather be with your friends?” She bit down onto her lower lip as her eyes wandered back up towards his face. She hoped that he wouldn’t take offence to her asking the question.

First impressions are everything when you are meeting someone for the first time. It gives them an idea on what sort of person you are, and whether they are basically worth your time or not. If they are then you continue the conversation, but if not a lot of the time you would just excuse yourself and reposition yourself. But she hoped that she made an alright impression at least with this gentlemen. “I’m sorry, I probably shouldn’t have asked. It’s just been a while since I made small talk with anyone other than my family.” That was when the butterflies came back into her stomach. For the first time in a long time she actually felt nervous around someone, around him at least.

There was something rather intriguing about this girl that kept his attention for more than a few seconds. Nowadays very few things held his attention, and even fewer kept his mind occupied. The last girl who had held any amount of interest was Rebekah, and who knew where she was. But then if Klaus was about, his sister wouldn’t be far from him. She had been fun to play around with back in Chicago but recently there was someone else that was or had had his love. Such a horrid word he thought of now. Although if he could use it to his advantage then who was he to deny Elena’s feelings for him.

He didn’t mean to read people, but some times there was just a little bit of fun in it. Bit like what he was doing now, and he couldn’t help but smile back. She had the most infectious giggle, which was extremely cute. Maybe he’d found a human who he didn’t want to munch on.. yet at least.

’The pleasure is all mine,’ he took her hand and lifted it up to his lips, kissing it softly on the back. Damon wasn’t the only smooth guy. He looked her up and down quickly and winked at her. ‘Intruding? No, why don’t you sit here and keep me company,’ he motioned to the stool next to him, and waited for her to sit as he looked around the room. It wasn’t that crowded, but there was a few ‘people’ that he really didn’t like, but whereas he would just take them out, this was actually more, or at least had the potential of being enjoyable. ’Friends are over-rated.. ‘ he joked, smirking. ’Sometimes, occasionally being on your own with ones own thoughts is more.. hmm.. what’s the word,’ he pretended to think for a second, before motioned Sam over. ’What’s your pleasure, Penelope?’ Sam put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes. She was used to Stefan Salvatore, and his brother, and since he’d come back to Mystic from wherever it was he’d definitely changed. Even if she couldn't put her finger one it. It used to be that it was Damon who was all like Stefan was but now it was as if they'd swapped bodies or something.

’What would you like to drink? Don’t worry I’m not going to bite,’ he laughed. She was so sweet, and soft, butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth type of a girl. He knew of every one in the town and she was definitely new, so at least she didn’t have any preconceptions on who he was or his brother. Handy.

((Sorry it's not that good, but at least I managed to get one out for you))

Maybe her family will never reconsider the long trip back. Maybe it was time just to accept the reality behind it was that she was now going to have to develop a new relationship to a bunch of new friends, and a relationship to the town. It could be better then what she thought it was going to be like. At least this gentleman seemed nice, even though she had only just met him not even five minutes ago.

Her eyebrow arched when she watched her hand lift up towards his lips. His soft lips pressed against her hand. Her eyes wandered back to his brown eyes that seemed to sparkle in the lighting of the bar. She was curious if this handsome young man was like this to every girl he saw. It wasn’t like she could complain, since it was nice to see a respectable man. It wasn’t like she had to know his dark secrets. “Well I would love to.” She sat down at the stool next to the brunette. It wasn’t like she had anywhere else to be. She was taking things slow and steady. In other words she wanted to make a good impression, that she was willing to almost anything to be noticed, whether it was for a few minutes or even a couple of hours.

“Exhilarating... Right?” She tried to guess the word that might fit in the missing piece of the puzzle, in other words the sentence. She was eager to get more knowledge about the mystery man. Well at least more information other than his name was Stefan. It did suit the brunette. “Either way I can’t complain. Because... I wouldn’t have gotten to meet you if you were... you know..” she started to say before her eyes changed directions, over towards Sam. It seemed to her that this person didn’t seem to be impressed, with the way the girl had her hands on her hips, and her eye movement. “My pleasure? Well if I told you I might have to kill you.” She said in a sarcastic tone. “Kidding.”

Another giggle escaped from her lips. Stefan seemed to have a good sense of humour. “What do you suppose I have? Got any suggestions Mr Stefan... And good otherwise I might have to stake you.” She poked her tongue out, as she joked. It seemed to be fashionable these days with authors writing books about vampires, even though she believed that it was just a fantasy of a life people made up because they have nothing better to write about. It wasn’t like vampires walked around in the night time, or they sparkled. They didn't even exist.

(OOC: Sorry it's not the best... I did it in ten or so minutes. I've been busy setting up the laptop, and today was the hottest day in a while.. so I have been avoiding going onto my computer in my bedroom)

He'd been idly sitting there minding his own business, nursing yet another glass of amber liquid that was attempting to fool him that it was whiskey. For so many years he'd been spoiled, you could probably say easily, on enjoying the finest wines, spirits and every thing you could think of. He'd spent so long along the way, on his journeys around the world, meeting so many people, so many who had proven very useful in honing his taste buds to enjoying the best.

He hadn't heard the girl which could probably be because of the amount he'd drunk but the advantage of being what he was, allowed the effects to take longer to manifest themselves.

For all he was he never failed to get what he wanted or to be the perfect gentleman. he knew how your ladies tended to relax when you kissed the back of their hand. As he'd gotten older, technically, though he had, he was getting more picky even to who he even talked to. He was back in Mystic and he'd lost a lot of the old Stefan traits.

'What would you like to drink? Whatever you like,' he didn't know the girls age but she certainly seemed older than eighteen and at lesat that was the legal age in the UK. So that kind of worked. If there was a problem he'd just use other ways to make things easier. It was a little more difficult since he came back because the water supply of the village was laced with vervain. Something that bugged him immensely and was probably due to Damon. That was another thing he had, he would bring up when he was able to pin his brother down. He was possibly going on the literal if necessary.

'Exhiliarating would definitely be good and rather apt too,' she had brains, thankfully. Ones that tried to make conversation with him who couldn't put two sentences together bored him so much you couldn't even start to imagine.

If I were what... ' he smiled the sweetest smile he could give. This girl was going to be rather entertaining in at least one way or another. She definitely had attitude, which he'd always loved, right back to when he was with Rebekah. 'You'd kill me, now that would be interesting, but you'd have to catch me first,' he winked at her playfully. 'Are you fast?' she giggled, the sweetest smile he'd seen in a while so he carried on. 'So you think I'm a vampire, all grrrr,' he made his hands upwards. '..but then I'd be all hurt then,'[/colr] he clutched his chest as if holding a stake. 'Don't forget the holy water too, oh and the garlic and crosses,' he laughed. 'I'd hate to think that you'd get so far and then so far and then have them come back and just bite you,' he looked serious for a moment as he listened to her. Was this girl so ignorant of what was going on around her in the big bad world. This really was going to be fun.

I really don't like hack writer though. Vampires sparkling. Whatever they were on when they came up with that one, I seriously need some,' he rolled his eyes but carried on. Give me a break. I doubt they'll sleep in coffins too. They always seem very uncomfortable to be honest,' the smile appearing again as a glass of what appeared in front of him again. Have you decided what you're going to drink yet? Really not into reading minds. I'm having a day off from using my super powers,' he called Sam over again who dutifully came over.

'Yes,' she sighed. Some people just irritated her so much she found it hard to be nice. He was one of those people when he got like this. 'What is it? I haven't got all day,' she said.

'Whatever the lady would like... please,' he looked at the young lady sitting next to him and back up towards Sam.

These days it was hard to find a gentleman in younger males, simply because a lot of them were interested in cars or car races or well the list could go on for ages. But this Stefan character seemed to have a lot more to offer, and she wasn’t going to lie, he was attractive and knew how to impress someone. “I might just have a lemonade.” It wasn’t like she was the right age to drink alcohol beverages, and she had to be responsible after the car crash she had. Well at least ever since it took place because it seemed like she had a few black outs and didn’t remember the events and she didn’t want the same thing to happen in this town.

His smile was gorgeous. It was a good feature on him. Maybe he even got a few ladies in the past because of it. “I’m fast as lighting. So I would have no problem catching you.” She joked. She could possibly try and catch him, but she wasn’t that fast, yet she wasn’t slow, she was just “right”. She laughed as she watched his hand movements, as he goes on about a vampire. Honestly there were no such things as “vampires” around in the real world. It was just a creature that was made up by very creative people. “Well you could be a vampire, I never know.” She just joined along with the conversation that was happening. It was at least something interesting, and completely different from the way she thought she would be spending her night like.

“Well maybe there is a ‘spray’ that will prevent vampires from biting.” She poked her tongue out as she tried to make a joke. Though it most likely wasn’t funny. “Well I don’t agree with the books that she wrote, that vampire’s sparkle in the sunlight is not how a vampire should be seen as.” What a normal “vampire” should be like is someone that dressed up in dark clothing’s and can’t come out in the day time, and hates the sun, holy water and so on. That is how they are normally projected. “You never know vampires might like to sleep in coffins. But honestly I believe that vampires aren’t real, I believe they are only in the movies and the books.” It wasn’t like she was going to go up to every person and say ‘hi are you a vampire’ they would look at her crazy.

“Taking a break from using your super powers ay?” She questioned as her eyebrow arched with a smile on her face. She could only imagine what the handsome man would look like in a superhero costume, as he ran around town trying to “protect” the innocent. "Do you normally wear a costume too?"

(Occ: Sorry it's not that good. I was rushing it, an I only have an hour to get ready for work this morning. I sort of over slept, and as soon as I woke up I wrote a reply for you :) forgive me?)

Well she was definitely cute, there was no denying that and if he had to spend any time with anyone she certainly ticked the boxes on people who were worth his attention. Plus she was a pleasant change to his whiny ex-girlfriend and his irritating brother who all he seemed to do was save his arse. So what if he had spent a long time with Klaus, there was still some fun in being the evil brother. If you looked back in history he wasn't called 'the ripper' for nothing. There was something about this girl though, maybe it was the naivitly or the innocence but he was really enjoying it. 'Just a lemonade? Wouldn't you like something stronger like.. hmm.. a coke perhaps,' he smiled the sweetest smile, his eyes sparkling in the light that was in the bar.

Lifting his hand up he called Sam over again and asked for a lemonade anyway. As it arrived he smiled at her and motioned for her to sit on the stool next to him. So why don't you tell me why you're only having a lemonade, you know you really want to tell me.. really,' sometimes his curiosity was a little too much or intrusive but you never found anything out right if you didn't ask questions.

If nothing else she was entertaining. You reckon you could, would be able to catch me, perhaps we should put that to the test, although I can't see any reason why I'd want to run away from you.. just yet at least,' he winked at her.

''You've known me two minutes and already you think I'm a vampire, well that's not exactly the first thing that people come up with after the first impression,' he smirked. 'All long teeth and grrr,' he pretended to barr his teeth as if he was going to turn into one and brought his hands up as if he was going to attack her, but still not going that close, before laughing. 'Guess it's made up by hack writers then who were making it up after too many nights drinking,' he pretended to look like he was thinking. 'Makes you wonder though, after all all things like this usually, it's been said that everything had a start, that there was or is some thing in the myths that prompted such... mmm... thoughts,' he turned and drank some of the amber liquid that filled half way up the glass he had, trying to not laugh too loudly. She was more than precious. 'A spray, apparently there are a few things out there that repell or whatever they do to vampires. Not that I've read much on them, just on hearsay and such. One thing I will say that I agree with you that vampires really don't sparkle. Vampires are supposed to be all evil, not all sparkly and well, nice. I suppose if there was vampires then you'd get a few that felt a bit wrong in doing the whole grrr bit,' he laughed more now.

' You could say that about a lot of people who might like to sleep in coffins. I know there's a lot of people on the internet who like all that stuff. Even acting out as vampires etc. Never really got that to be honest or the fascination. I mean, would you ever want to be a vampire, hypethetically of course,' he was actually more than curious now, after all girls like her were rare and it was very interesting or maybe intriguing to find someone like her. Sticking her tongue out just made him smirk, a broader smile creeping across his face. 'I try to shy away from super powers, the whole knickers outside the leggings, really not me,' he looked down at his trousers then back up to her. 'I think I'll stick to what I have on thanks,' he said laughing. 'Of course who knows what I'd do for you though.. I can be rather obliging to the right person,' he looked her up and down then moved his hand upwards to move a piece of hair that had fallen down over her cheek. 'You're very pretty, you shouldn't hide it,' his voice quieter as he looked into her eyes, but not to compel her. She was worth more than that, at least for the time being.

The handsome boy did have a lot of questions, not like she had a problem answering them. Though when she thought about it, to be honest she thought that a lemonade would be different compared to drinking the usual cola, and it wasn’t like she was the legal age to drink. But from looking at this guy, he seemed pretty young himself. Then again it was the trend these days for teenagers to have fake IDs. But that never seemed to be her style, even though she was like every other teen who has drank before, expect without the lucky fake ID. “I thought I would start off with something weak, and work my way up.” She joked with the brunette who had a beautiful smile on his face. “What about you, and your chose in…” Her eyes lowered down to his drink. “Liquor? You don’t look more then eighteen at least. Unless in reality you are older but wearing a disguise.” A small laugh peaked through her lips.

“Maybe we should put it to the test, though don’t be disappointed once I get you. I wouldn’t want to see you upset.” This had to be one of the bestest conversations she had with a gentleman in forever. He was easy to get along with, and had a good sense of humour. Tonight had been better than what she thought it would be. She thought she would be all alone, but now she had most likely the best company in town. “Honestly, I hope you don’t run away anytime soon. I have to admit you are good company.”

Another laugh escaped her lips, when she watched him re-enact as a vampire. Even though she had known him for maybe five or so minutes, it seemed like she had known him her whole life. “Well assuming someone is something they not, does tend to make an interesting conversation.” She stated as she pointed out throughout their session. “But you aren’t a vampire; remember you are a superhero with those amazing powers. I could only imagine that soon enough they will make a comic book after you.” She kinked her eyebrow, as she poked her tongue out at Stefan. Anything would be better compared to those vampire books and movies that were poorly written. Most of them ended up with a human and a vampire falling in love. They needed to be more original and nothing that involves them “sparkling”, it’s unnatural. “You might not read much about them, but you sure seem to know a lot."

People did anything these days on the internet. There were even vampire cults where people believed they were vampires who would brag about “drinking blood” or “sleeping on a coffin” or something along those lines at least who weren’t really vampires. “I’m not going to lie, there are pros and cons about being a vampire… hypothetically speaking. But if I had to give you an answer, I would probably pass. I mean, I couldn’t just leave the house at night time. I would miss the freedom.” There was more freedom being a human. You could go out in the day and the night time compared to a vampire, not like they existed anyway. “I mean if there was a way to walk around in the daylight, I could reconsider.”

Her eyes wandered down towards his lower body, and stared at the trousers. And then back up towards his face again, as she pictured him wearing leggings. It wouldn’t be that bad of a sight to see. “Well that is a shame. But if being in your underpants with a red cape that has black polka-dots, is how you do things. I won’t judge.” She teased as she quoted a characters appearance from the book Captain Underpants, who happened to be a superhero, though dressed differently. He seemed unique.

The brunette started to blush once she felt his hands move upwards to move the piece of hair that had fallen down amongst her cheek. A small smile appeared on her face once she heard his sweet words. “You’re just saying that.” She started to bite down onto her lower lip.

(Occ: Sorry I was trying to make a decent post before I leave for my three week trip :) so hopefully it's good... or decent enough.)

It seemed that unlike normal whenhe'd just ignor this girl or just brush her off like a bug on a windscreen or better still compel her and enjoy what she could give him. After all he was hungry. In fact he was actually enjoying her company. She intrigued him, something very few people had the ability in doing. Especially now. Mystic Falls had certainly changed since he'd left and to now that he was back. People bored him, immensely and the only few that didn't were dare he say it Damon. For all he was he was also his brother, his blood. A fact that neithe of them could deny. maybe his brother had given up on him, on the fact he wasn't coming, he wouldn't be alone in those thoughts. He knew deep down that his brother, Stefan, was technically still alive. His mind so easily came back to her. The beauty in front of him.

Well rest assured I don' t have a fake ID,' answering what she was thinking without realising it. It happened a lot when he lost himself somewhat. 'Lemonade is definitely weak but makes for one great mixer for so many of the other drinks. As for my favourite, hmm,' he pretended to think. 'Hmm.. now that would probably be a smooth single malt, or the finest Cognac from Scotland. Not very big as a country but they make up for it with what they produce,' he gazed into her eyes, which were as clear as a summer's day. I'm a lot lot older than you think. I just have an amazing plastic surgeon,' he laughed as he pulled his cheeks out. Not one wrinkle, amazing. Doesn't come cheap but well worth it,' he teasted. He loved her laugh, so cute. It had been few times when he could say that. Say it and mean it. You know you have the cutest smile, and the sweetest laugh,' he suddenly said, his smooth charismatic charm shining through.

Sweet, cute, adorable, funny and entertaining. Not many people could aspire to being so described. I could run at half the speed I can go and you wouldn't catch me,' he teased some more. 'Oh I don't think you'd be too happy and you'd be the one upset. It's something I wouldn't want to see you. You don't, you shouldn't be. If anyone did I'd certainly sort them out for you,' he smiled reassuringly to her. Taking her hand he held it firmly, not tight, just enough for her to realise that he meant it.

Looking from her towards the door and then back at her the smile crept back on his lips. 'It's nice to hear that you like my company. A lot of people around here wouldn't say that. Bad news or bad boy persona, that's me,' he trailed off. 'You reckon you're all right talking to the Mystic Falls bad boy. Apart from the fact I'm not much of a boy. I can hardly remember that far back. Seems like years now,' well it was truth sort of. After all surely he'd be forgiven for not remember a hundred and forty-five years ago. 'I do like the idea of being a super hero as long as I didn't have to prance around in a spandex and have my pants on the outside. Never really appealed that,' he laughed. 'And you find it easier to learn about them when it's hands on, I know a few and sure a few are bad, but some do actually go around being all nice. And yes, none of them sparkle, they always say that to tell the truth can often be taken as fals, like a joke. He listened more at her thoughts on vampires

'What about if you could leave the house, maybe a spell that coule, would allow you to do that. And it does also have in being a vampire because you can compel people to do things then compel them to not remember afterwards,' he didn't want to say too much but he couldn't resist the challenge of shocking her, maybe just a little. 'So it woul d be like the ultimate ID, for example as one of the uses. You'd just compel them to not wanting it or accepting one you had, so that's got to be another plus, right?' he'd not met any one at least recent who was so set in her way of thinking how vampires didn't exist. 'So what do you think now?

There was just something about this boy. As if there was something that still needed to be discovered, though she was completely fine with waiting and taking her time to discover it. Considering there was no way Stefan could be mister perfect. He was handsome, he was a gentleman, and had an amazing sense of humour. The list could go on from what she has picked up from the moment they spoke. At least it would keep things interesting down the track if something were ever to slip up. “Oh really? I think we are the only two that don’t have one.” Everyone seemed to have fake IDs, and even if they didn’t they at least knew someone who was old enough to purchase them the alcohol or the drugs. That was how the teenage world worked these days. “Well I’m sure we could exchange drinks, considering I’m sure you aren’t able to handle the scotch.” Her eyes lowered down to the scotch on the rocks drink he had in front of him. Before a smile peaked through her lips, it wasn’t like she was serious and she knew the he would be able to get the hint. Once she heard that he was a lot older then she could think, she raised her eyebrow. “I really need to stop talking to people around my father’s age….” She started to joke. “Really? You must give me this amazing plastic surgeon’s number, because I can tell you his done an incredible job. It’s left me breathless.” It seemed like they have known each other for years, at least it did for her. She had never felt this comfortable around anyone else, and even if she did it would have taken years where this just took minutes. “Well thank you mister Stefan, I think you have a cute smile too.”

There was no way she going to let him defeat her at this war about who could run faster, and whether she can catch him or not. Though it wasn’t like she knew how well he ran anyway, she never seen him do it, and wouldn’t want to see it anytime soon at least. “I highly doubt that. I could still catch you with my eyes closed.” She felt a lot safer to be around him once she reassured to her that if anyone made her upset that he would sort them out for her. A lot of people would normally back away from the situation or take the other person’s side. That’s what normally happened in the past at least. “At this rate I’m never going to have to worry about being upset again.” At least from all this laughter. Her eyes lowered down again at his hand that held onto hers.

The moment when she heard that a lot people wouldn’t say that they liked Stefan’s company, her eyes appeared attached to his eyes again. It seemed impossible that he is a “bad boy” or any of the labels that people might have put on him. He was completely the opposite from what she saw. “You don’t seem like a bad boy or even a bad person too me. You seem like a guy who is impossible to find. You have this amazing sense of humour, your handsome. And I only see positive things. And whoever has an issue with you, aren’t worth your time.” She was trying to be the reassuring one now. She rubbed her fingers over his hand. “Oh damn, if only you pranced around you could be the next biggest hit on YouTube.” A small giggle escaped from her lips. As she tried to lighten the mood. “Sounds like our everyday life, there is always the good and always the bad. No matter where we go. We always stumble upon it once in a while.”

It seemed like Stefan had a very creative imagination when it came to vampires. It was impossible for there to be a spell out there that would allow vampires to walk the earth. It would mean anyone could possibly be a vampire if they were even real. “It sounds tempting, I mean who wouldn’t want to be immortal and never age, and still be able to leave the house whenever you want. Plus the whole compelling thing is a plus. It means you can get whatever you want without even trying. Problem is that you wouldn’t be able to stick around for too long in a town, because people would start to realize that something is up. And being a vampire that’s been around for so long, it must get very lonely.” Considering people end up turning against you sooner or later, or they would go their own way. “Though if I had to answer, then yeah if I’m able to still have that normal life, then why not.”

It was true and not something he could deny that he was a hundred and sixty two years ole or was it sixt-three now? The years went so quickly. It seemed like it wsa Santa then Easter Eggs then the 4th of July then Christmas again over less than a month. That quick. There were times he just wanted to have it at least slow down. The past few months with Klaus occasionally dragged but while he was in true ripper mode time did seem to be a factor. One day would pretty much roll into the next. Closing his eyes he breathed in deeply, her perfume finding his nose and drifting up it. It was sweet., something unique about it, like her. She was adorable. There was something in side him that screamed that he had to have her. No ifs buts or maybes. And that was before he'd even met her, and the feeling was just growing the longer he was with her. Recently it would have been kill her, drain her and move on, maybe not in that order but this was certainly different for him of late. Different was good right? He was sure he'd heard Elena or Damon or someone say it. Right now they were the farthest away from his thoughts/

I'm definitely way too old to need a fake ID,' he leaned forward. 'Don't tell any one but I'm over a hundred years old, actually over a hundred and fifty,' he said whispering looking serious. 'So you don't have to worrty about being of age and all that. I've not been let out of alcoholic establishments for a very long time,' he smiled leaning back upright. 'Or maybe it's just because of my charm,' he dusted some invisible dust from, his jumper, his nose in the air looking posh then relaxed laughing. His eyes still looking into hers his fingers were around his glass. 'You'd be amazed at what I can handle... and people,' he added the last part quieter.

'Thank 'you' Miss Penelope or should that be Lady Penelope for gracing me with you r smile. Just you being here has brightened my day. To think when I got up this morning all I had planned was meeting my brother for...' he trailed off. 'errr a bite,' he smiled, chuckling somewhat. If she only knew. Well they always say that a true word is often... something... He was tired, his memory it seemed was getting worse. But then after this amount of years it was bound to forget stuff. Well that was his excuse which seemed to be being accepted right now. Of course he could always say that Klaus had friend his brain but truth was that all Klaus had done was reawakened what was really Stefan.

'Don't you think that would be rather perilous in running with your eyes closed. After all what would you do to make sure you didn't hit anything or even know where you're going for that matter,' he drank another mouthful of the golden liquid that still sat in the glass next to them. 'And how do you know then whether I've not cheated,' he teased. Oooo I've got it for you,' he licked his lips to moisten them. I've got just the answer Come here,' he leaned towards her as she moved towards him. I know what you use, you'd use your bat-senses,' he smiled as he whispered to her. 'Don't worry I won't tell any one. Any friend of bat-girl is a friend of mine,' he pulled away tapping his nose. 'No problem, mums the word,' he winked at her. 'Our secret she was more than sweet, the likes of something he'd not seen much of around here for decades it seemed. The mixture of pure naivity was a rare occurance and very refreshing. It was a quality that needed protecting and if that meant him then so be it. Quite ironic as he'd probably be protecting her from people like him. Strange world.

'Youtube? that's that thing on the internet right?' he really wasn't much into all the computer stuff. We don't even own a computer. Don't really see the point to be honest. Every thing we want we can find other ways of finding out about it, lets just say we can be very recourceful,' he shrugged his shoulders. 'I suppose it would be easier to find out more about vampires too, definitely easier. I prefer the hands on...' he trailed off. 'Being immortal, not really when you think that every thing has at least one weakest link, their achilles heel. Take vampires for example, even if they could go out in the daytime they still have the problem of someone chopping off their head. Although that goes with every thing. Oh and vervain isn't too wonderful for them either,' he couldn't believe he was saying all this but he just couldn't help it. 'There would probably be some problem but if you were careful no one would find out. As long as you were careful,' he paused. I'm just saying what it could be like. Hyperthetically of course,' he ran his hand over her forehead pushing some hair away that had fallen.

'You know you could try it, I mean if you were sure. I could show you want a real vamp looked like,' he looked around the room. Becasue I am one,' he looked serious but with a smile on his face, his voice lower, his eyes looking, drowning into her eyes. 'Would you like to see for real,' he moved the hair behind her ear now and ran his hand down her cheek gently, his thumb moving over her lips. His other hand he put on top of hers, squeezing it slightly. 'Your choice,

There was no way that this handsome man was that old. He looked young, well at least definitely good for his age. But he seemed so serious when he admit being over one hundred. On the other hand maybe he could pull off a good poker face. But there was still so much to discover about him. Though maybe it could have been just his charm, if she was a bartender she knew that it would definitely work on her. The brunette leaned in closer towards him and arched her eyebrow. “Just between us, if you are really over one hundred and fifty you really must have an amazing plastic surgeon, because you don’t look it. So I think you should take that as a compliment. You look great for your age.” She whispered to his ear. “Well I can very well see your charm working on all the girls.” That was for sure, just being with him made her feel comfortable, and it seemed like they had been friends for years. At least that was the feeling she got around him.

It made the brunette smile even more once she heard his words, that her even being in the same place as him brighten his day. They were just both lucky to have even talked to each other, or that she even left the house for once and explored the town. It was actually nice to have made a friend from this experience. It would be her first friend she made in this town. So it didn’t just brighten Stefan’s day, but it also brighten her own. And the sound of being called ‘Lady Penelope’ had a nice ring to it. “You’re welcome mister Stefan – and I could say the same for you. I didn’t think I would even meet anyone tonight and I was wrong.” She stated to the handsome brunette. It was the truth, she didn’t think too highly of moving to the new town. She thought it would take months to even develop much of a friendship and to get that trust from someone. “You have a brother? Is he the older sibling?”

Maybe the handsome man had a good point. She would most likely run into something, or even trip over because she could be clumsy sometimes. But it was fun to joke around that she could do it. She moved closer towards him and listened to him whisper to hear ear about how she would use her bat-senses. A giggle escaped her lips as she leaned back into her chair and raised her eyebrows. He did have a good sense of humour that was for sure. “You can do anything you put your mind too – and I know that I can catch you with my eyes closed. And how did you know about my ‘bat senses’?” She questioned him while trying to pull a serious face, though a small smile couldn’t help but appear onto her face. Maybe she didn’t have the bestest poker face. Didn’t mean she couldn’t give it a try. “You promise that it’s our secret only? Because if you start to tell everyone, I will have to come after you.” She poked her tongue out for a second at the brunette.

The brunette was surprised to have found someone who didn’t have a computer. It seemed that everyone from this generation, at least had a computer in their house and used the internet to talk to their friends or even meet new people. But on the other hand he was kind of lucky he didn’t use it because it wasn’t always the bestest thing in the world to use. People always bragged about how good it was, when it did have it’s ugly side too. “Yeah, YouTube is thing on the internet, and you are most likely the only person who doesn’t use a computer – but hey I respect that. I completely agree with you, I think that people just rely on technology too much and there are other ways to find out information.” There was other ways to find out the information without always relying on the technology because sometimes technology doesn’t always last, and sometimes often costs even more money to even repair. “I see your point – but no matter what being a human or a vampire or whatever there are always going to be weaknesses. So why not live life the best you can, because you never know when it’s going to be your last day.” There were a catch to immortality at least for vampires because there were ways to still kill them, but it was a risk she would have been willing to take if vampires existed. If she were able to live an extra hundred or so years that would be fine with her as long as she wasn’t alone. That would be one of the major turnoffs because everyone would get a little lonely at times. “Well hopefully no one would ever find out their little secret if they are smart about it.” About being a vampire.

“If I could try it, then sure why not.” She started to say before she stopped when she heard that he could show her what a real vampire looked like because he was one. At first she thought he might have tried to be funny but that was until she saw his facial expression. It would explain how he knew so much about vampires if he were one, but she always thought they were just creative stories or movies. She felt his soft hand brush the fallen pieces of hair behind her ear as he trailed down her cheek gently before it landed on the lips, and felt a slight squeeze on her hand from his other hand. The time her eyes were looking straight at his the whole time, until she looked around to make sure that no one was too close to them. Her eyes lingered back onto his. “You’re a vampire.” She whispered under her breath. It all was making sense to her, that this guy was handsome, had a good sense of humour, and was a perfect gentleman was actually a vampire as he has claimed to be. Maybe he could have been a good vampire? On the other side of it she didn’t know his history. She nodded her head. “Let’s do it.” Before her hand motioned over towards his knee,

Taking a deep breath he listened more intently at the whole incredible young lady next to him. Leaning back in his chair , arms out he laughed. 'Our secret, yes. Just ours, although you having to come after me does sound rather enjoyable,' he said, a thousand thought going through his head right now. For so many years my family were the centre of the town and we didn't need any outside influences. It's something I, we provided ourselves with'. He shrugged his shoulders. 'All this computer madness seems a little,' a little,' he paused, pretending to think. 'We've got someone coming around to check out every thing, the signal or whatever. Damon is more the technical whizz not me. oh Damon, my brother,' he was loving his time more and more the longer he sat with her. 'Also very true,' he answered before she could finish. 'What's the saying? Something like living life to the full,' he was thinking so many thing as he carried on. And you really don't know when your last day is going to be your last,' of course he had ended a lot of lives and he'd rarely thought about it before.

The longer he stayed in her company so quickly she captivated him. It's surprising just how many vampires there are in the world, and then there is always being around me, I call that a win win,' he could see the look of doubt but mainly excitement in her eyes. 'You've really thought about it quite a bit,' not many people had. 'And you're really so sure because there's no going back,' he laughed as he looked around, thankful that the Grill was fairly empty. His back to the wall as far away as possible in the booth they were now sitting.

Taking a deep breath he moved so that his fangs grew. Slowly they grew longer till they stopped and he ran his finger against the tip of one making it bleed, a single drop of blood balancing on his finger. Do you want to feel...' he trailed off and held her hand up to his mouth. Taking her finger he ran it over the point allowing it to break the skin. 'Now this is a real vampire,' his eyes stared into hers, not moving at all, his voice low. 'What are your thoughts now, now you've met a proper vampire? See, we do really exist and we're not something that someone thought up one day,' he sighed deeply wondering what she was going to do. 'And what do you want to know?' You didn't have to be a genius to know she had so many questions so decided to help out. Okay vamp one on one. Yes we drink blood, most of us drink human blood but some of us drink animals. We don't always kill to get our supply. A whole lot of the time we get it from hospitals, blood banks, you get the idea. As you know we can't walk in the daylight although Damon, me and a few others have rings, enchanged rings that allow us to..err...' he feigned laughing. It was another thing that bugged him about all the vampire stuff. How often in all life he'd wanted to put them right about so much. Not like that was going to happen any time soon. And we're not all bad,' he blurted out quickly.

He wasn't about to tell all about his ripper days and the fact that he wass the most feared vamp in the Southern hemisphere and quite a lot of the Northern too. He smirked not sure how much she actually believed him. ''I guess stranger than fiction,' he looked at her, his fangs having gone back in so he looked normal. His eyes were captivating as his hand ran his fingers through his hair feeling it as it ran through his fingers. Cupping her head with his hand he slid his other hand onto her knee. Are you absolutely sure because there's no turning back?'
