I used to play the original SFB game from which SFC is derived.
Now tugs and pods were an interesting feature of SFB games whether Ptolomey, D5H (why does the game have an F5 model maskerading as the D5?? I have a white metal D5 from the 1980's SFB gaming days!! I use the D6/D7 model for the D5 in SFC!!), Hydran Carvan Tug or Lyran Cougar.
Anyhow old SFB gamers will remeber the use of pods allowed a tug to become a PFT tender, increase firepower, repair other star ships or just carry the cargo.
A lack of SFC 1 Ptolomey model means that I run an NCL model as the HTT 4300 - 4359 Hensley class tug (far superiour) with invisible pods at the moment.
According to SFB Volume III each pod increases move costs by 0.25 and turn model by +1 letter grade.
I have painstakenly typed in a Hensley Class HTT with every pod combination listed in SFB Volume.III. (Henlsey's carry twin pods under the hull tight in).
Typing in took in bloody hours but was worth it!!
Maybe Cleeve could vome up with a Hensley Class (Jackill's Star Ship Manual Volume.I.)
For those interested the Hydran Carabvan tug uses the Lord Bishop hull which just involves using the SFB SSD data inputing into the SFCSFB13 file.
