Jiris's most remarkable feature is his height. He stands two meters tall, towering over many of the other members of the Jekore. Like all other Duros, he has no hair and his eyes are red. His skin is a dark blue, more along the lines of legendary Cad Bane than the blue-green seen among other members of his species.
His casual outfit consists of the white robes of the Ternion within the Jekore. A white tunic, white pants and a white cloak. His boots are black, though, spacer boots from his days as a wanderer and spacer. To this day they are the only shoes that really feel comfortable. On his belt, he does not wear a weapon and is known not to carry any weapon at all, professing the peaceful, worded problem-solving of Gok'Re.

- Vocal Skills: Jiris is a master of negotiation, having served his whole career in Jekore under the path of Gok"Re. It has taught him the art of smooth talking, the ability to use words as an art form to coerce information or agreement from an individual.

Everything Jiris does stands on the bedrock of his principles and morals, and they are as unmoving as bedrock. While Jiris is tolerant and even understanding of the beliefs of others, his own are what he acts on in the end, and they rarely change.
He believes that conflict can be avoided by those willing to put in the effort required, and sees violence as an easy and undesirable solution, almost lazy. However, he does acknowledge that some sentients cannot be reasoned with and accepts the Ekrel's role in protecting their Order from such hostilities. He does not condone violence as a first option, though, believing the Force is the essence of life and that lives should be protected.
Jiris is a loyal friend and ally, believing bonds formed with others is the essence of the Force. He maintains contact with a number of students, keeping his lines of contact and communication open. His natural charisma and air of understanding also draws people to him and helps him make allies.
Jiris was born the son of two Duros members of the Jekore Path of Light in 715 ABY. His parents both went missing on a joint mission not long after his birth, and Jiris never learned much about them afterwards, raised by the Jekore in their ways. He was found to be strong in the Force, with many eyes on him as he grew up. As a youth, he enjoyed mentally stimulating activities like reading and puzzle-solving, but dreaded weapons drills due to his lack of physical prowess. From a young age he took a liking to the teachings of Gok'Re, admiring the use of intelligence, which he possessed, to solve problems and disputes, rather than using the brute strength he lacked.
For many years of his young life he trained as a Trainee before achieving the rank of Knight at the completion of his training. Now an agent of the Jekore, Jiris began building a reputation as a student. After many successful missions, Jiris was on the cusp of another promotion when disaster struck. A civil war had broken out on the planet Aphran, and Jiris and another Jekore Knight were sent to negotiate peace. While on the mission, just as Jiris was about to work on a deal, he discovered the other Knight had assassinated the members of the instigators, hapless laborers with families, in an attempt to end negotiations he saw as 'failing'. Disgusted and disappointed by the lack of control, Jiris left the Jekore he saw as lazy and corrupt, taking to travel among the stars in search of answers and adventure.
As a Duros, it was not hard to find a job among the spacers of the galaxy, and Jiris soon found he had a love for starships. While working on a luxury liner, he even fell in love with the female Duros head mechanic. They married months later and both remained stationed on the luxury cruiser. However, three years later the liner was attacked by pirates, and during the fighting she was killed. As he held her in his arms, she told him to go back and help the students of the Jekore that he had told her about. To fix the problem rather than ignore it. Empowered by her words, he returned to the Jekore, who at first were wary of accepting him back on any amount of trust. But he was allowed to return and went right to work within the organization, putting tremendous effort into teaching and training. He showed qualities that the Ternions of the time found appealing, and after a time finally promoted him to Ward based on his actions.
It was at this time he began to take on students of the Gok"Re. He taught well, teaching that their path was in no way inferior to the Ekrel due to the lack of physicality. During his teaching he accelerated his own training as well, picking up numerous new abilities designed to help him fulfill the role he thought Gok"Re filled for Jekore himself, protector and helper. Finally, at the age of 37, he became one of the three Ternions, now an aged Master of the Force and teacher to all Gok'Re students.
Then came the tragic incident on Coruscant. Jiris was on a self-imposed pilgrimage to Duro, his species' homeworld, when it happened. he was quick to aid how he could, but while he could use the Force to stave off limited exposure to the virus, he did not know how to cure it even with his considerable power. Perplexed,a side project of his in the past year has been studying the virus through the Force, as no scientist of other governments has. He seeks a cure to the virus so that the Core Worlds in their beauty may be resettled. To this day he continues to serve as a Ternion of Jekore's Path of Light, always seeking to aid others as the Force bids him.
