Zerin is a clean-cut Devaronian, quite a world apart from the average types you find lurking in Cantinas and smuggler's dens. He takes good care to look his best and trims his goatee so that barely a hair flies astray. As for his horns Zerin polishes them and ensures that they are kept in good condition, as befits a proper Devaronian.
Zerin carries himself in such a way that he gives off a very dominating air on first sight, in fact every aspect of his appearance is put together to deliver a very specific message to those who look upon him. That he does
not fuck around. Meticulous in dressing himself Zerin is often seen in fine garments that give enough to be suitable for lots of sudden movements.
Usually his attire consists of a dark navy jacket with a gold trimming. This jacket is covered in pockets, each with a separate use. Underneath this jacket he usually wears a tight-fitting thinly woven jet-black material tucked into his trousers. For his lower body Zerin frames the divide with a heavy utility belt, tan in colour. This belt is home to ammunition, weapons and his hardly-used lightsaber. His trousers are usually tan, also with pockets and loose-fitting. He compliments the entire outfit with a thick pair of leather boots, the soles of which are cushioned for quiet footfalls.
• Half-shaft BD 1 Cutter Vibro-axe
This is Zerin's main weapon, barring whatever blasters or rifles he picks up at random. He has modified this vibro-axe so that it has only half of the shaft, making it more effective in close quarters and also allowing him a greater range of motion. It is coated in a light phrik alloy making it resistant to the lesser versions of the lightsaber floating around the galaxy. An actual proper lightsaber will make mincemeat of the weapon however.
• Lightsaber
Zerin's lightsaber, to put it mildly, is a rarely used piece of junk. It's still pretty good considering the state of the genuine lightsabers the majority of people use but still, it's nothing Zerin wants to rely on seriously. It's more of a shaved knuckle in the hole for him that he pulls out when things are
really dire. The blade gives off a light teal glow.
This lightsaber was given to him by his sister, upon reaching the position of Head Fist. It came from the vast stores of Shapani, weaponry and goods looted from all corners of the Galaxy.
It's known for shorting out randomly too, another great reason to use it little.

SilenceSilence is Zerin's highly customized Scimitar Assault Bomber. What he has done to the ship is strip it of virtually all unnecessary clutter, upgraded the engines so that it actually has a warp drive and can achieve speeds comparable to a good starfighter. He has upgraded the weapons to increase their damage output and retrofitted the escape pod cockpit so that it operates as a separate vessel once ejected.
This modification allows Zerin to deploy to the surface of a planet then return to his ship in orbit via the pod, with its own engines and fuel supply. It allows for stealthier entries and exits and with the body of the ship rigged with a remote control and in-built nav-computer Zerin is able to call it down in times of need.
He is able to survive in this ship for about a week with no supply, as it has extra room for storage and a comfortable, if extremely cramped, makeshift bed.
• Excellent Pilot
Zerin is an excellent pilot, something that can only be supplemented by his connection to the force. He has experience in piloting just about any vehicle and even spent time in an undercover mission finding his way around the military ground vehicles of the Remnant Republic.
• Master Tactician
Zerin is known for having a keen grasp on tactics and strategy. His ability to supplement this with precognition powers only serves as an added bonus.
• Proficient Liar
Zerin is so used to spinning tales and lies to supplement his work and streamline his life that he can blindly lie to his own family without much chance of detection. It's just a pity his family knows how slippery he is...
• Weapons Training
Zerin has trained in many styles, forms and is competent with a wide range of weapons. The downside to his training however is that Zerin primarily focused on quick easy ends to battles and is not much of a marathon fighter.
[Core Powers] [Knowledge: Strong]
[Zerin has developed his core powers to a high level. Years of utilizing the ability to move and clear obstacles along with being able to modify his own bodily functions via the force have left him quite proficient in this area. To this end Zerin is able to wield telekinesis, breath control, force speed and jump to a strong level.]
[Force Concealment] [Knowledge: Weak] (Unknown to family/anyone)
[Force Concealment is a power that Zerin had lusted after for many years, driven by his desire to maintain as low a profile as possible when on a mission he set about trying to discover ways to do this via the force. Upon hearing rumours of a technique whereby you can negate your force signature Zerin set out for information. Many useless "masters" and a few busted up tomes later and Zerin was left quite disappointed. Whilst he could use the ability, it was to a small degree and any competent force user can detect his signature.
The only benefit to this power is that Zerin is able to mask his actual competency, in that even a stronger force-sensitive being usually mistakes him for being much less than he is.]
[Force Lightning] [Knowledge: Weak] (Unknown to family/anyone)
[Force Lightning is an ability that is quite common amongst the Invisible Fist, with all of them on roughly the same playing field when it comes to the ability. Due to the nature of it, and it's power to cause serious harm Zerin has had a hard time discovering anyone in the Galaxy willing to impart such knowledge on him or the other Fist. In fact, the practitioners of this power seem to be locked in this lower level.
With this power Zerin is able to shock people in such a way that they will experience pain and temporary paralysis. It is not able to cause long-lasting effects or extreme levels of pain however, much to Zerin's dismay.]
[Mind Trick] [Knowledge: Weak]
[Through his powers Zerin has gained the ability to alter people's minds somewhat. He acquired this particular talent after running into a pair of smugglers notorious for being able to pass any checkpoint in the galaxy unhindered. After a little persuasion from him the two let slip the secret of their run of success.
With this ability Zerin is able to nudge the opinions and thoughts of non-force sensitive's in a certain direction, along with being able to construct small realistic illusions. These are generally limited to flashes, or fast-moving insects. With force-sensitive targets Zerin is only able to use the distraction element of his power.]
[Farsight] [Knowledge: Medium]
[Zerin uses this ability to detect what an opponent is likely to do next, how his plans are likely to unfold and to cheat when he gambles. This ability was picked up quite early on in his life, honed via constant dabbling in his line of work and brought to the forefront of his powers by the constant use of it in battle and piloting.]
Zerin on a whole is a fairly easygoing person, considering what he spends his time doing. His outlook on life is that as long as his pocket keeps jingling he doesn't have very much to worry about. This coupled with the fact that he is extremely patient is something that he only sees as a huge advantage. For one, he's not like all the other grumblers and whiners who spend their days in Cantinas drowning their sorrows or are constantly seeking excitement in dangerous avenues of life in order to fulfil some deeper lust they have.
He is resentful of his lot in life, particularly the fact that his sisters get to lord it up over him and his brothers. He believes that this is very far from the right way of things and the fact that the Devaronians still heed such silly and outdated concepts is a sore point with him. This resent has led to Zerin separating almost all of his life from his sisters.
To this end Zerin keeps all of his business strictly to himself, the lone snippets that he allows to elude this shield are strictly meant for his sisters. The fact that he serves them as the head of the Invisible Fist allows him to maintain this level of secrecy without too many questions being asked.
Of the Viezan Confederacy, Zerin has very strong views. He disapproves of the way the faction is increasing in size, thinking that their continued existence is purely thanks to the fact that they remained under the radar. He would prefer it that the Confederacy remained a small underground operation rather than drawing in all the risks and hassle that developing into a large force entails.
As a person, he has a great many hobbies. First and foremost is exercise. Zerin is constantly exercising to retain the edge above his opponents. It's a hobby that has become more important to him as he ages, as he finds himself having to develop new ways to stay above all the young upstarts seeking to one-up the Fist Head. Alongside this he enjoys racing in all forms and varieties, any physical sport and the discovery of new and inventive uses of his force powers.
Zerin dislikes, above all else, ignorance. It is the one thing he won't stand for within his group, or even in his own family. Any outward shows usually end with Zerin voicing quite strong opinions, the like of which the targeted individual isn't likely to enjoy very much.
First-born of House Shapani's newest generation Zerin was destined for a life filled with base emotions, with an intelligence below normal and a lust for nothing but pure destruction.
You know, the kind of things any Devaronian female would have you believe their male counterpart was up to in the Galaxy. A belief that Zerin would shatter quite thoroughly (to his own mind at least). From an early age he found himself embroiled in a world full of crime, his family being the puppet masters behind the Viezan Confederacy after all.
Despite this Zerin managed to steer well clear of family business for the early part of his life, up until his teens at any rate. It was a period which he filled with a quest for knowledge, a period in which he discovered his sensitivity to the force and sought to exploit it in everyday use. The discovery of new and inventive ways to use his powers was the thing that made Zerin get out of bed every day. He also harboured a fierce desire to see the Galaxy, as a tourist rather than the beast of destruction the Devaronian expected.
Entering his early teens however Zerin was expected to also enter the world of crime in a bigger way and earn his keep among the Shapani. A male who did not generate income or potential heirs to the Shapani name was not of use after all. To this end Zerin found himself inducted into one of Shapani's most accomplished smuggling parties. Within this party he learned how to play the Galaxy, how to predict movements in the economy and generally how to break the law.
It was a quest in which Zerin began to develop his force powers to altogether more nefarious ends. Subtlety stealth and assassination soon became his specialities, a young impressionable mind thrust into a world where murder was rampant resulted in quite a shocking lack of conscience when it came to the removal of a life.
Building upon this already solid foundation Zerin became enlisted in the Invisible Fist Acolytes, a group infamous among the Viezan for being the breeding and recruitment grounds of the Invisible Fist themselves. Whilst serving as an Acolyte Zerin further expanded upon his abilities, adding to the already impressive list a mastery of various fighting styles and stances that would make him a symbol of fear for all who knew him.
A few years, a few kills and a few pats on the back from his ever-growing in power sisters Zerin landed himself the head position within the Invisible Fist, the Viezan's feared assassin wing. This promotion earned him a lightsaber from the Shapani stores and greater control over the Viezan. It was from this position that Zerin set out to both make a name for himself and also to carve a little piece of the Galaxy where the dominating influence of the matriarchal Shapani wouldn't reach him. With the Coruscant disaster and the growing ambition within his family however he now finds himself torn on just what to do.
