"If you can find a way to laugh about it then it’s okay, or it will be eventually."
Vien’sai’Malloc
Name: Zahra Tarja Shapani
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Species: Devaronian
Affiliation: Viezan Confederacy
Occupation: Princess
Zahra measures short for her race at 1.82 meters. Short brown fur covers her body over similarly brown skin. She tries to keep her fur reasonably clean, having long given up keeping it impeccably clean because of her lifestyle, but this doesn’t mean she’s afraid to mess it up or get it dirty. It’s simply more convenient having it nice and smooth before she runs into one of her sisters.
Two dark circles reside on her forehead where horns would be if she was male. Like all the females of her race she has both molars and prominent canine teeth. Her body, though short, is mostly lean muscle from having built it up using agility over brute strength.
She carries herself a variety of different ways depending on her circumstances, but two show themselves more than others. Most often she appears relaxed with a hint of readiness, as though she’s ready to jump into action at any moment if need be. When like this someone not trained in combat may not even realize she could be a potential threat. Other times she can be found standing up as straight as she can while still looking natural, as though she’s trying to make full use of what height she has. Often this gains her an air of authority that any female devaronian that has position is bound to have, however she makes a point to keep it as low as her pride will allow when around her older sister.
Zahra dresses to please herself, but tries to add in a certain amount of elegance into her clothes to better fit her position. Elegant to her, however, does not necessarily mean the general opinion of elegant. For her it means tight fitting pants and calf height boots that are easy to move in with long vests that reach down just past her hips. The colors of her clothes depend on her moods, and the length of her sleeves change with the temperature. She can usually be found sporting her black utility belt. She has a custom made weapon sling for her vibrostaff that she wears when she steps out of the household.

- Modified Single-bladed Vibrostaff
Zahra’s vibrostaff consists of a three foot long rounded ‘hilt’ where she controls the weapon. Coming from one end is a long metal pole, and from the other a long two and a half foot blade. The vibrogenerator located in the hilt can activate either end, either separately or at the same time. The weapon has also been modified to suit her height.
The weapon doesn’t have a cortosis weave on it, despite all her searching to find one that does, so any sort of light weapon will destroy it.
- A295 Blaster Rifle
The blaster rifle is one of Zahra’s two main weapons, alongside her vibrostaff. She got the weapon through the family business and keeps ammunition for it stored on her utility belt.
- Personal Ship | Solitude
Solitude is Zahra’s V-24 Torrent starfighter. It is equipped with two blaster cannons and two concussion missile launchers. It has room only for the pilot and no other passengers, a feature Zahra made sure of. It is equipped with the most up to date weaponry and systems she could find.
Inside the starship is a small, though comfortable enough bed. Zahra keeps it fully stocked in food and water at all times, purposely arranging everything so it looks like more room is taken than there actually is.
- Lost the Fwit
Zahra wanted nothing to do with the trend of owning a fwit, but because it was more convenient in this case to get one than explain to everyone that they were ugly, vicious creatures she didn’t want to deal with she ended up getting one. Her skills at being a pet owner are sadly lacking however, and she lost the creature multiple times before finally deciding to name it Lost, knowing quite well she wasn’t going to improve anytime soon.
Lost is a male fwit who is a foot tall with light pink skin and black fur. Zahra rarely knows where he is, and he has a habit of showing up in a variety of places, some of which he really shouldn’t be. His temperament is that of being mostly harmless to those he knows, which as this point is most everyone who works or lives in the Shapani household because of his wanderings, to borderline hostile to those he doesn’t. For this reason Zahra bought him a shock collar, although given she’s the only one with the remote to set it off it is only somewhat helpful. She keeps the remote on her utility belt.
- Lightsaber
She has one. Somewhere. She’s pretty sure it’s in her quarters somewhere but it’s been such awhile since she last touched it she couldn’t be sure anyone had actually bothered to steal it. She earned it when she completed her training. As a female Shapani it didn’t make sense that she wouldn’t get one, but to her it didn’t make sense they would give her such an unreliable glowstick. She couldn’t be certain the weapon wouldn’t hurt her instead, but couldn’t very well refuse it. Zahra accepted it instead and only brings it out for special occasions where it looks good to have one. Otherwise it sits in a drawer somewhere should a time ever come where it can be made truly useful.

- Master in Stealth
Between her martial training, avoiding her sisters (something she’ll deny if accused of), and Invisible Fist missions Zahra has become quite adept at moving around quietly and unseen. It has become something she prides herself on and grows frustrated when she encounters people who are capable of sneaking up on her or find her before she can do so when she tries. It has come to the point where she always steps quietly without thinking about it, and thus sometimes finds herself sneaking up on people unintentionally.
- Weapons Training
Zahra was trained in styles and weapons that dealt in speed and accuracy over brute strength. Over time she has merged the different fighting styles she learned to suit herself, drawing from what she found useful and forgot the bits and pieces of what she did not. For this reason she is a very experimental and adaptive fighter and uses whatever is convenient or helpful to her with no concern as to whether or not she’s fighting sportsmanly. She is also a great shot with a gone, but should aim fail her she can always just mass fire.
- Pilot
She is a decent pilot of various different types of starships, but she knows her own strengths and weakness and prefers to let more experienced pilots flights if its an option. It is not advised to let her fly larger vessels.

[Revitalize] [Knowledge: Strong]
[Because of how hard Zahra pushed herself growing up to first equal and then pass many of the men she came into contact with, she began learning this skill to push herself further and to cover up how hard she even had to work. She later came to further develop it as she began using it on other people, such as while on Invisible Fist missions. Given the convenience of the skill, eventually she just decided to work it up as far as she could and has achieved a high level in it.
With it she can revitalize those who fall unconscious. She can revitalize the wounded, but if their wounds are too bad it doesn’t work nearly as well. It outright fails on wounds that are near fatal or worse.]
[Force Healing] [Knowledge: Medium]
[Due to her skill in Force Revitalize Zahra decided to take it a step further and work on her Force Healing. Revitalize didn’t get rid of the wounds, and she knew that even if they couldn’t feel them they were still there. To better protect those she used it on she decided to take up Healing. She works on it whenever given the opportunity, and occasionally seeks out places where she knows there are injured to practice.
She can heal minor wounds and fevers completely, along with many medium wounds. However, she can’t heal deeper wounds fully and internal wounds are out of her reach.]
[Force Sense] [Knowledge: Medium]
[Through her various missions with the Invisible Fist and her habit of going out to explore, she has developed her ability to sense impending danger and predict what an opponent will do next. To a lesser extend she can sense physical feelings, such as pain and where it’s coming from, though this requires direct contact. In a different direction, her skills do not extend towards empathy, and even when she outright tries has difficulty feeling even dominate emotions.]
[Tutaminis] [Knowledge: Weak]
[Strive as she might to improve her skills in absorbing energy, she finds it difficult when her only real form of practice is either getting herself shot at or attacked by another Force user. While not exactly uncommon, she finds herself more concerned with survival than practice when that sort of thing happens. This does not stop her from seeking out those more talented in the ability when she can and ‘asking’ them to teach her.
She is not entirely sure how far this skill extends at the moment, rarely getting the chance to outright test it in any comfortable manner, but her current abilities extend to Force protection, blocking weak forms of lasers and blasters or some Force attacks from those weaker in the Force than herself.]
[Force Weapon] [Knowledge:Weak]
[Many a weapon has been destroyed in her quest to master this ability, and many more to come. She can rarely even block blasters, so a lightsaber is out of the question. None of this stops her from trying to further develop this talent, but it will be awhile before she uses her vibrostaff. Currently she can block weak forms of lasers and blasters, and occasionally ones just above those.]
[Core Powers] [Knowledge: Medium]
[While quite talented at Force speed and jump, her abilities in telekinesis completely fail. When she was younger she tried to fix this, but eventually came to ignore this unfortunate fact and work on other, more promising, aspects of her core powers instead.]

Between her skills in stealth and combat, discovering that she can use the Force, and being born a female devaronian with the Shapani name, Zahra is more than a little confident in herself. She takes care not to let this go to her head in important situations, hating the idea of underestimating her enemy and paying the price of it. If anything she is more likely to overestimate her opponents and find herself disappointed. She would prefer that her enemy is as capable as she is because it would make everything all the more exciting.
Zahra has surrounded herself in intrigue, finding herself quite good at it. Filling her time with family plots helps settle the adventurous streak in her, but not as much as joining the Invisible Fist on missions whenever she got the chance did. She sees these as ways to fill up her time with excitement while helping out the Viezan Confederacy. Responsibilities that can eventually end are fine with her, it’s the ones that appear to have no end that she dreads. It was expected growing up in the Shapani that she couldn’t avoid them all together, so she is capable of dealing with them maturely and even seriously. While she would never consider escaping from those she has, she has decided it was okay to escape from many that could eventually fall on her. Zahra happily stepped down from any claim she had on the Shapani throne should something happen to her older sister. (Another reason was for her own safety. Her older sister really did worry her sometimes.)
It was the mix of her dislikes of being in one place for too long and unending responsibility that has made her come to outright refuse any opening for real companionship. To her a partner is someone she can have fun with for awhile with no expectations. It is something that will eventually end, and that’s fine with her. This doesn’t mean she’s against love; it’s just not an idea that she has ever figured would happen to her. However, while she retains this frame of mind it doesn’t stop her from going out and flirting with whomever she pleases, even her own brothers. Especially her brothers. She finds it highly amusing, and thus an excellent use of her time, though she would be very surprised to learn if one of her victims ever took her seriously.
To deal with growing up between two very different lifestyles, one of that of a common female devaronian and one of fighting, Zahra developed a very wide and questionable sense of humor. At some point she decided that the best thing she could do for herself was be able to laugh at both lifestyles and everything else that came her way. Because of this she finds many things humorous that should not. This can take a very bawdy turn when she drinks too much.
Despite the way she often acts, her life is not all dedicated to her own amusement. Zahra is capable of being serious when it’s necessary (although she finds ‘necessary’ comes less than other people think it should). She even has an occasional temper that can flare up, especially when someone interrupts her while she’s especially focused on something.
While she may go out of her way to avoid her two sisters unless they have actual
important things to talk about, she is very loyal to the Shapani family and the Viezan Confederacy. Oddly enough, she has even developed some loyalty to her brothers. This only borders on her awareness, and what she is coming to realize worries her greatly. Perhaps it was inevitable she might find herself seeing men approaching equal grounds with her, a female, because of how much time she spends with them, but this doesn’t make it any easier. She often forgets to act above them, and when it does occur to her that they’re starting to look like people she often switches to her “I am female and better than you” mode. Men
are only breeding stock and speed bumps in battle, or so she often reminds herself.
When Zahra was young everything seemed normal. She was above almost everyone, especially them almost-people like males she sometimes saw. She was growing up with the proper frame of mind and would become just like most timid female devaronians.
Then it occurred to her sometime along this path that it was
boring.
She was capable of making it so much more interesting. There were things she could learn, could do, that would make it so. She was capable of using the Force. Were these things that encouraged inactive ways to live? It had always struck her as strange that the men, those below them, should lead so much more exciting lives. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? This question was lost somewhere as she grew older and simply accepted it, but her desire to lead a thrilling life did not. She got herself involved with the training the Invisible Fist offered while she was also doing her Force training. She wanted to learn to fight, to use weapons, and she often forced herself often to the point of exhaustion trying to, oddly enough, equal
the guys. (She never realized the irony of this. The way she saw it, she was living life the way she wanted, and she should because she was female. Never mind that the lifestyle of her choosing was awfully masculine.)
Zahra certainly met women who were in the Invisible Fist, but it was easier to match them so she focused on the men, who were more difficult to put herself against. If she wanted to better herself she had to aim to better those highest above her.
Her Force powers developed in ways that encouraged her to push herself. As she got better at Force Revitalize she pushed harder, only to have it often come back to haunt her later when her body would start demanding rest by collapsing anyway, despite however refreshed she felt. Eventually she learned how far she could go and how much she could use the Force. As she began to understand the difference between covering up problems in the body and actually healing them, she decided to learn the later, also. There were also other things to learn, both of the Force and for her mind and for her body. She strived for it all.
Zahra’s first Invisible Fist mission began the direction the rest of her life would take her. After the first there was a second and then a third. She would give up her claim on the throne so that there could always be more. Along with the missions there were family plots to help and become involved in. If there was still time she would explore Abregado-Rae, which, as she got older, would turn into exploring other planets. It was only one of the reasons she got her own personal ship. As it turned out, personal ships were excellent hiding spots because even when it appeared you would be found there was an escape route if needed.
Her life progressed this way: plots, missions, exploring, and further training. There was always training to be had, she figured. If she was too bored with one sort of training she was sure, with her gender and standing to back her, she could find another. If she wasn’t busy she was bored, and… inconvenient things tended to happen when Zahra was bored.
