Aras has traits from both his parents. He has the coppery colored skin from his Kiffar father, along with a strong jaw and a tall height of 6’1”. From his Zeltron mother he has bright blue eyes and choppy deep red hair, though his is darker than hers was to the point that no one would consider it bright. He makes a point to keeping his hair cut mostly short. Because of his habit of running his hand through it, though, it’s usually somewhat messy, but he believes it looks better that way, anyway.

This combination of traits, along with the fact that he does not have the Qukuuf facial tattoos of the Kiffar, he can pass as fully human. He even tells anyone who actually asks that that’s exactly what he is. He has no desire to have the view of Zeltrons placed on him, nor having to deal with either people calling him a liar or asking about his lack of facial tattoos that would come from telling them he’s half Kiffar.

Aras has plenty of muscle, but more in a lean, toned way rather than being bulky. He doesn’t need bulky muscle to appear dangerous or impressive, and has a subtle confidence about him that he doesn’t feel the need to show off or flaunt.

For his clothes he prefers that they are all fitted, easy to move in clothing that wouldn’t be a hassle or problem on his missions. The color of his clothing ranges between different dark and lighter colors, but none of it would be considered bright. Though for work he dresses in whatever is practical or necessary.

  • Retractable Double-Bladed Vibrosword
Really desiring nothing beyond good company and food, Aras saved most of his money until he could afford this pricey weapon. The vibroweapon has a long handle with equally long blades on each side of it. Both blades are retractable, so he can have both blades out, one, or none. This makes the weapon easy to carry or hide, as is necessary in his line of work. He doesn’t use both blades at once unless he finds it necessary, such as in the case of multiple opponents.

  • Modified DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol
Aras owns this blaster, and has had it modified to practice long range shots, but it’s more of a backup weapon than anything. The weapon has a capacity of 25 shots. The main modification to the blaster has been the addition of an accuracy scope so that the weapon can theoretically shoot much further than the original 50-75 meters.

  • Thieving Abilities
He is very good at pick-pocketing and cutting purses, and various other things that hang from belts, without getting caught. He has also become talented at breaking and entering, a talent enhanced upon with his Invisible Fist training, and this has led him to have a basic understanding in picking locks. He has a good eye for scouting out buildings, various dangers, and targets.

  • Deception
If there was one thing Aras was destined to be, it was a liar. Aras lies without having to think about it, telling lies as he would tell truth. He is as comfortable with one as he is the other. He also has a firm control over his body language, expressions, and tones from a life of befriending everyone while trusting no one. He also has decent control over his emotions, and can usually check them if unwanted emotions start creeping up on him. His own knowledge of himself has led him to be very perceptive of others.

  • Excellent Driver
Aras has spent most his life behind some sort of wheel, from speeders to pod racers. He knows how to maneuver them at breakneck speeds and has a wide knowledge of various different vehicles. This knowledge does not extend to being a pilot, however. While he loves the thrill that comes from podracing, he finds piloting starships too safe, and thus too boring. He is a firm believer in auto-pilot.

  • Combat
The Invisible Fist trained Aras, though he took mostly to the melee side of it in the form of swords, double-bladed swords, and hand-to-hand. To this degree he’s excellent. With guns he at least knows to point the round end at his targets and shoot with acceptable accuracy, but he is no sniper. (Though he is working on this, because he enjoys the idea of being a sniper, or at least being capable of it.) It is not be safe to hand Aras throwing weapons.

    [Core Powers] [Knowledge: Strong]
[His strongest aspect of his Core Powers is his Force Speed, being able to use it to spectacular levels. He is still strong in Force Jump and telekinesis, though he is not capable of anything too fancy with his telekinesis. He can also use breath control, though he rarely finds use for it so it not as strong as it could be if he did.]

    [Psychometry] [Knowledge: Strong]
[Aras has developed his psychometry so that he is not limited to only personal objects, making him capable of using it on objects that were only used once or by several people. It was not always certain, but he’s capable of it. He can, and does, also use it on corpses when he finds need to, and can use it to rib memories from the brain of living beings.

Despite his strengths in it, he cannot use it too often without breaks. If he does he begins confusing the information and emotions he learn from them with each other and his own, and it becomes more difficult each time to stop using the power and get out of the experience.]

    [Force Drain] [Knowledge: Medium]
[Aras is trained to use Force Drain to drain both life essence and the Force from other people. The effects can only go to him, no one else, and when he steals the life essence he can use it to heal himself. He can only use this on one person at a time, though he is working on more at the moment, and cannot make any sort of field with it. He can use it without directly touching his victim, but must stay within reasonable distance.]

    [Force Lightning] [Knowledge: Weak]
[Like many of the Invisible Fist, Aras was taught to use Force Lightning. He can use this ability to shock people into a temporary paralysis, not long-lasting but long enough for his purposes. While he cannot use it to cause extreme levels of pain, he can certainly still make it hurt.]

    [Mind Trick] [Knowledge: Weak]
[He has a vague understanding of how to use Force persuasion, fear, and masquerade, though he is not very good at it and can only use them on weak minded individuals.]

Aras is a charmer. He’ll befriend, or at least try to, everyone he meets, even if he doesn’t particularly like them. He has no problem helping them or doing favors for them, and will even go out of his way to do so. He likes being friendly and helpful, and has a large air of openness about him.

The catch? While he seems open with everyone, is ready to talk to anyone, he is actually very secretive and evasive. Friendship isn’t something he actually desires. What he wants out of these people are their connections, his own social amusement, and when he does favors for them it means they owe him. He is the sort of person you think is your best friend until he has reason to screw you over, then he will do so easily and without conscious.

When his charm is directed at women it has landed him in many a woman’s bed, some of whom would welcome him back. He has a smooth nature about him, and because of it he won’t be caught using corny pickup lines or the like. While he enjoys women, he is not obsessed and does not only look at woman for that purpose.

He is a master of lies and consistent with them. The only people that he willingly allow to see past his lies are those he must, and he doesn’t really let them into his head. He doesn’t like it when people see what he doesn’t purposely present, which leads him to hating showing weakness or any problems he may have. His temper is very slow, and when it does come out its not explosive but very cold.

Aras has no real sympathy for anyone, not even for himself. Though he shows a serious lack of concern for himself he has a strong desire to live and keep going. This does not stop him from behaving recklessly or taking on jobs no one else wants to accept. He lives to enjoy himself. Mere danger is not thrilling to him; he needs a high risk of death for that. He does not see himself as a part of any cultural society, and because of this behaves as though the standard morals or rules do not apply to him. Aras does not pin them as anything he needs to follow, but he knows them and uses them to make people believe he is exactly the sort of friend they need.

Bets, dares, and competitions are all things he enjoys, and for the most part he is good natured about losing. As he sees it, he too sure about himself to worry or get mad over losing, so long as he’s not losing something that’s actually important. He loves physical activity and makes a point to often work out. This doesn’t mean intellectual pursuits are beyond him, either. Having grown up an orphan and poor, Aras appreciates knowledge and learning, so it wouldn’t be such a bizarre sight to catch him reading or even studying.

Aras’ conception was an accident. His father was traveling between worlds as part of a small group of Kiffar when on Nubia he met a Zeltron and fell in love with her. He later left to continue the journey with his group, leaving her behind after others in his group convinced him she must have manipulated him to gain his affections. He was long gone by the time she realized she was pregnant.

Furious and bitter at him for leaving and his reason for doing so, when Aras was born she refused to put the Kiffar tattoos on him. She didn’t know enough of their culture to put them on, anyway, she reasoned. However her son looked despairingly human without the tattoos, having inherited his father’s skin color. She grew to resent him and ended up giving him to an orphanage. She still visited every so often, at least until she grew sick. Without the money to pay for the healing she needed, she would soon pass away.

Aras quickly fell in with the more shady kids at the orphanage, and through them met shady kids outside it. When he was seven his father returned to Nubia, and while there ended up asking around for his mother. He learned not only about her death, but also about their son. He went to the orphanage and found him. Whereas his mother saw too much Kiffar in him, he saw too much Zeltron, but because of a sense of responsibility he decided to adopt him.

Literally adopt him. While Aras was told that he was his father, his father stressed that he must tell everyone he was adopted. He didn’t want anyone know he had spawned a hybrid son, and Aras sensed that he was ashamed of him. Later, upon hearing his father arguing with the others he had come with, they not wanting him to take some brat with them, even less so because he was some Zeltron hybrid, Aras ran away before they could take him off planet.

Between both his father’s rejection of his being Zeltron, and his mother’s rejection of his being Kiffar, added on top of the fact that he didn’t have the tattoos to begin with and was often taunted over being a hybrid, Aras would take to telling everyone he met that he was human. With both his parents out of the picture it became an easy lie to maintain and eventually the knowledge of his being a hybrid would fade away among those he spoke to.

He didn’t return back to the orphanage, not only because he might be forced to return to the people who didn’t want him to begin with but also because it was restricting. He returned to the friends he had made outside the orphanage, learning their ways of thievery faster now that he was free. Aras quickly came to realize that while he made friends, when it got down to it, it was every man for himself. They could help teach and learn from each other, but when it got down to it everyone was their own main priority.

Perhaps it was the whole ordeal with his background and parents, but he never let anyone really in and thus never developed a friend that would teach him the world wasn’t as self-concerned as he thought it was. He grew up befriend and trying to charm everyone, poor or not, and honestly trusting no one.

At about ten his Kiffar genes made an appearance when he displayed a latent ability in psychometry, though it would be awhile yet before he made the connection. It was something he would on in secret for years to come, not wanting to tell anyone about the talent, though he had to get his hands on personal objects to get any practice on it. In the few occasions where he did succeed and actually got what he considered useful information with it, he would use it as a last resort to black mail people for things when charm and bribes failed, but it would be awhile yet before he was capable of that.

Aras was ten when he was introduced to racing through the form of a bet. He was caught up in the bet between two older kids, on claiming the other was so unskilled that even someone who had never raced before could do it. It ended in them putting Aras on a speeder bike and a crash course in how to drive it. Everyone thought Aras was winning until he lost control of the vehicle and crashed it. They were at least impressed that he both survived and didn’t destroy the bike, at least not completely. Aras only cared because he wanted to get back on it. He was hooked.

Not only was he hooked, he was never content. When he got good on speeder bikes he wanted to ride swoop bikes. When his growing charm couldn’t get him on a bike, he switched from stealing food to money or items for bribes. His efforts eventually found him on a swoop bike, and later actually competing. In his second competition Aras discovered that he was capable of using the Force in other ways when he accidentally used Force Speed to slow down his surroundings and avoid what would have been a spectacular crash.

After his first accident with Force Speed, he practiced it alongside psychometry to make try to use it on will. The only time he was ever purposely able to use it, however, was when he was racing, and only sometimes. Yet it was no doubt due to this that he quickly switched from swoop to podracing. At this time he was doing everything he could to earn money. Stealing, black mail, saved competition earnings. He even began taking up the occasional tracking job with the help of his psychometry, finding objects and, more rarely, people.

The fruit of his labor would see him on his own modified podracer, and later winning professional races. Not all, but enough so that he by no means felt compelled to quit, at least not until he was seventeen when another racer nearly killed himself and Aras both by ramming his racer against Aras’. The result caused both of them to crash. They landed near each other, and Aras had the pleasure of watching life slowly seep out of the other racer. Aras was furious at him for causing the crash, at himself for letting him be drawn into a crash in the first place, and determined as ever to survive. He didn’t want to die. That was his only thought as in an act of desperation used the Force to drain the life out of the other racer and save himself.

At the time of this he was far out on the track, well away from a direct audience, but Aras still had no idea if any cameras would have caught it. Because of this Aras found his own way back to the city. When he found out a camera had recorded it he didn’t bother finding out what the reaction was, he tried to go underground. He had no idea if he was being perused by angry government type figures or not, but he was perused by a very shady sort of people. An assassin in the Viezan Confederacy had seen the spectacle and offered him a chance to get the hell off Nubia for the time being. Intrigued and really not wanting to find out if people were out to arrest him, Aras went with him.

What occurred after that was seven years worth of training in the Invisible Fist in fighting and the Force. He finally perfected his Force Speed, among his other Core Powers, furthered his abilities in Force Drain and psychometry, and learned Force Lightning. He was not only trained to be a talented assassin, but an excellent tracker.

On actual jobs his psychometry took on a darker turn as he perfected it, where he took to stunning his victims with Force Lightning and then proceeded to rip memories from his victims. After this he would kill them with Force Drain, as he was always looking to better himself and gather what information he could on other force powers. Weapons, he decided, were necessary to have but messy. If he didn’t have to use them, why should he?

Through his method of killing people he gain a basic understand of a variety of aspects of Mind Trick that he can somewhat use, but it’s still weak. Other bits and pieces he has collected hint towards other talents, but are, at the moment, useless.

Two years later he’s still with the Invisible Fist as an assassin and tracker, though when he gets the chance still likes to enter podracing competitions, so long as they’re not on Nubia.
