The Dining Saloon The first class Dining Saloon was large enough to seat more than 500 passengers. Only if first class was not fully booked and there was sparing seating were children permitted to eat with their parents in the main Saloon. The floor was of linoleum tile, intricately patterned to resemble a Persian carpet. The room was subdivided into semi-private bays and alcoves to give privacy to those dining.

À la Carte Restaurant The À la Carte Restaurant was located on the Bridge Deck. It was a deluxe restaurant where first class passengers could make reservations and choose from a more varied, expensive menu than in the first class dining hall. It could seat 140 people and was the best of the best, as far as dining in first class went. It was both incredibly prestigious, and incredibly expensive.

The Verandah Cafe The Verandah Cafe, coupled with the Palm Court, were a pair of rooms located aft on the Promenade Deck. They were decorated to resemble the gazebos found on the grounds of large English country homes. They had a very outdoorsy sort of feeling with large windows, sliding doors to open the rooms up to the sea breeze and Trellises lined the walls with silk plants. Passengers could order light meals and things to drink here.
