Communication
All forms of communication are contained in here. Marconi wireless messages, journal entries and letters are stored here. Marconi messages were short, and only affordable by the wealthy. The content of journal entries, though posted “publically”, is only known to the character that owns the journal. And letters took at least a week to get to their location if they were going across the Atlantic.

London Festival
With the arrival of spring, the city of London has decided to put on a day full of festivities. Lower, middle and upper class are all welcome. These events begin around noon and will carry on late into the night - or early into the next morning. But don't forget, with Easter the next morning, priests and pastors alike will expect their congregations alert and ready to learn.

Southampton, England
Southampton is approximately 120km south of London. Those travelling from London are most likely to be taking the train from Waterloo Station to the train station near the docks on the morning of April 10th. The Titanic currently sits at the port, waiting for sailing day.

Queenstown, Ireland
The Titanic is scheduled to arrive at Queenstown sometime in the late morning on Thursday, April 11th 1912, having sailed all night from Cherbourg. Queenstown is to be its third and final stop before heading for New York. Because Queenstown does not have a big enough dock for Titanic, passengers will have to take mail tenders from the docks to the ship waiting nearly a half hour out.

First Class Staterooms
First class staterooms could vary from the ridiculously extravagant (such as the parlour suites) to tiny but tasteful bedrooms. Prices for staterooms varied significantly, each one costing a small fortune. However, regardless of the size or price, these rooms were beautiful and far exceeded expectations – even to those who were completely accustomed to a life of glamour and splendour. Some staterooms had a bathroom attached, but many did not as this was a new and impressive feature in an ocean liner.

Dining Areas
For the first class passengers on board the Titanic there was plenty of variety in their dining choices. They had the Dining Saloon, the À la Carte Restaurant and the Verandah Cafe to choose from. All three options were classy and elegant, each one prized for different reasons. The decor varied significantly between the three.

Entertainment Areas
There were plenty of ways for men and women to entertain themselves in first class. Although it should be noted that the primary activity of the day was general socializing, White Star Line spared no expense in making sure that their passengers would be as comfortable as they could make them. The Gymnasium, Swimming Pool and Reading & Writing Room were just some of the many activities available for the wealthy.

Hallways and Corridors
Lushly carpeted and kept immaculately clean, these halls are the perfect place to meet up with friends and family between meals or on your way to a particular destination. The halls are wide and brightly lit, paneled and cozy. There is plenty of room to linger and chat, else you can simply use them to get from point A to point B.

The Decks
White Star Line disliked the look of lifeboats, which is why there are only 16 lifeboats along the Titanic’s new decks. While not the safest, it does provide plenty of room for a nice stroll while the weather permits. There are deckchairs to be rented for a small fee, and plenty of space to lean against the rails and watch the waves.

Second Class Staterooms
Though nothing in comparison to first class staterooms, the second class rooms are still comfortable, airy and tasteful. They consist of a single bed or double bed and many of them have a pull down bed as well. They have a mirror and a wash basin, and a comfortable chair/lounge seat. None of the second class staterooms have bathrooms in them.

The Dining Room
Unlike the first class passengers, the second class did not have three restaurants to choose from. They simply had their dining hall, but it was a lovely dining hall nevertheless. It could seat over 2000 people at one seating. As there were only almost 700 second class passengers, there were plenty of space. There are huge windows to let in natural light, oak paneled walls, and mahogany furniture. There is a piano in the room to be played during meals.

Entertainment Areas
The second class had about as much in the way of entertainment as the third class. They had a smoking room for the men, a library for the women and a general area, of sorts, near the dining hall. Second class passengers would have spent their afternoons socializing over tea, hanging out in the library writing letters back home or reading, or finding other ways to occupy themselves like a quiet afternoon in their room with a book or their family.

Hallways and Corridors
Though not as opulent as the halls in the first class areas, the second class hallways are carpeted, wide and brightly lit. They are orderly and easy to navigate, and if you get a little off course there are plenty of stewards and stewardesses around to lend a hand and give you directions to wherever you need to go. Second class accommodations on the Titanic are almost at par with first class accommodations on many lesser ocean liners.

Third Class Staterooms
Staterooms in third class are small and cramped; bunks line either wall and the space between them is hardly wide enough to fit a suitcase. Staterooms have a wash basin and space under the bottom bunks for luggage. It isn’t unheard of that absolute strangers share a room. However, despite their lack of open space, these rooms are still far above what a steerage passenger could expect on any other ship.

The Dining Room
Unlike in the other classes, the Third Class passengers did not have different dining rooms to choose from. Their dining hall is quite large, and partitioned into two sections with a big dividing wall down the middle. Third class passengers have it lucky – on most ships steerage is obligated to bring their own food. On the Titanic, not only are they fed, but they’re served like they might be in a middle class restaurant with servers to wait on them.

The Entertainment Areas
As far as entertainment goes in third class, there aren’t many options. There is a smoking room for men (totally off-limits to the women) and there is also a general area for those who are interested. Though they have less structured entertainment than the first class passengers, they’re still not without anything to do. Third class passengers just have to get a little more creative when figuring out how to spend their days.

The Decks
Crowded and oftentimes messy, the third class decks aren’t like the pristine decks that the first class passengers have access to. The dogs belonging to first class passengers are brought onto the third class decks for walks which often results in something of a mess. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is generally cheery and rather boisterous.

Hallways and Corridors
Crowded and definite maze, the third class corridors are not the lovely, orderly halls and corridors of the first and second class. Because there are so many people travelling third class, and because so few of them speak English, it is not uncommon to see a rather puzzled looking traveller with translation books standing, trying to interpret a sign. Try not to get lost, because it might take you quite some time to find your way back.

Crew Staterooms
Though still by far better than the staterooms given to crew members on other ocean liners, the crew on the Titanic weren’t living in the luxury that the passengers were. Crew staterooms were about the same as travelling third class – several people to a room, small, not a lot of storage. Still, crew are given three meals a day, a uniform, and are treated well. Certainly nothing to complain about.
