Chelsea had ended up having no afternoon classes on Wednesdays this quarter and decided, that she would take this time to pick up Danny earlier then normally she would and walk back to campus. She had taken a taxi instead of walking, so she carried him awkwardly threw the gardens in his car seat wishing he was still tiny, it was as if now you couldn't even tell he was a premature baby anymore he was getting so big. Sitting down and taking a rest she pulled her phone out. She had managed to learn the basics of the new thing and decided she was never changing her phone again because it became to complicated.

She dialed brendon's number waiting for him to pick up. It rang and finally went to voicemail. She remembered him telling her he had a free period right now, and it was kind of annoying being ignored, she just wanted to tell him that she had picked up Danny so that he didn't go do it later. "Of course, he is probably off with his perfect girlfriend, who is being snobby, and talking down about everyone around her, while he just looks at her while she is perfect," Chelsea said with annoyance dripping from every word as she pulled the blanket up and around Danny tucking it in. It was cold, and he was sleeping, so she made sure he stayed warm because she wasn't ready to pick him back up yet and go home. She needed to rest a little longer.

Alex, being a lazy schmuck in his free time, was overjoyed to have a free period that Wednesday. He exited his Chemistry class, prepared to make the most of his free time, perhaps sidling up to a lovely cheerleader (or perhaps he should give her her space after she threw her soda in his face) or reading a comic book and attaining more philosophical knowledge about the world around him. He settled on buying himself a cup of hot cocoa from one of the school's coffee carts before making this decision. Rather than opting for either of his options (Alex Night was a man of contrary nature, spontaneity was only one of the many traits he possessed to make the ladies swoon), instead not taking refuge from the cold anywhere and beginning to walk around. He couldn't say he had never explored the campus. In fact, he probably knew the place like the back of his hand by now. It didn't stop his intense curiosity with everything and everyone. He liked to observe his everchanging environment.

Soon finding himself in the garden, Alex saw a familiar face. While he was always keen to make new friends, he wasn't about to turn away from one, however annoying she could be on a regular basis. Chelsea was on the phone though, so he decided to sneak up on her. Perhaps he could mess with her AND whoever she was talking to. He snickered to himself deviously. Alex Night was obviously an evil mastermind extraordinaire. He was just about to jump her from behind (in a completely non-violent, but not all to innocent manner) when she put down her phone. He pouted in a manner suiting his character before she started ranting to herself. Upon which his face lighted up with glee.

Alex, being the sick and misguided little boy he was, started giggling as she went on, completely ignoring the fact he was right behind her. When he finally stopped, as there was a certain hilarity to Chelsea's ranting that made him want to either shake his head in disapproval or laugh his ass off (the latter of which he'd obviously chosen), he took a sip of his hot chocolate before stating, "Now, I wouldn't say she's perfect." Completely ignoring giving Chelsea a greeting, he bent over the carseat by her and waved to the little boy, "Hi there, Danny," he cooed - that being uncharacteristic for him. Straightening up, he sat down at the bench and crossed one leg over the other before continuing on, "Though, I think the more interesting point here is, I was right." He laughed again, greatly amused. "Chelsea has a problem with ickle Natasha."

Chelsea heard someone giggling like a girl behind her and turned around to not be surprised to find the giggle came from Alex, though what he was giggling about, she had no idea. “He is sleeping, you wake him up and you can babysit,” Chelsea said seriously. It wasn’t often Danny would go down for naps, and when he did, she made them last as long as she could as it was the very few times she got to herself. Chelsea rolled her eyes at him and took his cup from him without even asking, whatever it is would be warmer than her just sitting here. She took a drink expecting coffee and got hot cocoa instead. “Honestly, why don’t you just drink coffee like a normal 19 year old,” She asked simply handing him back his cup.

“Besides, I don’t have a problem with Natasha at all, so you are wrong,” She said tugging at her scarf. Sure Natasha wasn’t someone Chelsea would normally get along with, they seemed to run in completely opposite circles. Chelsea had no reason to dislike her, she just, didn’t have any reason to be buddy buddy friends with her. “What I do have a problem with though, is being ignored by my best friend whenever he is with her,” Chelsea added. It was one thing not getting to see him as much as she used to, but when he ignored her calls just because he was ‘busy’ that was something completely different and she wasn’t pleased.

Alex shrugged. He didn't have a problem babysitting Danny. Chelsea might. "Famous last words," he tsked at her. He let her take his cocoa cup, not averse to sharing, especially since he needed to have some sort of leverage on Chelsea if he were to keep up his all too enjoyable antagonizing of her. It was for her own good, Brendon's too. "Because coffee is a monstrous creation of American kind," he said coolly, taking his cup back from her. He liked coffee, really. But cocoa was heavenly. "Aren't you a girl?" he asked her snappily. "Don't you like chocolate?" He sure did. Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate on strawberries. Lauren. Oh. That sounds good. Wait, no. What. That sounds disgusting, he thought, his train of though leading from one place to another. The small reminder of what's-her-face Strawberry Shortcake was not a welcome one. Never thinking of that again. Ever. Ever. Arghhh. Through this entire thought process, Alex's face was contorting in disgust. He shuddered.

Turning his attention back to Chelsea, he barely caught what she said before snorting. "Right. Right. I believe you. You don't have a problem with Natasha. You have a problem with the fact your dreamboat is dating her." It had always been pretty obvious to Alex, after seeing Chelsea and Brendon having fun together, that the two were destined to be. It was a little hard to see it, of course, when she was pregnant, but after Danny was had and Brendon adored him too, it was easy to see the two of them blossoming into a sweet, sweet love. Which is why Alex couldn't believe Brendon was dating Natasha. Granted, she was hot. She was really hot. He would tap that. But he'd expected better from his roommate who was supposely more mature. I beg to differ! "What you have a problem with is that you're in love with your best friend as he's off canoodling and satisfying his teenage boy needs," he told Chelsea wisely.

“Actually I’m lactose intolerant, so hopefully I won’t get sick from your chocolate,” she said simply. Just a drink wouldn’t make her sick, but it was always fun to mess with Alex. She watched as his face twisted into one of disgust, was her disliking chocolate really that bad? “Uhm, Alex, you alright there,” she asked momentarily before poking him and watching him turn his attention back to her. That was weird. Chelsea rolled her eyes. “You’re ridiculous,” She said simply. Why did everyone she met insist that there was something between here and Brendon. That was ridiculous in itself, they were just friends, was it really that insane for a guy and a girl to be friends anymore? “You’re disgusting Alex,” Chelsea said scrunching up her nose. “I don’t want to hear about Brendon’s teenage boy needs or who he decides to fulfill them with thank you very much,” she said looking down to check and make sure that Danny was still asleep. She shouldn’t be out here much longer, honestly she didn’t need her son getting sick because she was socializing.

“And, I am no more in love with Brendon than I am with you,” She added sternly. Chelsea did love spending time with Brendon, and he was her best friend, and sometimes he felt like the only person who understood her in any way, and he cared a lot about Danny and her both, though that didn’t mean she was in love with him. He had just grown to be a fixed person in her life and it was like her grandmother said, it would be selfish of her to keep him from doing what he wanted, and if that meant dating someone who clearly was not meant for him, not that she knew who was meant for him, that is what she was going to do. “Why does everyone insist that I do, ugh,” Chelsea added slightly annoyed with it. It was funny when it was a joke because she spent a lot of time with him, or even when it was strangers that didn’t know, but now it was just getting downright annoying.

Looking a little aghast, Alex coughed, into his arm, a little ashamed, before patting Chelsea on the shoulder. "You won't get sick from a little bit, right? You don't have medication or anything, do you?" he fussed, not sure what was implied by lactose intolerant. Is she going to start throwing up? Exploding? Turning purple? Ooh, purple ... "I'm fine," he coughed, flinching at her touch, still banishing the hugely disturbing thoughts from his mind. He was a pervert, but he wasn't that sick. "Just, um ... thought I saw a bug." Smooth, you dummy, he told himself. It was a better pretense than the truth, though. Sitting down on the bench, he rolled his eyes. "You're ridiculous," he countered childishly, sticking his tongue out at her. "Might be disgusting, but it's true. You don't want to hear it 'cause it bothers you, 'cause you care about it. And honestly, Chelsea, what other reason would you have for being so bothered hearing about Brendon's love life with naughty Natasha. " Upon hearing himself, even he himself spluttered a little bit with the absurdity of the pseudonym.

"Chelsea, honestly, I'm flattered, but I've got a pretty fit cheerleader jonesing to go exclusive with me and I'm thinking I should take her up on her offer," he said, stretching his legs out before him. That was a complete exaggeration, perhaps even a lie, of his relationship with the girl, but Chelsea didn't need to know that. "So I think you should give up on me and go for ol' Brendon, since, y'know, he likes you too. Just hasn't said it yet." Brendon and Chelsea were both incredibly clueless in Alex's opinion. They'd clicked right from the start and had failed to ever acknowledge the possibility. Isn't that what girls and guys do, he wondered. They click, they fall, they get together. The two of them had seemed to fail to get the memo on the third part. "Mostly because everyone else possesses enough love in their hearts to see the love blossoming between you lot," Alex nodded seriously. "Too bad the two of you can't see it, makes the rest of our lives harder, really." Shrugging, he took another drink. Could really use some chips now.

“A bug,” Chelsea asked looking around. It was too for bugs for one thing, for second, there wasn’t a bug, and thirdly, why was Alex making that face at a bug. “Kill it,” she said shrugging as if killing a bug was not a problem in the world. “Or, I understand that some things just shouldn’t be talked about in public. Clearly I know what goes on in relationships behind closed doors,” Chelsea said simply looking down at Danny momentarily before looking back up at Alex. Naughty Natasha how does he survive without getting slapped every free moment he has. “Has it ever occurred to you, that I just really might not care,” She said simply. She shouldn’t care, and she had never thought about it enough to want to care, nor did she have any plans to dwell on it now that Alex had put the thought into her mind. Chelsea gave him a very disapproving look at how he referred to Natasha before rolling her eyes.

Chelsea had a very annoyed feeling creeping up on her for a moment while he took what she had said so far out of context, it didn’t even seem like the same conversation any longer. “You have finally lost it Alex,” Chelsea said. Even trying to picture what it would by like if her and Brendon were ever together, and she could never see it. It wasn’t so much in a way that they didn’t get along, or that they weren’t compatible, but Chelsea never viewed herself as being good enough, especially after seeing how happy he was with Natasha currently. She would near be as good as her, never good enough for him, and she had a baby, though Brendon clearly loved Danny, it wasn’t right. “I’m sorry to be such an inconvenience to you then Alex,” Chelsea said sarcastically.

"It's gone now," Alex shrugged. He would have pwned the shit out of that bug if it actually existed, of course. He was a perfectly confrontational being. That was why he would just never address the very strange images that sometimes came to mind and continue to chase after the skirts of cheerleaders. "Doubtful. This is perfectly fine to discuss in public," he rolled his eyes. "You just don't think so because it bloody disturbs you so much." As Chelsea had said, she knew what went on behind closed doors, so Alex saw no reason for her to be uptight about discussing it. "If you really didn't care, you wouldn't care. You obviously do if you're getting in such a heat 'cause of it."

It was hard to see a romance between two best friends who refused to see it themselves. Alex vowed that he would never allow himself to be the same sort of frustrating person. Therefore, he would just never fall in love for one of his friends. It was a simple enough solution. "Nay," the boy shook his head. "I lost it a long time ago when the visions started coming. The visions of the future. Do you want to know what I see in the future, Chelsea?" he asked, voice low and creepy, eyebrow raised precariously. It occurred to Alex that he should have gone into acting. That would have been great fun. I'd always play the omniscient villain, of course, he told himself.

"Oh it's fine," he chuckled good naturedly, ignoring her sarcastic tone of voice. "I'm sure that some day it'll happen and I'll be right there saying 'I told you so' and you will love me for it." Alex may have been a cocky bastard, but he knew he was a cocky bastard with a cause. That cause was to make sure that each of his friends, the damned ones who weaseled their way into his heart, as happy as they could possibly be. However, his confidence, which was often misguided, often led to him insisting some things were true. And he was sure this thing was true.

[OOC: I don't know what happened to this post. It just ran away and did queer things. sorry.]

“Alex, not everyone’s morals are so conflicted they feel its okay to discuss their sex lives,” She said eyeing him for a moment. “Or lack thereof one” She said rolling her eyes. So, maybe it bothered Chelsea a bit, but that could be the fact it was hard to look someone in the eye who sleeps on your couch 5 days a week if you know all the gory details of what they are doing when not on that couch. It didn’t bother her, it was just, awkward. “Though if that’s what it takes to get you to think that I don’t care, by all means, keep talking about it,” She said sarcastically. She looked down and checked on Danny for a moment, pulling his blanket back up around him, he need to stop moving so much in his sleep and kicking it off. She listened to Alex while she continued fiddling with her son till she was content with what she thought would keep him warm.

“What do you see in the future,” Chelsea said trying to humor him. She owed him that at least she supposed, even though she saw what was coming. “You know, generally telling people ’I told you so’ is not what anyone wants to hear,” Chelsea said realizing Alex had all the makings of being a huge ass hole, yet, she liked him? At least, he was fun to bicker with if anything. “Honestly, Alex, you are wasting your time. I mean, even if, and I use the term if very loosely, I did like him, he has a girlfriend. He is so in love with Natasha, even if none of us thing that is who he should be with, who are we to be the ones to get in the way of who or even what he wants?”

"You don't know my sex life," Alex sniffed. "It's quite active, thank you very much." Him and his hand a good jolly time together. Of course, Chelsea didn't need to know about the lack of participants in his pleasure, he could let her assume some better result. "As hot as Natasha is, I'll pass. Thinking about it sort of gives me the creeps when I know it's so wrong," he shuddered visibly, both from the cold and the thought of what his roommate did when Alex and Charlie were not there. Common sense dictated a set of things you just never thought about, especially according to bro code. With a dramatic flourish, he presented his case, or rather, his vision, a smirk in place on his face. "I see Danny's stepfather," Alex said quite solemnly. "And he looks exactly like the darker brunette of my roommates." He took the moment to give her a wide and innocent grin.

He rolled his eyes. Perhaps he shouldn't have been so confident in his opinion, but he really didn't think it was prudent to obscure it either. "I know, but I'm not going to cater to what other people like, especially when I am proved right. It's just honesty," he shrugged. He'd been called an ass, but he was proud to know he'd never been called a liar or a cheat. He was a fair man, if not always a considerate one. If he were a more considerate person, after all, he wouldn't be so rude so obscenely towards Natasha. "Like them two will ever go places," he snorted. "I mean that both literally and idiomatically," he clarified. "We're not getting in the way, dearest," Alex said airily. "I'm merely predicting the future and insisting you admit your compliance with such." Yawning, he stretched out and arched his back. "It's rather inevitable. You might as well join us on the winning team here where we're planning your wedding to him."

Chelsea rolled her eyes, even if Alex did happen to have any sex life, she wanted to hear about it just as much as she wanted to hear about Brendons’s. Chelsea could easily be able to see Brendon being the father figure in Danny’s life. Actually, he was the only person she could see being a father figure in his life, but that didn’t give her a right to think that any more then it gave Alex the right to imply that it was going to happen someday. “You should really watch your random little musing,” Chelsea said seriously. “The last thing I need is for your mouth to be the cause of Natasha thinking there is something between me and Brendon, which their clearly isn’t. Plan a wedding that is never going to happen, all you would like, just leave me out of it,” Chelsea said simply. Danny flinched down in his seat below and she realized he was probably getting cold. She sighed and stood up.

“I need to get Danny inside,” She said lifting his seat up and holding on tightly as she tried to juggle her many bags. “You can come along if you want, though I don’t want to hear another thing about your ridiculous ideas of who should and shouldn’t be with who,” She said giving him a stern look. “Or you can run along, and I’ll see you later, I don’t mind either way,” She said simply. The company was nice, even if it was Alex, though she didn’t mind him so much anymore. It was hard to try and get herself to focus when he was going on about something she would rather not thing about though. Truth was, she was starting to think she might feel something for Brendon, but she couldn’t ever go through with these feelings, for far more reasons than Alex would be able to comprehend, even if she did explain.
