Mudface entered the empty desert cave, pushing past the thorns and dry brush. "I found water!" he announced in a cheerful voice. His words echoed in the cavernous hollows. Supporting his statement, dry mud crusted his tabby face, from which green eyes shone. He turned around to face the outside, tail high, wondering where the other cats were and excited to alert them of his discovery.
