Characters are first come, first served. If you want a character, you need to post a bio within three days. Submitting a bio does not guarantee you will get that character but gives you first dibs pending your approval. If someone else has applied for the same character and you are rejected initially, that character could go to the next in line. One of the things we are looking for is what kind of writer you are and what your playing style is like. People that are not strong writers may be denied. Please check out the approved characters to see what is expected and also look at the posted threads to get an idea of what we are looking for. We aren't in school so we don't expect absolutely perfect grammar and spelling, but being able to write in a clear and concise manner is important. Poorly written paragraphs and bad sentence structure make it hard for others to follow your meaning. Please proofread before posting. You want your writing sample to make the best impression possible so please make sure your submission is well-polished. This is what will determine if you get accepted into the game or not.

When you sign up on the board, go ahead and post a message in the pending bio section stating your intentions to play a character so you have laid claim to it. That way someone else doesn't end up taking it before you can get your bio up.

Super-powered characters and/or original characters with super-powers ARE NOW ACCEPTED on a per-instance basis. Tips for getting these approved: STRONG writing samples, your character not overly powered (IE - godlike), and a mature attitude towards the administration of this game.

This allows us to keep things fair for everyone, and also keeps the game interesting. A Smallville game doesn't need the entire Justice League.
