I see your point however this is meant for All players to play together NOT Team Vs Team, Right?
in other words if they dont like what fiester has suggested then they dont have to play smile.gif LoL

Excuse me, but it's better to play with the team. I think many teams will want to meet and compete. Maybe someone nice to play with my friends. There will be a good rivalry and interesting game.. hardrock.gif

it makes no sense, some team create OSP players (for example), other team normal players-Who will win? laugh.gif

Lottery players is the only fair way... This is not a clan match.

Only if it's a real lottery. Otherwise why would someone decided in name of others?

You'll get etc. 10 players and 1 will decide who will play with who, on what grounds?

If you want to fully randomize it, I'll gladly create you a simple php script once all players are known and you can auto generate teams on random.

To start with, I said personally I won't be playing, even before the draft was posted.

Some players from ordinary beach would like to try it, but looks like they still need some time to pull a team together, and get used to the voice comm ts3, for instance.

As to playing: sure thing is no players (as a team) from beach stand a chance against OSP players ofc, but I am not sure whether it would be a good idea to have some teams of 3 OSP as things seem so and smeifinals and finals will be between these teams,,,,but what is the motive behind the cup anyway?

There are winners, and there should be some more advanced players from beach and it is all *fun*. And remember that some good players/shooters (by beach standards, ofc) are willing to play, but there is a communication barrier which throws them at some disadvantage:typing single simple commands like docs going short, or I need you to airstrile that area) against OSP players with voice comm is a major hurdle to them.

Best thing is that Fietser decides what system will bring in more players from beach, and make it public. So far I see that their numbers are really very limited, and most players are already from OSP.

they don't have to do that. captains pick the players them selves.

looks like you don't understand what a draft cup is.

No, I undertand what a draft is, and that captains do almost all the work for their teams, starting from drafting the players, choosing the voice comm software, arranging for some practice, planning with his team their overll defence and offense in different scenarios....etc.

I had played one cup before, just to have a fair idea of how it works, and the backrounds of team selection and teamspeak. It is natural that OSP captains will pick OSP players, ftw. That was the point I was trying to say, if you read my post carefully, and Dupolina's, too.

I was just filing you in on how some players from beach think, and accordingly react smile.gif

Rey, for a real fun game, there has to be practice. Usually the captain knows the strong points about his team mates, or gets to know them better during practice. Knowing that, and getting used to their accents in English is a huge part of the fun,, and how good the team can play. For example, if there is an excellent bunny hopper, it is best to give him the docs, while a long-distance shooter covers him. On axis side, where is the best points to guard Docs (no camping, ofc), like if there i a good sniper where he should be if there is sharp shooters on allied team, who should cover the enterance from the trenches ( LT or a Medic with lots of ammo)...etc...

There are alwys choke points. How to defend/get through them...etc. There is so many things, and each scenario can be changed by the captain as is needed..

More: Captains usually know other teams' players, and their strong points....well, I was a stand-by in my team, so I really never had to worry about all this, and I was a better player back then.
