Thanks to deathmask.net we have an alternative master server. Thanks for that!
To access the new master server, you need to use a new WolfMP.exe file.
Rename your original wolfmp.exe and put in the version that matches your game.

1.0
1.1
1.3 (1.0 with punkbuster)
1.4
1.41
1.41b
falx-bully version

Server owners need to set the following lines:

seta sv_master1 "wolfmaster.idsoftware.com"
seta sv_master2 "dpmaster.deathmask.net"

You can also use 'dpmaster.deathmask.net' in a tool like Pathfinder.

Thanks Rich, in fact I already patched it, but wasn't able to test it until now.

I'll see if I can place the full 1.1 update somewhere on my site. wink.gif

I also had 1.33 patched, but ... who would use that? blink.gif

If you have linux versions that would be cool. As I haven't got them and can't test them.

Weird, because this is a replaced one I got from dire, patched and worked for dire.

Your sure it's not a firewall problem. A new exe needs new permissions as well.

Oops Dire...sorry to hear that. So I said a long time ago that experimentation, code, changed exe files and such stuff is for advanced players/coders/programmers.....not noobs who can hardly connect to a server unless they know someone form befpre apocalypse.

Probably a firewall issue. You have Windows 7 with standard firewall?

Suppose you have, go to Control Panel (configuratiescherm), Windows Firewall, click on the program link on the left and see what's wrong.

Here's a link that explains some things.

http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-7/preve...ows-7-firewall/

Also check if you run it as administrator and in XP-sp2 mode.

Try renaming wolfMP.exe to quake3.exe and see if it helps. unsure.gif
