i for one think its a pretty bad reason to start a server to kill sluxx. even if slux is 100% cheater, which it obviously wasnt. why would you wanna destroy another server?

There's a Server called x]Beach.
No dropreload, bunnyjump etc. medics start with 32/32. :)

No, no heat-seaking rockets at all! Actual settings are: everything default only thing which was changed is that if you kill someone he drops a pack.(I am thinking of disabling this.)

Replace and overwrite which file?

It is the altered .exe which you paste in your RtCW-folder and overwrite the old .exe

Nice server, Reflex, and nice to meet you, but I was playing with my USB modem and a very hight ping , and it is expensive.

Some say it is designed for browsing only, so , when I get my primary ISP back, I will explore the server free hand...try both teams, and different classes and see how things work on your server.

But generally speaking?

I always like vanilla stock.

By doing this you can browse through the Serverlist again, no worries nothing will be broken :P

Dl file..copy to directory, extract here, prompt for overwrite as i expected was not seen, and that is it. Back to original exe file and its desktop shortcut

If you didn't get asked if you want overwrite the old binary, you did something wrong.

you can always go back to sluxx. it's a free world. but server of reflex would be a better option imo.

i've just visited your server flex. too bad there's no mountain climbing? are you planing to develop the server or is it the final version? is there a forum for the server where cheaters and all that can be reported?

Mousetrap was an anticheatsoftware which was published by Dutchmeat in 2009-2010 I think.
I'm still too lazy to delete it tbh :D


Well, I am a friend of default settings, I don't know if I'll ever upload this modified map.
And ofcourse there are certain plans to develop this server.
And a Forum is also in development.

Mousetrap is/was an anticheat-tool, the video you've posted, someone created to proof that mousetrap doesn't recognize all cheats.

Those glownig models are for aimbots.

So I went and visited the x]Duel server. Its Valhalla map has cool colors, almost like the ones by OSP. Sir, is this map like the basement map on 1.4, where one spawns plays as LT and it is basically a 1vs1 map? I only saw 2 packs of health, but I need to explore it more. For sometime, Fender was there, he is a cool guy.

Duel server is a good idea, the best way for beginners to trains his skill.

CTF_Multidemo was the map where Raziel used to train his aim, as published by him...hahaha

No more good players on these maps to train noobs or beginners as you call them, Relax :)

For practice I often use fritzbot. Here's an et fritzbot movie which works kinda the same as the rtcw version.

@ Fietser: sure, Fritzbot is damn cool for training, but....

1. It is rarely a fun to play alone offline. This applies to any game.

2. Good players always have their tips, and playing offline can never come close to their tips. Even forums do not come close to a good player's tips...they are experience and effeciency and nothing beats or comes close to that combo.

3. I've had so many tips from good players, and that made me a reasonable noob.. Otherwise I would be a total dumb noob, no matter how long one plays offline. Good players play so many games, and they carry their gaming experience from one game to another and build on it till they become a brain-tank, and they give some very useful tips which if not applicable by noobs, these tips at least make them understand the game better....

Like, take for example, my posts on the forum...what do they tell about me?

Never cared about counters or status, though it would be cool if someday I can be a Golden member...hahaha

But most of the posts say something about a persons real life and aptitude. And skill. And knowledge....That is a big part of the fun of any on-line game.

One can not post indefinitely if he has nothing new to add....

Just play against them and you'll be more stronger, there is no secret.

Play frequently basement or badplace map for skills even if you lose who cares, and playing Trickjump map for training good movements, there are 3 or 4 servers special TJ, start with DZM_Trickjump and Brickjump_final.

You can't progress if you play constantly on beach server.
