ríocht
In the elven lands of Raguinia lies the great kingdom of Ríocht. It is a time of mourning as the beloved king has been found dead in his royal chambers. His wife has taken the throne and the people have embraced her as their sovereign queen. No one questions her story that assassins poisoned her husband; no one but her eldest son, the rightful heir to the throne. He believes his mother, drunk with power, has murdered her husband and betrayed the kingdom to form an alliance with Noxstern, an evil kingdom that controls an army of the dead. Without proof of his mother's plans, the young prince is wary of seeking support to overthrow her, though he believes that it may only be a matter of time before the kingdom is lost to the growing darkness overtaking the land.
The king is dead.
Long live the queen.

Ríocht is a fantasy rpg that takes place in a medieval elven kingdom where magic is feared, though it can be found if you know where to look.

The main plot revolves mostly around the castle and the royal family, but we love and encourage sub-plots!

Canon and original characters are welcome. We have no bans.

We also have an original Bestiary where contributions are encouraged and interactive battles in the forest where you choose the outcome.

For the initial layout and really lovely tables, which I could not have done on my own because tables always want to eat my face: Matti from Caution 2.0.
For the popit menu that I was really, really excited about and still hover over the staff section just to see it working: Original credit to Dynamic Drive, of course, but also to Jenya from Caution 2.0 for ending the search for the code for it.
For the wonderful links within the topic descriptions that I love love love because now everything's so much easier to find: Mer from RPG-D.
For the very easy to navigate code for the sidebar: Brook from RCR.
For the topbar that I thought would be super complicated but turned out being easy, thanks to: Mousie from RPG-D.
For the wondrous tutorial I used to modify the quote section to use random images with links: kismet from RPG-D.
For the amazing award code that we love ever so much: kismet from RPG-D.
For the Advanced Legend that gives us all those pretty colours at the bottom: es of if-productions.com
For the Advanced registration modification that stopped me from having to put up a big banner telling people what format to register in: Nitrogenix of <a href='http://www.ifsz.com' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>http://www.ifsz.com</a>
For the code that gave me the ability to add to the copyright at the bottom of the page so that I didn't have to put a giant chunk of disclaimer in the sidebar: Verminox of iFusion and also to Suck my Castor from Caution 2.0 for ending the search for the code for it.
For the customizable Word Counter v.001 that beautifully counts the words as you type them in the post box <3: Beta who left a credit but no link to find them.
For the customizable stats that make me giggle everytime I see them: Webworldx of iFusion
For the adorable images for our awards: raindropmemory
Anything else that I may have forgotten or just randomly found, I found on Caution 2.0 or RPG-D or Google.
All other images were found on Google and customized either by Finn who has most impressive Google-fu or by Ichabod, who generally has tremendous luck with graphics thanks to Photoshop rather than amazing skills.
For inspiration, virtual hand-holding, encouragement, de-stressing and all around amazingness: mah Finny, who does far more for me and this site than she thinks she does.

Thank you <3
