I have a mild empath ability. Course sadly I can only pick up on one emotion which I find strange.

But the only emotion I can pick up on really well is extreme anger.

Though it does leave me with a bad headach almost like a migrane

I am an empath too... but that makes sense anger is a really strong emotion and therefor easier to pick up on. You should try focusing on random people to see if you can hone your abilities a litte more.

May I suggest that you should sheild yourself. Anger is the worst of emotions, a necessary one, but it is also the hardest to ignore.

Anger affects everyone, and it penetrates your aura, leading to you feeling anger as well.

Cleanse your aura after feeling emotions from other people, otherwise you will end up a mess! Trust me, I have been an empath since childhood and carrying around other people's emotions can magnify your own emotions making you feel like a walking emotional time bomb.

It is not a good idea to try picking up on other people's emotions on a random basis. Learming to sheild is the firs rule of an empath. Do this, and you will learn to cope quite well.

I wouldn't really know how to shield myself from that sort of thing.

I dont really know much about what is going on. I do not intend on picking up peoples emotion on a "Regular basis" It comes and goes. I'm not much of an empath But I do seem to pick up on the negative emotions very easy.

I really wouldn't know how to protect myself from it.

Everybody tends to have their own methods of shielding themselves, and majority of the time these methods reflect who the person is and what they relate with.

A good way I've found to shield myself from others emotions is to imagine myself surrounded by clear water, generally in the form of a waterfall cascading down around me....

Perhaps you could try this Darknight, or alter it too something you feel strongly about.

May I also suggest that you ask if these feelings are not your own they be taken away.. they should go if they are not for you..

When reading I get headaches if I am connecting with an energy that doesnt' vibrate well with me... I have learned not to read for those people

read up on protection and have the intent that others emotions will not come through for you tha twill halp you lots... I teach my children when they are feeling yucky at school to use a golden bubble of peaceful energy to get rid of the things they feel.. this works for them and they are only very young

Hey there sorry for not replying.

Some of those feelings weren't mine. How would I ask them to go away?

I have wondered what would happen if one was around the negative emotions for too long?

Being around too many negative energies can cause you to have health problems. I deal with those outside emotions by identifying them as either mine or not and address it then let it go. Letting them does not allow those other emotions to attatch themselves to you.
