The sun shone brightly from its mountain top perch, a glimmering mass of golden heat between the growing cloud mass. In the low wind, the sun brought about a dance of flickering gems over the surface of the lake, every ripple shining with a white glitter. The dewy grass thick under her heavy black shoes, Lily Evans made her way slowly towards the great body of water, he head bent a little as she watched the grass move as her feet made contact, though with glazed eyes. The school loomed behind her, its many windows reflecting the early morning sun. Lily often found herself here, a book in hand just as she did now, and a mind full of thoughts.
Bright as the morning was, the air was refreshingly cool and crisp, and having opted to be better safe than sorry, Lily had dressed in her favorite boot cut jeans and a thick turtle neck jumper, a pale gray in color, which kept her neck sufficiently warm. Over this, she'd placed a black coat, before matching them with a pair of gray gloves. Perfectly plain, though perfectly fashionable. Perfectly sensible, perfectly Lily Mariah Evans.
A trail of thoughts had made there way through Lily's mind that morning, one of them evoking more interest that the others. James Potter. That boy had found his way into her head more times than she could ever count since the beginning of term. In fact, since there meeting at the beginning of September at Kings Cross, she'd hardly thought of anyone else. He'd explained to her, that he too had been given a little school stature, and was now her partnered head boy. She'd groaned of course, and rolled her eyes, questioning him madly throughout the entire journey. Naturally, being the talkative girl that she was, she'd gotten a little carried away with herself and spilt half her life story to him. A half-stranger that had asked her out almost every term since there fourth year. Perhaps half-stranger was a little strong.
Admittedly, James Potter wasn't half bad. In fact he wasn't at all bad. Sure he needed to comb his hair, but his wind swept hair was cute, in a flippant way. He was handsome, rather bright too, and seemed to take serious interest in her. Even...
NO. No, no, no. She grinned to herself then, and whipped out her dark wand as she remembered a scene only two years ago that had happened under this very tree. A thousand years ago. She swished her wand then, in a fluid movement, before sitting on the summoned blanket. Leaning back against the bark, she pulled out her book. Grin placed firmly on her pretty cheeks, she turned the pages, a page every few seconds, obviously oblivious to the books content, a certain dark haired chaser playing in her mind for the umpteenth time. That James Potter. She'd never understand him...

Juliana had sat boredly in her room for over an hour now, well, not necessarily sitting, more like laying actually. You see, it was quite early in the morning and while most would probably just head out of bed the moment they awoke, Julie had no intention of doing so. Reason why? Well that was simple really. She was just far too lazy to be bothered with getting up and was actually quite comfortable the way she was... or at least that was the case over half an hour before. Now she was just being lazy. Turning on her side and looking towards the window, she caught glimpse of the sun through the yellow curtains, peeking over the mountaintop. Groaning inwardly as its rays of light touched on the walls of her room as well her face, she turned back over and soon, though with a great deal of listlessness, made her way out of the bed and towards her closet.
Opening its door, she took a gander inside and pulled out the first thing in front of her which happened to be a pair of jeans and a long sleeved, v-cut burgandy shirt. Looking to the floor of the closet after placing the selected items on the side of her bed, she picked out a pair of black boots. Shortly after, she headed into the bathroom, taking everything with her. Moments later, she re-emerged fully clothed and looking to her dresser, she picked up a necklace and placed it around her neck, a ring on her left ring finger and a few bangles on her right wrist. Without looking at herself in the mirror as she was confident she looked just fine, she grabbed a small jacket and a pair of gloves and headed out at long last.
Once reaching outside the Hufflepuff common room, she ascended the stairs that led to the main hallways of the castle and eventually towards the outside of the castle. Where was she going? To the lake of course. She figured it was the best place to go since she knew that no one else was around to serve as a source of entertainment and plus it was always so peaceful this time of day... though she supposed it had more to do with the fact that it was so damn early. In any case, she soon made her way to the lake and while her intention was to just sit around and act bored for another half hour or so, maybe even throw a few rocks around and eventually make her way back inside. No big deal really. Her plans were ruined, however, the moment she saw Lily who happened to be one of the few she kept around on a normal basis. A friend, you could call her.
Oh well, she supposed it was for the best, after all she had a better chance of killing a few good hours by conversing rather than sitting around boredly for half the day. With a bit of a shrug, she headed in the redhead's direction, soon coming up beside her as she then spoke, "So daydreaming now are we? And here I thought you were all about school, school, school. It's a nice change, I'll admit, but it really doesn't suit you." She said, while watching the Gryffindor absently flip page after page of her book, obviously paying little mind to it. She was able to tell that just by looking at her face where a rather humorous smile played on her lips. It was actually quite similar to the look Charlotte had when daydreaming in class. Somewhat scary really. Giving a smirk, she looked to the ground where the summoned blanket laid. "Nice blanket, by the way... I'd prefer yellow though." She looked back to her friend. "And I honestly doubt that book your reading is all that interesting. Which begs the question of what's really going on in that head of yours..."
