Today I swam the ocean from Cinnabar to Pallet Town. It was very difficult and cold, but I survived (obviously). I had remembered to grab my wallet, watch, canteen, and journal before leaving. I, after putting everything into my bag, put one of those cool water-proof backpack covers on it. Turns out everything is fine.

I met Professor Oak. He was very kind and gave me a lot of things to get started. Pokeballs, a belt, a pokegear, phonecard, pokedex, and a potion. On top of that, he gave me my pokemon! Just like that! I chose Dratini. I don't have a name for him yet, but I am thinking.

We walked to the shops a bit and bought a sleeping bag, deck of cards, and two potions. I told Dratini my story at the beach, and here we are now. I plan to go eat a quick lunch, grab some extra food for dinner, and head to Viridian City.

Dratini, whom I named Noodles, and I are taking a quick break. We just finished off our food. We are gonna start up soon.

While we were walking, a pidgey fell (literally) from the sky. It had a broken wing, and had fainted. I caught it, and when we get to Viridian, I'll heal and train it. Though, I checked, it's only level 3. And its nature is Timid. Don't exactly know what that means... though I'll find out soon enough.

Well, Noodles is tired. So, I'll put him back in his pokeball. I hope to get there tonight, before it gets to be 10:00.
