[Gaia]

On the northeast section of Floe Island is the only place in this region that does not have a tropical climate- Icefall Cave. Said to be the place where Lorelei found her beloved Lapras many trainers end up heading there to try their luck at capturing one of the wonderfully rare creatures.

Icefall Cave

The only place on all seven islands that does not have a tropical climate Icefall Cave, far off to the west of the small town past a hilly patch of flowery meadow. An old wooden sign is staked outside the entrance cautioning trainers to watch their step seeing as most of the cave floors are covered in a thick layer of slippery ice. Icicles hang from the ceilings made from thousands of year’s worth of water runoff, sometimes reaching all the way to the floor to create interesting formations. One is even said to hold a distinct likeness to the legendary pokemon Regiice!

Tunnels lead off from the main cavern to wind into the deeper portions of the cave, while just a little ways inside the entrance is a beautiful, thundering waterfall. Only pokemon with a high tolerance for the cold can be found here...maybe someone will be lucky enough to take home one of these frosty companions!

Also there is a special event that happens once a year in Icefall cave. On the thirty-first of Kyo in the dead of winter hundreds of Lapras migrate to the cave for their breeding season. Their haunting songs can be heard all night long, crying out in harmony with the noises of the night. If one is looking for one of these amazing creatures, this would most certainly be the time to find them! Be careful though, seeing as the locals are very protective of their Lapras population and will only allow a certain amount to be caught each year!
