Rules and information of PCW

On January 30th, 2008 the rules of Pennsylvania Championship Wrestling were established by the ownership. The rules obtain to any and all fictional characters involved in the efed.

Below are the general rules and information of the PCW that have been revised. If for any reason you do not agree with a majority of the rules below, including the way winners are possibly determined, we advise that you not sign up for the PCW

1) Each handler will have a set limit on the number of characters they will be allowed. As of 1-30-08, the maximum amount of wrestlers allowed is four; non-wrestling characters is one. Under no circumstances will anyone be allowed a fifth wrestler or a second/ additional non-wrestling character.

2) Handlers may use other characters in their promotional bits to build a feud or an alliance. This includes jobbers, who have no set handlers. Handlers may NOT attack a character unless they have the permission.If you do not have the permission, your characters will face the following actions:

1st offense: Warning
2nd offense: Three Show Suspension
3rd offense: Termination.

3) No talent signed on in a wrestling role will be allowed to personally attack members of the announce team, backstage interview team, or owners unless they have permission from the owner of the efed. If you do this without permission, your characters will face the following actions:

1st offense: Warning
2nd offense: One month suspension( 2-3 shows missed: depends on which month it is)
3rd Offense: Termination


4) Active wrestlers may not use the owners in their promotional pieces to make matches dealing with number one contenders spots for themselves due to the owner basing that off attendance and promotion. This is unfair to others who may be in consideration. Any handler who does this following 4-27-08 will be face the following:

1st offense: Warning
2nd Offense: Suspension (Time determined by owner)
3rd Offense: Termination

E NO member of the roster is allowed to openly criticize another member due to their promotional skills. If members of the roster have any questions or concerns they are to direct them to the management.

The owner wishes to also say that all promos are seen equally: there is no one person who promos better than the next as everyone has their own style of promotion. Some people like keeping it simple while others like the long promo approach. We don't penalize anyone for words spelled wrong or the format style of the promo. We're not English teachers but we do ask that an attempt be made for your scheduled opponents to be able to understand it.

If anyone attempts to use the "My promo was better" line, feels they are the alpha male of promoting, or even gets upset about losing a match they will be asked to leave and possibly banned from a return to the e-fed.

The owner also ask you to remember that if you promote yourself around a crowd, remember that PCW Rage (Television show) and PCW Fury (house show) are the only shows we have. If you surround yourself around the fans please note if it was after the show or at another show you may be in.


5) The owner understands that real life happens that may keep you from promoting. If you can not promote or feel your promo may be a bit late (even to your standards) please let the owner know so the match can be postponed if needed or have your character not suffer a squash match.

The owner bases promotional pieces not just for title shots but for booking. Promotion is a key factor in many thing. The following happens when you fail to promo for shows you are booked for:

FIRST SHOW: The owner will let the first one slide, although the match may be changed. Champions could possibly face losing a title but getting a rematch if they fail to promote.

SECOND SHOW: If you fail to promote yourself and match the second time you are booked I will send you a PM AND Email asking if you need a LOA. Champions will drop their title(s).

THIRD SHOW: If there is no response to my email or private message all plans involving your character(s) will be dropped. No promotion, no bookings. Your character(s) will be moved to inactive status for four weeks (Two Shows).

If you manage to promote your characters before the four weeks are up, you will be booked again and moved back to active status. Otherwise your character(s) will be released and possibly reported on a list of characters to avoid.

If you fail to promote if you are booked, you will either lose your match or be replaced with someone who wasn’t booked but promoted themselves.

6) To get a full understanding about who is serious about being in the company and who is just a flake, all debuting characters will be required to promo prior to being booked in their first match. Debuting characters will always face a jobber in their first match. If they fail to promo, they will be removed from the card. They will get booked one more time and if they fail to promote AND/OR respond to any messages from the owner or staff the character(s) will be deleted and they will be reported to EWS members (meaning they should avoid you at all cost)

7) As of 10-31-08 Promotional threads will lock on Wednesdays at 11 pm EST. If the owner extends the deadline, it will be posted in the promotional thread or the owner will email you.


8) Handlers are urged to help carry with storylines they are involved in. If someone else carries the storyline, chances are they will win more matches. You are also asked to find someone to possibly feud with if at all possible.

9) Handlers have 100% Creative Control in the sense they allowed to decide who they would like to work with, their gimmick (but see below) and how to be portrayed. HOWEVER...they are not allowed to determine if they win or lose a match UNLESS they want to help put a feud over or want to put someone else over.

Also, there are only a few types of characters PCW will not allow into the company. Murders, rapist, any type of person with a "criminal" background, killer clowns, and (former) porn stars top the list. Dark and brooding is okay but try to be original.


10) PCW will start out with a television show called Rage that airs bi-weekly. As the company grows house shows, called Fury, will begin. Pay-Per-Views will be every other month or every third month.

When Fury starts, results will be in short result fashion as opposed to full result Rage and pay-per-views. Fury shows will have the entire roster booked.

11) The company will start with a World Title and Tag Team Titles. As the company grows, a third title will be added.

12) As of 1-7-09, new characters must be in the PCW a full two month period before they are considered for a title shot/ opportunity.

13) In case a show falls on a major holiday, the show will be bumped up or put off for awhile. If any of the following holidays fall on a Friday, the shows will be moved: Independence Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve.

Also to be noted, if a show falls around the same time as Thanksgiving the show will be moved

14) If the roster is a good size, bookings will be cycled so no wrestler is making the card more than others. Main events will also be cycled between tag teams, single wrestlers, and the female wrestlers.

The exception to this rule is if there is anyone set in a feud, as they would need to advance it towards the pay-per-view.

15) All shows will start off small and low budget. Shows will be held in Pennsylvania towns at high schools until the company grows, then they will expand to bigger venues in the state. **FURY'S ARE AROUND THE STATE WHILE RAGE COMES FROM THE PCW AREA***

Shows held at a high school or the New Alhambra Arena will not have the use of ramps, flashy entrances, or trons.


16) The owner of the company determines winners and number one contenders based on one or more of the following factors:
Promotion of self and matches/feuds. ( Determination of how the piece was portrayed would be factored in.)
Attendance
Storylines
Feedback from others

The latter only happens if the owner feels everyone is promoting at an equal level. In case of a tie an outside, independent party will be asked to review the promotional pieces.

It is asked nobody vote for themselves when asked who they would like to see as potential contenders.

17) PCW has no divisions in class weights. Especially with a women's division. Women and men both get the same opportunities in the PCW.

If you are a male, have handled all male characters,and never faced a female character before it can happen here. Contact the owner with any questions. BUT...if losing to one of the real-life girls here (Vanessa, Wench, or myself) OR a female character is going to create a problem you may want to join another efed.

18) No member of the writing team will be allowed to write their own matches unless it’s unavoidable.

19) No member of the writing team, outside of Fawn, will be allowed to pick the winners of the matches. Writers will also:

Keep all matches balanced fairly unless otherwise stated by Fawn
Will use only original material. They will NOT use a match from another organization.
Will use the handler’s created wrestler’s move sets.
Will NOT show favorites.

20) Politics WILL NOT be played by the owner of this organization.(Meaning I warn everyone but one person, pick a champion because I talk to them more, have hostile feelings towards someone and job them out, etc) Everyone will get the same opportunities and warnings, including the owner via the other administrators and/or mods.

21) Winners of matches are determined no later than Wednesday, two days prior to Rage and/ or pay-per-views being posted. Winners are determined by management based off how well they portrayed not only themselves but their scheduled match/feud as well as their attendance: in other words quality doesn't trump quantity and vice versa. If the owner feels both handlers are tied, attendance will be factored in.

And in the instance where all are equal the owner may consult the writers or make the match a no contest.

If it is a feud, the owner may contact the parties with ideas to make sure they are not in conflict with ideas they may have.

22) If anyone has any issues, they are encouraged to speak to the owner themselves. Dealing with issues via a second party will not be accepted. We are all adults, not 12 year olds. And please remember rule number 4E.

Also issues are to remain a PRIVATE matter. Do not mass PM everyone about the issues or spam up the site. Spamming is a big no no under the site rules.

23) Handlers are to respect ALL members of the efed roster. If someone feels that a lack of respect has been shown they are to inform the owner, who will review the comments. The first time this happens following 12-21-08 the person will be warned. The second time it happens they will be banned from the site.

24) NOBODY is to publicly post suggestions to the administrative team or the bookers. If you have ideas, suggestions, or rants they are to be directed to Fawn.

25) Under no circumstance should ANYONE feel they are the "self appointed" speaker of the PCW and owner. There are fine lines that may get crossed. For example the owners see no problem with promoting the efed on other sites but if you promote and say "They'll make you a champ within a month" then you're crossing a MIGHTY fine line.
