Video package set to “Man of the Hour” plays. Sally Smith- Barnes is again announcing for the night. She sings “O, Canada” and as she finishes the crowd cheers. Terry Funk and Summer Sammartino-Rutherford come out to watch the show from the ringside area. Summer gets in the ring and looks out at the crowd. “Before we start the show, I want to thank everyone for coming out and for being a part of this second annual show. Last night I wanted to talk about Scott but I was trying to catch my breath after my match with Daizee. Scott, well, it’s hard to find anything negative to say about Scott. He was always a great friend and mentor to me. I will always enjoy the ideas we bounced off each other, the conversations we had, and the fact he was always so reassuring when I was doubting myself. Scott will never know how many lives he touched and how much he is missed. Scott, thank you for all the great memories as well as the confidence boost that were well needed.” Summer leaves the ring and the show begins. ROUND ONE RESULTS Syco Boy defeated Nick Scott As a sign of respect, both men shook hands before the match. Evenly matched skill between the two. Early submission spots and high risk spots in the match. Nick takes advantage at 6:45 following a German Suplex. At 7:55, Syco makes comeback after hitting Nick with a surprise jawbreaker, Finish at 8:18 sees Syco hit the Syco Clash to pick up the win. Red Ninja defeats The Mauler Like pervious opponents, two shook hands. Mauler nails Ninja with shots as the bell sounds, taking him down. Mauler’s control is lost at 4:00 as Ninja comes off the ropes with a headscissors takedown. 6:34 sees Mauler back in control thanks to countering a hurracarana with a powerbomb. Ninja is able to come back within 8:10, beginning a battle to see who will come out as the victor. Finish comes at 9:45 when Ninja is able to get the win after a rollup on The Mauler. Soul Reaper defeated Johnny Blaze w/ Mika Tanaka Blaze came in as a man on fire, claiming the match as his own. Suplexes and Sauski Specials gave Blaze a few counts that almost resulted in the match ending at the 5:22 mark but Reaper was able to rebound in his own style and at 7:23 hit a spinebuster and applied the Cold, Hard Truth to secure his advancement to the next round. Killer Kong versus Super Vader went to a no contest The two were surprised to find out they were facing each other as opponents were drawn before each match. Fans were eager to see what could happen in this match and they were not a bit disappointed. The two men brawled more than wrestled, causing the control to change many times throughout the match. The finish at 10:45 saw both men get counted out as they brawled on the outside. Matt Margera defeated Mike Hanson Matt refused to shake the hand of Hanson before the match. The two Texans began the match brawling near the ring before going in and showing the Canadian crowd the style of Texas wrestling. Terry Funk watched on as Margera controlled at 4:55 after a suplex. Hanson was able to capture control at 7:17 following a short-arm clothesline. But the finish came at 11:11 when Margera delivered the Benihana out of nowhere to advance on. Mike Rutherford defeated Emily Rutherford The fans were in shock as the two siblings had to face each other. Both showcased their styles with technical skill before getting into the serious action. Emily controls at 4:55; Mike comes back at 5:32. Emily goes for the Gabba Gabb Hey! At 9:09 But Mike pushes her into the corner and rolls her up for the win. After the match, the two siblings hug. Stank Lovve defeated Angel Angel attacked Stank as he made his way to the ring and remained on a ruthless campaign. Stank fights back at 4:32 when he ducks a clothesline and takes Angel down with a forearm shot. The match is all Stank’s until 6:22 when Angel moves out of the way of an elbow drop. Angel tries to keep her dreams of advancement alive but doesn’t. Finish sees Stank win at 8:29 with the Stank Driver. Mike Williams defeated Pandora Both wrestlers bumped fist before the start of the match. Lockup in the middle of the ring gives Mike the advantage until Pandora sends him across the ring and down with a dropkick. Action was back and forth between the two, seeing many near falls and neat submissions. But Mike was able to pick up the win at 7:00 via submission with the Torture Rack. Andrew Smith defeated Marcus Williams The battle between a former tag champion in Texas and the current one ended the first round matches. Marcus went after Smith as soon as the bell rung, beating him down with punches. Marcus stayed on his attack until Smith rallied back at 6:34 with a drop toe hold. Smith then laid beatings into Marcus. Finish saw Marcus go for the Boot from Hell but Smith ducked, countering it into the Retribution DDT to get the shocking win at 10:23 **INTERMISSION NUMBER ONE: 20 minutes ** ROUND TWO RESULTS Syco Boy defeated Mike Williams Mike still looked a bit fatigued as he came out for the match but he began to run on adrenaline as soon as the bell sounded. Syco gave Williams elbow shots while Mike gave punches. Match all Williams in the early get-go. Syco is able to rally back at 6:00 and looks to put Williams away with a figure four but has no luck. Match goes back to Williams as he nails a surprise DDT. The finish comes at 12:22 when Syco hit’s the Twist of Fate out of nowhere and follows with the Syco Bomb. Matt Margera defeated Soul Reaper No love lost between these two men. Back and forth match that saw control change six times in a seven minute period. Margera picked up the win following the Benihana out of nowhere at 8:01 Mike Rutherford defeated Andrew Smith Another match that shocked fans. The two shook hands before the match and began to lay into the other with punches at the opening bell. This match spilled to the outside many times and control of the match being spit many times. Finish came at 12:33 when Mike hit the Black Plague on Andrew. The two shook hands after the match. Stank Lovve defeated Red Ninja Mutual respect shown between the two . Like the pervious two matches, both men showcased their talent and looked to move on to the third round. Fans were split on who to be for as half of the arena was for Stank while the other half was for the home country boy. At 13:08 the finish came with Stank getting the pin on Ninja following the Lovve Coaster. **INTERMISSION NUMBER TWO:15 minutes*** ROUND THREE RESULTS Mike Rutherford defeated Syco Boy Comic spot before the match: Mike gave Syco a jar of dirt. Syco danced around the ring with it but threw it at Mike, causing him to duck. Syco went on the attack as the bell rung. Syco’s calling the match his own up until 4:54 when he goes for a suicide dive but Mike moves. He picks Syco up, throwing him into the barricade. Now the advantage is Mike’s as he rolls Syco in and gives him a STO. Finish comes when Syco regains control and goes for the Syco Bomb but Mike rolls out of the way. Mike picks Syco up and hits the Red Revolting Plague at 14:44. The two shook hands after the match. Stank Lovve defeated Matt Margera Matt attacked Stank as he came to the ring with a hockey stick. As they rolled in the ring, matt went for a clothesline but Stank ducked and hot one of his own. Match goes in Stank’s favor for the next nine minutes. Margera rallies back, reversing a German Suplex for one of his own. Margera fights his way back but fan support is behind Stank, helping him come back. Finish comes at 14:40 when Stank hits Margera with a Sto and applies a figure four in the middle of the ring. **INTERMISSION NUMBER THREE: 10 MINUTES** FINAL ROUND RESULTS Stank Lovve defeated Mike Rutherford Both men get a huge applause of the fans before they shake hands and wish each other good luck. Match has the feel of an old school wrestling match as both men control for at least two minutes each. At 8:29 the action spills to the outside and Stank sends Mike into the barricade. Stank charges in but Mike throws him into the first row, goes in the ring, breaks the count, and goes back out. Mike keeps control for the next six minutes. Stank fights back and gets control after Mike goes to the top rope but Stank runs up and sends him down with a belly-to-belly suplex. Finish sees Mike hit a hurracarana on Stank and get him up for the Red Revolting Plague but Stank slips out and puts on the Million Dollar Dream in the middle of the ring. Mike taps out. After the match the fans are on their feet. Stank celebrates and as Mike comes to his feet, the two shake hands and hug in the ring, Mike raises Stank’s hand. All of the participants come to the ring and watch Terry Funk present Stank with the trophy. Stank cries and thanks everyone. “Start Me Up” by the Rolling Stones plays as Stank is lifted in the air by the wrestlers and the show ends. |
