It's on the download site now. Includes the new stat files, new frontend and game review graphics. Sounds and new faction flags based on actual colours. Unzip the rar file and double click the installer.

I was wondering what updates might have appeared here while I was gone. I also wonder exactly what this one does to make the game better. It appears to have no effect on the core elements of 1809 such as gameplay.

Hi mate, sorry it's dead here at the moment, 5.3 is graphical mainly and very slight stat changes. Falk has dissapeared on his yacht and i'm afraid it's not looking good for 1809.

NOT SO!!!

Englands answer to Columbus is at this very moment taking on more weevil infested biscuits and watery rum for the final leg of the Odyssey from Sicily to Greece. On reaching the fabled shores of Kephalonia maybe he can do something about a permanent ( and non intermittent ) connection to the Internet. We get used to easy internet access in the UK but you would not believe how hard it is to even find somewhere to get on line when your bimbling round the coasts of the Med. Doesn,t help that ozone seems to like eating PC,s with relish. Two down so far reduced to rusty boxes of salt covered circuitry. Thus this communication hastily despatched from a seedy Sicilan internet cafe with gentleman in dark suits and violin cases muttering together over small glasses of Chianti.

Probably be back in circulation in about a month when I sail past Athens and find the local equivalent of PC World.

Until then Adieu mes braves, 1809 sleeps in the bosom of Poseidon but will return with a strong odour of olive oil and ouzo.
