The Dream Walkers appeared the moment mankind began to dream, guardians of the sleep they would guide and inspire mortals. Then they were cursed. Apparently having meddled in the dreams of Gods, the Dream Walkers had their emotions stripped from them. Now, they feel only what the mortals feel when dream walking.
The Adori were once Dream Walkers, protectors of human dreams but became addicted to emotions and began haunting mortals minds, using them as their drug source and in turn events began to spiral out of control.
Then came something else. Created when an Adori bred with Badb-the Goddess of War, Death and Rebirth, the Incubi and Succubi were immortal beings which for a thousand years hunted humans for their blood, emotions and fears, to gain power. They bred like vermin and soon, even the Gods of Chaos and destruction saw them as a threat. For there must always be an equal balance in things. With out light, there would be no dark. So, Their parents cursed them, to live a half life. Thirty years. Of which on the day of their thirtieth birthday they would experience they would age a hundred years over twenty four hours, turning to dust.
However, some found an out clause, so they would not die upon their thirtieth birthday. Instead of feeding on blood, emotions and fears, they would feed upon the human soul. Trapping it in their own body and using its life force to keep them alive.
As more and more Daemons gather, creating small armies to better gather souls for their consumption the Gods have engaged in a political war, some wishing equal control to police the daemons, others wishing to order their demi children as warriors for the cause and while others simply do not care, It is known the Greeks wish to have full control over policing the Daemon's, not wishing to share the "glory" with anyone else.
