Welcome lovelies, to Nevermore!

Trust us when we say that we know how much one wants to just get into an RP as soon as possible and not spend twenty minutes reading over rules and such, so we’d like to keep it to the basics as much as possible (but if we ramble a little, forgiveness please?)

& Communities are awesome; warm and friendly communities are even more awesome! More than anything, we’d like people to enjoy playing here, and to want to come back often just because they love being around the place. So one thing that won’t be tolerated is outright rudeness toward one another or the staff.

&If someone does have an issue with another person please don’t bring it publicly on to the board – settle it in IM, PM or let one of the admins know. We're happy to try and act as mediators. No one needs their fun spoiled by open hostilities in public. It's awkward and off-putting. Respect is expected from all, including the admins.

& This board is account-per-character. This means that when you register, please register with your characters first and last name, correctly capitalised. If you make a mistake please PM an Admin and they will fix it up for you.

& There is no limit to the amount of characters you create. We only ask that you keep them all active and only take on as many as you can handle.

& Here at Nevermore quality, not quantity is our mantra. A short post can be just as effective as a long one, sometimes even more so. However, if it is clear the person you are playing with has put a lot of effort into your thread, please do the same. Keep things fair and equal.

& All posts are to be written in third person, past-tense.

&Please be aware, this is an open rated board which means there will be some themes that might offend people. For this reason we have these rules:

• Try and post warnings at the start of your thread or tag it with an [M] if you feel its contents may offend.
  
• We don’t want to see anyone roleplaying graphic sex just for the sake of it – if its not necessary to play it out then there’s no point. We are willing to create a private forum if people wish but for now we’ll leave it open.
  
  & Nevermore is non-linear. This means that your character can be in as many threads as you like, as long as you can keep up with them and also keep track of when they occur in relation to each other.
  
  & Nevermore is a place where pretty much almost anything can happen. That being said, we’re going to give people the benefit of the doubt that they won’t go nuts and attempt to powerplay because that really saps the fun out of it. However, if your character is up against someone who is obviously stronger, they’re clearly going to have some trouble getting out of that. All in all, extreme metagaming/powerplaying/godmoding (without permission) will result in people being bopped over the head.
  
  & And remember. IC actions mean IC consequences. Broken bones do not heal in a deal, black eyes do not disappear over night. Keep track of your character's actions and the possible results from them. And remember, there is always something bigger and badder than you out there.

& Out of concern for personal rights/safety we do not allow faces from Facebook/Myspace/DA. Face claims must be a real person although they are not a mandatory part of playing here.

& Avatars can be up to 125x250 pixels.

& Signatures are to be no wider than 450px so as to prevent board stretching. Also, they are to be no higher than 200px thank you.
