WELCOME
Welcome to NESM, the New England School of Magic. We are a modern-day, real time Potterverse RPG.

There was Harry Potter.

There was Hogwarts.

There was everything in “Wizarding Europe," but no one really tells the story about Wizarding America.

This is the story of one Wizarding school in America and the students and teachers within it’s doors.

It only took Sean a few minutes to find his car. It kind of stood out. In the small student parking lot, his Aston Martin DB9 coupe was an unusual sight amongst the others. (link here.) Sean was quite a bit less hesitant to show it Alphie as than Amoretta. He was more confident now and was even quite eager to show it off. He jumped into the driver side and turned the key, listening to the motor kick to life. He grinned at the sound of power and threw it in reverse, swinging out of the parking lot.

He pulled up to the door and let Alphie in, letting her inspect the flawless car to her hearts content. They sped down the roads to town and talked about their soccer strategy. Sean talked extensively of his time with the brittish soccer scouts. He had learned quite a bit from them when he was over there, and he made it no secret that he would be a great captain for the NESM squad. He even thought most of the squad would agree with him. Eventually they pulled into the mall parking lot and parked. Sean turned to her and smiled, gesturing towards the mall.

"Food court sound good? You want anything in particular? I'm hungry but I have no idea what I want." He opened the doors and let her lead the way if she so wished. He could definitely enjoy spending this time with her, especially since he got rid of that backwoods kid.

Alphie slowly followed Sean to the student parking lot, wondering exactly why he had been so intense with Charles. Charles was a nice guy, as was Sean, and she didn't think that there were any lessons or clubs in which they would come into any kind of aggressive contact. She stood on the sidewalk as she waited for him to pul out, absently expecting a mini-van of some sort, as if she was going on a family outing.

He reversed it out of his spot, and her eyes widened, as her eyebrows shot up. An Aston Martin, and a new one at that! He must be rich! Either that, or he had some pretty well off contacts. She masked her surprise and admiration, though, as she ducked into the passenger seat. "Nice car." She commented, as she pulled the door shut and the car sped off campus.

Alphie fell uncharacteristically silent as she sat in the car, surreptitiously looking around the car at the luxuries that didn't appear in any way, shape or form in the cars that she normally found herself in. It didn't matter how quiet she was, though, because Sean was talking enough for the both of them. He spoke of soccer strategies, and all about the people he had met playing soccer in Britain, and even about how great a captain he expected he'd be. At this, Alphie frowned. She wasn't going to be at NESM next year, and she knew that she'd miss it. Even if she wasn't going to be there, though, she wanted the team to have a captain that would listen to all of them, and include them all in the team.

They got out of the car, and looked towards the mall. Hm... Where to go? She wondered, just seconds before Sean asked her a question.

"Food court sound good? You want anything in particular? I'm hungry but I have no idea what I want."

"Um, sure...." Alphie nodded, agreeing somewhat distractedly as she tried to think exactly what cafes, restaurants and general food merchants were actually there and open to a student budget. "Nah, nothing really comes to mind, but we can't go wrong with Taco Bell or Pizza Hut, right?" She asked, naming a couple of the fast-food restaurants that she visited almost religiously during the holidays.

Sean opened the doors, and Alphie walked in with a 'thanks' and a brief smile. She looked around the mall as she tried to remember how she normally navigated it. From this entrance, they had to take two rights and a left through a busy cross section, if she remembered rightly. It would be entertaining to see just how quickly they managed to get to the food court.

He and Alphie made their way through the mall and he chatted the whole time, talking about soccer, about school, about his car. He didn't really ask her any questions about herself, but it didn't occur to him. He also avoided the topic of the death of his family completely, nothing would kill the mood quite like that. They entered the food court and without pause he got in line at Sbarro. Their pizza was the greatest food in existence and Sean could definitely go for one of their gigantic slices right now. He turned back to her and smiled brightly.

"I cannae believe that whole body business back at the school. Some people just donnae have a sense of humor, yknow?" He shrugged and stepped forward a place in line as one person finished. He turned back and looked her up and down quickly, obviously quite content with what he saw. "I'm thinking about gettin' a slice of sausage. They use these really big pieces on their slices."

He stepped forward to first in line and ordered, looking back to her for her to make her order. He was going to pay for the both of them. After she ordered, the girl behind the counter scurried off to get it and Sean looked at Alphie again. He spoke very abruptly.

"Y'know, I got an idea. Ye should go to prom with me. We would be the hottest couple there."

As Alphie and Sean wound around and through crowds and fountains, benches and displays, he carried on talking. He seemed to have a never ending supply of conversational topics, which was kind of a good thing. The only problem was that she could only get the odd phrase in when he paused for breath, and sometimes, she wanted to say a little more than that.

Finally, after being bashed and battered with shopping bags and careless young children's toys, they reached the food court. The queues and crowds there weren't much better, but at least people were aiming for one place or another. All the seats were filled in the middle of the court, and many of the seats outside the cafe's were too, though the odd scattering were still empty.

Despite her suggestion, they moved into the line for Sbarro, which was a fast-food restaurant that she had never actually been to, basically because she was always out-voted. He spoke about school, and what had happened just a few hours ago.

"I cannae believe that whole body business back at the school. Some people just donnae have a sense of humor, yknow?"

"It didn't look very fake." Alphie shuddered, making a face and swallowing down the urge to be sick. She shook her head to dispel the gruesome images, and stepped forward with Sean. Surprisingly, the queue was moving pretty quickly, and they were near the front of the queue already.

He wasn't very subtle as he checked her out, and she frowned slightly as her cheeks turned the palest pink for a few seconds. "It's really warm in here, isn't it?" She asked, shrugging off her thin pink jacket to reveal her tanned skin, and, to the people behind her, the two tattoos on her shoulder blades, as the straps of her top sat to the side of one, and only through a small part of the larger one.

"I'm thinking about gettin' a slice of sausage. They use these really big pieces on their slices."

Alphie nodded, as if she was paying full attention to what he was saying, though, in actual fact, she was trying to decide what she wanted herself. She knew that there had to be the minimal amount of cheese, as she was mildly lactose intolerant, so would be up half of the night being sick if she ate too much of it. What she couldn't decide on, though, was the topping.

"I think I'll go with chicken and sweetcorn." Alphie commented, somewhat absently, as her mind had been pulled back to the incident a couple of hours ago.

"Y'know, I got an idea. Ye should go to prom with me. We would be the hottest couple there."

Alphie was shocked out of her reverie as Sean spoke bluntly. She laughed nervously as she twirled her hair round her fingers. "Um.... Yeah, sure, that'd be great." She finally answered, with a smile.
