My Account Has Been Compromised..., Again...

After last time - in which they got my email through some fan site - I changed my email to something weird that was ONLY used for Neopets.

And today I couldn't log into my main account.
I first was denied access at 1pm from a non-home computer. I got home and was logged out.
My neofriend that I messaged said I'd been on around 3pm NST.

My sides are untouched. I made another new email for them. Partially to see if my main (grinkbunni) was still registered to that email. It wasn't.
I've no idea how they got into my account.
Luckily, all my pets are still on the account - so hopefully the pin prevents any real issues.

But still... It took over a month when I was a premium member to get access back. How long's it going to take this time?

And how did it happen?!

It *might* be because of Leopets' recent hacking. Katie lost her account hysteriia to it this morning. :(

I had a leo account but I've been active for a long time. And they had different passwords


Though I still can't seem to log in... I might have just tried a bunch of variations in case I had changed it and forgot.

Turns out, Katie's account really was compromised. :( It's frozen now. Let's just hope for the best.

I really do hope that it was just the error that is keeping you from logging in.

I can happily say I have gotten my account back.


If anybody else has an issue... File your ticket under "Birthday/Account Access Help"
I got a response in under six business hours. (The ticket was filed afterhours)
I previously had filed it under Password/Account Access Help but got no response. I did another under the Birthday header based on advice on the boards for a quicker response.


I'd also suggest people check their emails to verify they are accurate. As well as their passwords by editing their user lookup.
If there's an issue... don't log out and file a ticket.
