working on a layout for mercy, click here plsu

this was designed to fit 1024 x 768 and wide screens

basically if you have a 1024 x 768 it ends righ at the end of the text box
but if it's wider, then you can see the bg pattern

i just......... can't decide if i like it or not
i feel about something of the placement of the text box looks awkward
but i can't tell if that's just cuz i'm not used to it, or if it really is awkward ffff

opinions plsu? ;u;

LOOKS GOOD TO ME.

An alternative thing you could do is make the textbox resize itself to fit a screen, up until a certain point (lol my screen right now is 1920x1024... I'd get like one line of text per paragraph, haha) before it stops. You can set that through a max-width, along with a width of some kind of percentage. :o

That way, there isn't this HUUUUGE whiet space to the right of the page. However, like I said, I really like it as-is. :3 /used to awkwardly large negative spaces

fffffffff dorothy that is such a huge screen!!!

my screen is still 1024 x 768 so when i hear people with these giant resolutions it's just like.... i can't imagine having that much space on my screen xD

I voted no, sorry ;o; *jerk*
I'm really not fond of layouts where the text box area is pretty smushed when there is tonnes of space available - the image takes up most of the page for your resolution but for any wider (which are becoming increasingly more common, trends suggest at least 20% of internet users are now using a resolution of over 1800 in width!) you can just see... the filler image to the right taking up over half the page in my instance (1980 px wide)

I think with a 1200 pixel resolution width like yours you would still have a little space left - I think it would benefit from a border in your resolution of about 10-20 pixels at the right and a few hundred px wider for other resolutions - but I definately think the centre text box should be wider.
Right now it doesn't look too inviting and doesn't draw me in to the centre where the content is, it makes me stare at the left and avoid the right side entirely, which includes the textbox!

This is what I see!

I think to make it a little less boring, you could try and get a repeating background of the snow & sky. :o

i actually was gonna try that!

however when i made this big, i didn't really make in with the idea of something repeating in mind
i just took the marker tool and was liek LALALA COLORRRRRRRRRR
so it's kind of hard to make into something repeatable TT_____________TT

i may try to just redo the bg in the future fffff

This is what I see
idk the side bit is really distracting. Though seriously it looks alright on your size resolution.
I think it might look better with the side bit white like on Doro's screen xD! Or maybe an inverse of the same image aligned far right just to start on that side?

I don't know, personally I'm more drawn to centre orientated layouts XD
