Hullo. c:
My name is Andi, and I'm totally not new to Neopound. I made this account a few months ago, but then I had a lot of personal things come up, and I couldn't get online for a while. Anyway, now I'm back and trying to renew myself on Neopets. I want to improve my account, and maybe miraculously get one of my dream pets. (:

^ That sounded super cheesy. Sorry. xD

Anywaaaay, I'm sixteen years old now, and a senior in high school.
And I love you. :3

edit:
And I totally don't like my username.
Maybe somebody who loves me enough that has admin cp could change it for me? ;D

The only one active with Admin CP access is Vicats. Her username here is 'appologies'. I'm sure she'll change it for you if you PM her. :)

Welcome back to Neopound, though! My name is Dorothy, and I'm the database manager for the site. You can find me around the forums mainly helping with coding issues for userlookups, petlookups, petpages, etc. Or you'll find me critiquing applications, which I do from time to time.

What are your dream pets? I'm sure one of them could be UFA at the moment-- a ton of nice pets are. ^^

And dang. :o Did you skip a grade? I was seventeen when I entered my final year in HS (I'm eighteen now and gettin' ready for college!).

Ah, okay. Thanks! I'll send her a PM as soon as I figure out what I want it changed to. c:

And hullo, Dorothy. I'll keep that in mind next time I'm writing an application. ;D

Well, my main dream pet has always been a Faerie Xweetok. Mutant Xwees are also pretty high up there, along with Faerie Gnorbus. And recently I saw a Faerie Lenny UFA, and I realized how amazing they look, and I kinda had this idea for a character, but in all honesty I could apply it to any character. It just works better with the whole peacock feather thing.

And yeah! I skipped, like, first grade. < Totally takes away from the awesomeness, but whatever. I'm the youngest in my grade, most likely. I'm younger than my friends a grade below me, too. xD

Oh! Well funny story then-- I have a Faerie Xweetok up for adoption right now. Her name is Chimeko. :)

I have a thread just for that, here: http://z15.invisionfree.com/neooddones/ind...showtopic=33473

I'm not sure of any mutant xwees or faerie gnorbu, however. Maybe there are some on the main database-- have you checked yet?

And yeah, I have some pets I want to apply for with a design I could give to another pet... I might not apply for that reason, but who knows!

And geez, congrats! I was recommended to take a test to skip second grade, I think. I never took it, but it didn't matter because most of my friends in senior high were seniors anyway (while I was a junior). Needless to say I was lonely my senior year, but I get to hang with them again! Some, at least. Some are overachievers and attend Ivy schools and the like, haha.

Do you have an idea of where you want to go after your senior year? Have you started your essays yet?

(I apologize for slow replies after this post. Need to eat!)

Ooh! Well, look at that. o: I'll check her out. c;

Yeah, I checked out the database already. I'm really picky about names and first impressions, and the date they were put UFA. You know? I don't really like applying for pets that were put up nearly two months ago, even if the deadline hasn't happened yet. It kind of decreases my self esteem and confidence. But exceptions can always be made. It just depends.

That's cool! Yeah, most of my friends (last year, when I was a junior) were sophomores. I have good friends in my grade, too. But one of my closest friends is a sophomore. I don't know, in some ways it's easier to get along with the grade below, because I'm their age, but in my own grade, the maturity level is a little different, because we're all facing the same things education-wise, you know?

(Haha, that's alright. I actually have to go know, anyway, so I won't be able to respond until tomorrow morning. But I can't wait to hear from you then! :3)

Sure thing. ^^ If you apply, I look forward to your app! (And I highly suggest you make an app wip thread as well. :D)

That's understandable. I don't apply for pets with long deadlines, myself. It gives me more time to procrastinate than anything, which is why my pets are only up for adoption for two and a half weeks (the deadline is the 31st).

Yep! I totally get where you're going at. For me, it's different because I'm more mature than my grade level, so I got along better with the seniors than the juniors, haha. I also get along better with older folks in general since I'm an old fashioned person.

See you tomorrow! ^^

Hi Andi!! Welcome back to Neopound! My name is Skye~
Both you and Dorothy are so much younger than me! I feel like such an old fart pfffft

What's your Neopets username, if you don't mind me asking? C:

Also! I disagree with you and Doro - I prefer pets with long deadlines. I always find that pets with a short deadline make me want to apply on a whim. With long deadlines, I can tell if I actually want the pet.

Good luck finding your dream pets! I think faerie gnorbu's are really nice as well.

Dorothy: I have a feeling you want me to make a wip thread so you can stalk it. ;D

Yeah, procrastination is kind of a big problem for me. xD I make all these different goals for myself, and I say okay, I'm gonna do this today. And then by the end of the day, oops! didn't happen. haha.

When I was a freshman, I got along with older peoples a lot better, too. I had a lot of sophomore and senior friends. It was weird though, I didn't really know any juniors, huh.

Skye: How old are you? xD

It's xxsolidified. c: What's yours?

I like longer deadlines, too, most of the time; I just don't like getting into it late. I like making a first impression in the beginning, because I have this weird idea in my head that if you make your impression as one of the first few people interested, you make a better impression to the foster-er. Because you were the first. I don't know, better late than never, too!

Thanks! :3

If you want. :o Or I can steer clear from it. We just need more activity around here, honestly. x3 But no one will post!

And our schools were split up from 9-10 and 11-12. I could only ever make friends with the grade above or below me. P:

I wouldn't mind a little stalkage on my progress. :3

That's weird. o_o
Were you split up into, like, two whole separate schools? Or same school, just different programs/buildings?

You know, why do your xwee adopts have to be so cute?
They're too cute.
It's like, I want one, but that's just weird, if it were for Chimeko. xD
Also considering that the only repayment I could give in art is sketches/paper drawings, as long as I figure out this camera business.

Split up into two separate schools!

Two "high schools" (9-10) fed into one "senior high school" (11-12). We have three senior high schools in my city, and my graduating class was made up of 1.5k students.

I think it's a pretty good concept, though. That way, freshmen aren't bullied by the seniors, though honestly, I've never seen it other than in movies. P:

And aw, thanks! If you get her, I'll make you one for free. :D I'm not sure what to do with the xwee set after she's adopted out anyway, haha. Maybe I'll make a general adoptables page. happy.gif

Wow! I've never heard of that before. Are you in the US?
And yeah, I guess. That way there's no opportunity for a Freshman Friday. xD I've never seen anything like that, either though, other than in movies like Mean Girls, etc. I doubt that really even happens often except for maybe in super rich areas? I don't even know.

Aww, thanks! :3 And I think a general adoptables page would be cool! Do you do any other adopts except for Xwees?

Oh, also. I was just curious; what kind of responses have you gotten to Chimeko so far? Like, how many people have said they were applying?

I'm trying to think back, but I don't think many people told me they were applying for Chimeko. :o Many commented on how cute her name is, but that's all. ^^

And yes! I live in Texas in a ridiculously rich city of 200k+, haha.

I do! I have about five sets of kougra adoptables, three sets of bunny adoptables, one krawk set, various draik sets, hissi set, kacheek set, xwee set... lupe sets, techo set, gnorbu set, uni set... xD

Okay! That makes me feel a little better. xD

Wow, haha. I live in a crappy small town in Florida, but it's not too bad here.

Oh, cool! If they're all as cute as the xwee ones, then I'd say you have yourself a business, haha. :D

Mhmm! ^^ I'm sure you'll make a fantastic application if you decide to apply. :D

And yeah, we're just overpopulated. P: I don't mind it much except for the competitive school system. But it's a decent school system, at least. Rumor has it that my school district prepares us well for college.

I try to make them cute, but not all of them are. :o Some of them are yeears old, as well. I might have to remake some of them!

I just turned 20 D:

My account is skyekittie on Neo as well xD;

I see what you mean! If you express interest at the start and stick with your application, the fosterer knows you're dedicated. C:

Also~~ I see you like musical theatre! *approval* Good luck going to Broadway! I wish I could sing :C

Dorothy: Oh, thanks. :3

College preparation is always a good thing, haha. What do you want to major in?

Well, even though adopts are mostly, generally all cutesy, they don't haaaave to be, you know? But if they're so old, it probably might be good to revamp them, too. o:

Ske: You're not old! Just four years older than me, which may sound like a lot, but it's really not. (:

Yeah, exactly! It's something I've always had in mind when looking at pets UFA.

Thanks. c: I'll probably need all the luck I can get! And aww. Well, the cool thing about Broadway and musical theater is that you don't necessarily have to have the best voice in order to make it somewhere. It all depends on the part you're playing.

That's really cool! Is it hard?
I know I'm not the greatest at science, but somehow I'm still highly interested in Veterinary Medicine. That'd be a loooooottt of schooling, though.

I haven't experienced it yet! I start on August 27th, hehe. I'll let you know then! ^^

I have a few friends interested in vet med, but they're the seniors I mentioned earlier-- I haven't spoken to them recently, so I wouldn't know if it's hard or not. But from what I can imagine, it's very competitive? :o

At least, the school my friend wants to go to is.

xD I guess 20 isn't /that/ old, but I feel weird being older than most of my characters now.

Vet med would be an interesting course, but I don't think I'd ever be able to put an animal down. :C I'd end up crying all the time

My best friend at college is pre-vet! c: It's a lot of work, because not only does she have to take the regular pre-medical classes she has to take all the animal ones. She wants to be an exotic bird specialist.

I think even those that are pre-vet have a hard time with putting animals down, since my friend told me that the first time she does it she is calling me up and we're going to go sit at a bar and solemnly get drinks

anyway the thing about musical theater- since I know people in the business since I do it for a hobby- is directors will play favorites and it doesn't matter how perfect you are for the part sometimes. D: BUT DON'T GIVE UP!
