That sounds like a very frustrating situation. While I am typically an advocate for communicating your beliefs with the people in your life, this sounds like a case where perhaps you should just steer clear of him, at least on the religious front. Is it a matter of his disrespecting your belief system, or that of your friends? If that's the case, maybe talking to a community leader / the friend in question will at least make you feel better. Some people just can't grasp otherness. My mom and I are typically good at communicating about our beliefs, even though we are polar opposites on that front... however, when a conflict does arise, I find that taking the high road and avoiding confrontation helps our relationship out. I just talk out the issue with my friends and I feel better.

As for the money... that sounds very worrisome. I'm not sure how to cope with that kind of situation.

I believe in nothing. I feel that neutrality is the easiest way to accept and tolerate everyone.
