Title: .:.:. Virtual Wide Tour .:.:. Started!
Description: IT HAS BEGUN
Keruha - September 16, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
ZOMG! Is this title font dramatic or what!?.... Uh... I mean
.:.:. Virtual Wide Tour .:.:.
The days are ticking down for Caslean's deadline and I've just realized I need some roleplay examples for her application. So, under these circumstances, I have imagined a plot idea for some fun everybody can join in on. Well, actually I didn't create the roleplay plot exactly for her application, it just popped into my mind somehow while listening to the Dr. Mario Fever theme.
Anyway... Here's the skit....
Caslean trembled in her chair as the pen struck paper. She just couldn't hold in her excitement. Her music, her remixes, they've hit big time and all she had to do was sign her name. It won't be long now. In a couple of days her music is going to reach the ears of all those players of a new virtual reality game. It was truly an honor knowing how popular this company was. She signed the paper, "Caslean Spades".
The draik opposite from her took it and glanced it over. That stone face relieved a bit to reveal a smirk. "Nice doing business with you Miss Spades," he said putting the contract aside, "We'll be listening to your music soon."
"Awesome!" Caslean shouted, "You don't know how much I'm looking forward to it! Oh, hey, by the way, will I get a sneak preview of this new game? I mean, you are using my music for it."
"I'll take that as yes!" Cas laughed.
"Sure," Samu responded, quick and rather nonchalantly. "Mr. Fox, would you please escort Miss Spades to the lobby?"
Two months later...
"WHAT THE HECK IS THIS CRUD!?" Caslean yelled.
"Maybe if you took time to read the contract, you wouldn't be upset now would you," the voice on the other end said.
"Hey! No dude! What is with messing up my music! You didn't like what you got!?"
"Once you signed that contract, your music became property of the company. Therefore, we can do whatever we like with it. Be grateful we still granted you credit."
"That is not my music! That is not music at all. It is crud! Hear me loud and clear, I-"
"YOU DIRTY-" The cloudy draik whipped around, and gave a shout at the lupe sitting behind her, "Dashett!"
"Hey, don't look at me, Cassy. I warned you that kiddo was no good!" he said shrugging as he flipped through his magazine.
"Well, you were a business partner with him, I thought those deals went through with no problem," Caslean said, "I mean, can't you do something?"
"No problem? Cassy, I forgive you since you're a foreigner but the business world does not work like that," Dashett said, as his mind rolled around to whether anybody has found out that half of Wonderland Palace's slot machines were rigged. "Trust me. The best thing you can do is learn your lesson and forget about it. You do not want to stick your nose into that bear trap that is Seto Samu."
"Grr... Yeah, thanks a lot," Caslean muttered, and without another word, she stomped up the stairs to her bedroom.
Caslean sat on her bed, still fuming with anger and revenge. Plots came into her mind, many devious plots, but every one seemed out of her reach. She wanted the ultimate revenge, but how to do that. She sighed and put the weight of her body onto her arms, but that's when she found something under her hand. A piece of cardboard. Immediately she removed her hand and swiped up the card.
'Do you believe in magic?
Want to get the most out of that revenge?
Then I'm your lupess...
Silverpaw the Lupe'
'In a week, Samu is going to open the latest exhibit to his little virtual world for a couple of contest winners. Let's have some fun shall we.'
Anyway, here's the scoop. Your pets are going to be the contest winners unless you have a witch, warlock, or something that wants to team up with Silverpaw in making mayhem.
The general idea of the plot is that this virtual reality world will be altered to mimic several popular video games like Mario, Final Fantasy, Sonic, Pokemon, etc. Feel free to suggest a game too. I'm going to try to make it a real humorous, sugar-rush, roleplay. In the other words be prepared to see your characters at the Super Paper Mario alter, getting virtually married against their will, being owned by tonberries of final fantasy, owning tonberries, etc.
It will constantly be shifting through these various games, as Samu and the contest winners try survive the chaos while trying to find a way out (or at least get a hold of that witch, Silverpaw and strangle her).
Now to lay down so ground rules...
1. This is virtual reality. Feel free to kill and attack the others because they'll just come back.
2. Don't godmode.
3. No power playing. Really, there will be no roleplay if Silverpaw gets caught too soon.
4. Please restrict your posts to two paragraphs at the most. It makes the roleplay go quicker and people won't have to wade quite as much to know what is going on.
5. Two characters at the most please.
6. Any neopound rules are to be followed.
7. This an anthro rp if it wasn't obvious. XD
I will be roleplay Seto and Caslean as my main stars, and Silverpaw will make appearances every now and then.
So, anybody's pets interested in being 'lucky' contest winners?
BluenBlackWolf - September 17, 2008 12:19 AM (GMT)
Can my pet Noah_Hisakata be a lucky winner? 8D
Noah: ...What are you getting me into? o.O
(By the way, he is a xweetok right now, but is going to be a draik in the future. Just a heads up, or something. >3> *shrugs*)
Keruha - September 17, 2008 12:28 AM (GMT)
Congratulations, Noah! You have a golden ticket to go to Samu's Chocolate Fac- Virtual World thingy. :D
saiyukou - September 17, 2008 12:29 AM (GMT)
Hmmm.... can I use Inausti (Dari. Yurble)? c:
She's a singer/musician for her band... not that it matters... >_>;
Just out of curiousity, does it matter if our characters are anthro or quad? :3
Keruha - September 17, 2008 12:32 AM (GMT)
Sounds cool, Saiyukou.
And they can be quad in the virtual world if you want, but it is mainly an anthro roleplay.
saiyukou - September 17, 2008 12:36 AM (GMT)
She doesn't have a quad form at all, so it's all good. x3
You can call me Sai, by the way. :3
Keruha - September 17, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
Anyway, congratulations Inausti. You get the second golden ticket. :3
frozen_fire_dragon - September 17, 2008 02:33 AM (GMT)
I already contacted you about joining with Sapphire (old petpage
) =3 but in order to provide general information for everybody else...
In the virtual world, Sapphire will be a virus. Causing general disruption, even by regards of the average troublemaker. Sapphire is /not/ supposed to be in this game, so she's bound to create problems for everyone.
(While I would assume she could break boundaries and guidelines in the world(s), I'll be sure to ask permission before she does anything too crazy ;3)
Aaaand, the other character I wanted to join with is? (Recently butchered by filters petpage
He's the only character I have who I even /occasionally/ draw as a furry anthro anymore XD;
Spiffilicious - September 18, 2008 01:42 PM (GMT)
Edit: I realized Crategios would be much better in this roleplay, as he's an alien and would as such fit in well. :)
draon_dragonwolf - September 18, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
Oh I would love to join in the role play with Ryu my fursona and red crazy shoy! Now I got the time to role play and hopefully I won't get lost. XD Plus you need the happy-go-lucky charrie to make things fun. ^^
Keruha - September 18, 2008 11:00 PM (GMT)
[[ Alright! Let's get this parted started! ]]
Seto's tail swished smoothly as he waited outside the grand amusement park doors. The contest winners of his sweepstakes should be arriving any minute now. He checked over the list.
Noah, Inuasti, Rainstar, Crategios, Ryu, Ryo (That was your shoy right? XD), and... Caslean?
He scrunched his nose. What were the chances? An uneasy feeling settled in his stomache. Something was up, but he decided it wasn't in his place right now to mention it. For now he will simply double security and make sure everything was backedup. He looked up from the list and sure enough, Caslean was coming down the lane, spunky as ever. "Hmph..."
BluenBlackWolf - September 19, 2008 10:32 AM (GMT)
ooc: Okay! =D
ic: Noah blinked as he scrutinized the map in his hand. "I think this is the place." He muttered to himself, staring at the large, colorful doors a few yards away.
The map had come with the strange ticket in the mail. "YOU HAVE WON!" It said on the fount in big, gold letters, later describing that he had "been chosen to participate in a grand amusement park soon to be released". Noah thought it was all very fishy, but decided to go to the event anyways.
The light blue draik trotted down to the colorful doors, wondering what was in store for him.
draon_dragonwolf - September 19, 2008 01:37 PM (GMT)
(Just Ryu. Ryo is my krawk XD. Though I don't think a blind krawk would be playing video games. Don't worry I get myself confuse with their names sometimes.)
Ryu looked around the entrance in excitement. She loved video games and played them whenever she got a chance to get away from everyone and now she won this amazing contest. Her glee was filling up inside of her and ready to burst out. She gave a little jump at the thought.
"Yay! Yay! Yay! Video games here I come!" she shouted with glee as she made her way inside the complex. It was a shame though she didn't have any orange soda on hand to toast to the building for this occasion.
(Oh man I was just thinking... *laughs insanely* Finding Orange Soda in the virtual world could mean super insane powerup for Ryu. XD *shivers*)
Keruha - September 19, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
Seto was almost to busy focusing on Caslean to notice the other guests come up. Quite bad ettiquette since he was the host, even if he did believe that everybody should recognize him on the spot. It took him a while but his eyes soon jumped to Noah and then Ryu. Three at once. What a pleasant surprise.
Ignoring Caslean for the time being he notified Noah and and Ryu, "So you are the Digital Media sweepstake winners? May I see your tickets?"
"Hey!" Cas called, "Don't think you can ignore me!" She held up her map and ticket.
Seto cleared his throat in amusement, "Sure, Miss Spades..."
saiyukou - September 19, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
Staring down at the shiny golden ticket in her hands, Inausti made her way up to the entrance, wondering how she managed to get herself into this situation. Her palce blonde hair bounced slighty as she walked, in rhythem with the loud click of her high-heels against the floor.
Inausti looked up and noticed the gathering crowd, assuming that was were she was supposed to go. Straightening the frilly hems on her dress as she approached, Ina gave a small little wave to the others and merged into the group, ticket in hand.
Spiffilicious - September 20, 2008 02:15 AM (GMT)
Crategios hurried in after the other pets that had arrived; he couldn't wait to see these awesome video games! Not to mention meeting his idol, Seto Samu. My god. He was amazing.
Clutching his ticket, he ran up to the red draik with golden clouds all over.
"Hey. Are you Seto?" he asked cautiously, "I have my ticket. Do you need it or something?"
Keruha - September 20, 2008 02:57 AM (GMT)
Caslean looked stunned for a moment at Crategios, but soon buried her mouth in her hands, spitting up laughter. She took them off and replied, "Uh... Why yes... Give me your ticket, so I can crush your dreams," she mimicked, lowering her voice to match the host's.
Seto caught word of this and gave sharp clearing of the throat. He loomed over Caslean, but that didn't stop her from continuing to snicker. As a matter of fact, his presence just made her laugh more. So, ignoring her, Samu turned to Crategios and examined the ticket in his hand. "Congratulations for making it," he muttered then turned to inspect Inuasti's ticket. Everything was in check. He set himself in the middle of the entrance and stared down the group.
"Congratulations sweepstake winners. Each of you has been selected out of millions to participate in the latest addition to the Zyptech virtual reality system. For those who may be unaware..." Seto's eyes fell onto Crategios, "I am the CEO of Zyptech, Seto Samu and I will personally be hosting this tour."
frozen_fire_dragon - September 20, 2008 03:26 AM (GMT)
After a short flash of blinding white light, Rain found himself stumbling into a building occupied by a small crowd of people. He glanced around at the others, and after a short moment of listening in, found he was apparently late...for...something.
He straightened himself out and began to brush off his clothes before noticing he was holding a golden ticket for at least the past 120 seconds.
With a nervous smile, Rain attempted an inconspicuous merge into the group of people nearby to continue listening in.
spooki - September 20, 2008 08:32 AM (GMT)
ooc; haha I posted. C:
"Let's hope this one doesn't end in disaster..." a soft voice murmured.
Just a few feet nigh of the contest host stood a rather fidgety kyrii, bristling with tension. Her eyes, light blue in color, had been cautiously regarding her surroundings earlier but now they were focused on the group. A careful observer would have noticed the small sigh that preceeded the look.
She smiled politely at them. The smile itself wasn't entirely forced but it did take a good deal of effort for her to keep her hands from fiddling with the hem of her blouse. Instead she tucked a long strand of hair back behind her ear as she directed her attention towards Seto – it was the lesser of two evils in nervous gestures after all. Even if her worries were justified she preferred not to draw attention to herself. Not this way at least.
No, she would listen with the rest of them...quietly wondering why she accepted his ticketless invitation and quietly praying her presence wouldn't jinx the advent.
Saying she and Mr. Samu had not had the best of luck in their past meetings would be putting it /very/ lightly...
draon_dragonwolf - September 20, 2008 02:31 PM (GMT)
"I'm so happy to play!" Ryu exclaimed. She looked at the others around her and gave another big grin. She wondered how the game would be with all of these players, but the more there are the more the fun for all Ryu cared about.
She wanted to get off to start the game, but she could tell there might be more to say. Who knows. She was just very impatience to be off and get gaming. She looked at Seto to see if he wanted to say more or show them where they would play the game.
Keruha - September 20, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
Seto smirked at Ran's appearance, and without turning to her, said, "Hmph! Glad you could make it, but keep in mind, not everything I do 'ends in disaster'!" He cleared his throat, "Winners, this is a special acquaitance of mine, Ran Seimori, she will be assisting me with the tour."
"Moving on, in a couple of moments you will be behind these doors, and in the Virtual Reality dome. But before I can let you in, I have to lay down a few ground rules. First of all, my word is law, and if you can't comprehend this, I suggest you leave now.... Miss Spades..."
She snorted. "Whatever, dude. I'm staying."
"Second, so is Seimouri's word, unless she contradicts me. Third, don't be an idiot. If you're looking to get yourself stuck in a wormhole, then you will get stuck in a wormhole. Finally, for those who have malicious intent, if any, I have doubled security, both in and out of the game. Don't even try it."
saiyukou - September 20, 2008 04:32 PM (GMT)
Inausti fidgeted nervously were she stood, playing with a strand of her hair to keep calm. Disaster? Malicious intent? Those words weren't very comforting at all. Not to mention she wasn't much of a gamer, and would probably have no idea what she was going to do once she went through those doors.
Brushing her hand through her pale locks, Inausti looked around at the group. She couldn't say that she wasn't used to crowds, but she particularly feel comfortable either. With a sigh she turned her golden gaze back to Seto, and listened to him speak.
spooki - September 20, 2008 06:32 PM (GMT)
A flicker of curiosity crossed her face as she studied the side of his. There was nothing on his expression to suggest it had been a joke.
He was really serious?
Ran was shocked. True, she considered Mr. Samu to be an important friend but it was rare for him to show he thought of her anymore than a nuisance. And yet here he was assigning her to second in command. He really trusted her that much now? She nearly choked. The girl was undeniably touched...that was until she realized the title 'assistant' also meant she would be /working for him/.
'Oh well,' she thought, smiling once more. As long as he didn’t start treating her like one of his employees she could play along with it. It was all in good fun. Some of the contest winners looked so excited – her smile had widened a little more when she noticed Ryu in particular – Ran hoped their expectations would not disappoint.
draon_dragonwolf - September 20, 2008 06:59 PM (GMT)
Ryu listen to Seto's words and wondered if referred to her with being an idiot. Wouldn't surprise her since she acted like one most of the time, but that was her way of being who she is. Then she notice Ran smile at her. She gave another smile back and held back the urge to jump in the air again. The excitement was running though her.
She didn't hear much of anything else, she just wanted to get inside again. What fun would be in store with the game she wondered. And she thought that all this security might ruin the game a bit, she doubt that anything would go wrong, maybe a few bugs, but that's about it.
frozen_fire_dragon - September 20, 2008 07:32 PM (GMT)
Rain had a, rather common, nervous smile set upon his face. In all honesty, half the things being said made absolutely no sense to him at all.
On the other hand, a fair amount of the others there seemed rather confused or shocked as well - except one, he noticed, glancing towards Ryu, who looked like this was the most exciting moment of her life - so he figured he wasn't quite as out of place as he original suspected.
Don't be an idiot.
Rain gave a small chuckle; how many times had he heard that in his lives now? Views on idiocy seemed to be relative in most cases, so he figured their host simply meant to use your own common sense.
Common sense dictated at this moment that they were about to play a game of some sort. This game was clearly a significant deal, as he and those around him appeared to be 'winners'. Most of said others appeared to be as confused as he was, so Rain figured a fair amount of them were also unaware of what was ahead.
Their host was serious - he greeted in smirks rather than smiles, and spoke as though he were conducting a deal of business.
And apparently there was risk of getting stuck in wormholes. Sounded fantastic.
Spiffilicious - September 20, 2008 09:57 PM (GMT)
Crategios blushed furiously. How had he mistaken that draik for Seto? And what had she said about him crushing his dreams? Great... He was already confused and he would be remembered as that stupid Grundo who didn't know a thing. As he listened to Seto Samu continue on, his embarrasment tripled.
"Uhhh... Mr. Samu?" he said, nervously, "Uhh... Well, what are wormholes? They aren't dangerous or anything, right?"
Blushing even harder, he took a quick look-over the pets. One was grinning from ear to ear... She must know what was going on. The person who was his 'assistant' looked like she was smiling just as hard. The others people looked fairly confused as well. He noticed someone, also smiling nervously, looking at him. Crategios shrugged his shoulders. At least he was alone in his cluelessnes.
Keruha - September 20, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
Seto focused on Crategios. "The wormholes are nothing to be worried about. They are nothing more than glitches in the game that haven't been located yet. We have sorted out most of the big ones, but there are most likely a couple still in there. If you get stuck in one, it may be a while before we are able to get you out so my suggestion is to not dig for loopholes in the game's programming. Any other questions?"
saiyukou - September 20, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)
Inausti tentatively raised her hand in the air and made a little wave. "So.... what exactly are we supposed to do once we're inside the game. Are there any particular goals we have to achieve?"
An utter look of confusion was plastered over the girl's normally calm features, as she struggled to understand what was being told to the group. Gaming wasn't exactly her expertice, by a long shot.
frozen_fire_dragon - September 20, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
Rain rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly before slowly raising his hand.
"Umm, I have one, sir."
He glanced between the others before focusing on Seto. "We're all 'winners', correct? And our prize was coming here to play this game - so...err-," he paused, and shifted his gaze to Inausti, who practically asked half of his question for him.
With a nod, he began to speak to Seto again, turning to face him midway through the sentence, "And perhaps more importantly, what happens if we don't succeed in reaching those goals?"
BluenBlackWolf - September 20, 2008 10:52 PM (GMT)
Noah smiled slightly, stuffing his hands in the large pocket on the front of his black hoodie. Wormholes, danger, competition, it sounded quite fun to him. He looked over the rest of the group out of the corners of his eyes, seeing how they were reacting to this strange speech. Noah also took a long look at Seto's "assistant". She certainly seems nice enough, unlike our host here, he thought, turning his attention back to Seto, waiting for his response to the many questions the others were throwing at him.
Keruha - September 20, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
"This is no major goal for you to complete in this game. You will be shown around the virtual environment and taught some of basic gameplay. There will also be a couple demo quests available to you if you want to accept them," Seto explained, "They range from solving dungeon puzzles to slaughtering trolls. As for if you don't succeed these quests, I take everything you own..."
"Wait! What!?" Caslean shouted, jumping a bit.
The desert draik rolled his eyes, "And that was a good example of sracasm. No, I will not be taking your belongings. Just do me a favor and think. Nothing bad is going to befall you if you fail this game. If you get killed by a troll, you end up back at the entrance point. If you fail a demo quest, it gets reset in a couple of minutes. Nothing more. If this was a dangerous challenge to accomplish instead of a game, I wouldn't have people playing it. Still, even if you are allowed to fail, I wouldn't recommend it. Zyptech will be granting a prize to the player who can acheive the most in this game."
spooki - September 20, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
Ran listened intently, taking note of everything little bit of information she could. Although she was flattered he considered her a 'special acquaintance' and although he had somewhat assured the group that the game was safe, it wouldn’t stop her from taking every little precaution she could.
And there she was, back at the whole matter of assisting. How was she supposed to help out if she knew just as much as the contest winners, if not less?
"Samu," she began in a lowered voice, leaning towards him while cupping a hand over the side of her mouth. "I'm happy that you want me to help you on this but I'm still not all that clear on how or what I'm suppose to do..." She trailed off, feeling sheepish in admitting her ignorance. She wasn't expected to participate in the game right?
frozen_fire_dragon - September 20, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
"Nothing...bad...?" Rain repeated under his breath. Sounded lovely in that sense.
He looked down at his hands, some what curious how magic in this world would work in that one; but it sounded like their host had done a more-than-decent job figuring everything out. Perhaps that would just be something to figure out on his own soon enough.
Rain suddenly felt the hair on the back of his neck raise, and he quickly looked over his shoulder at the feeling of being watched. But nothing furtherly out of the usual seemed to be present, leaving Rain gazing away with a perplexed expression at nothing.
Spiffilicious - September 21, 2008 01:20 AM (GMT)
Glitches in the coding? That didn't sound good...
"I would hav thought you would have finalized the game, you know, since there was the whole advertising thing and everything...", he said before hastily adding, "Not that there's anything wrong with glitches!"
Crategios sighed and looked at his feet. He wondere what the overall prize would be... Although there was very little chance of him winning it.
Keruha - September 21, 2008 02:57 AM (GMT)
"I'll discuss details once we are in the game, Seimouri," Seto answered and then went to answer Crategios, "Don't underestimate me. All released games have glitches. I said that the majority of the glitches within this game have been found and cut to a very minimum. You won't encounter one if you don't stick your nose into it. Now that I think we are clear, follow..." Seto turned around, and opened the through the amusement park gate.
Caslean started to follow. Everything was calm, until she spotted something. A peculiar pigeon was watching the group from afar. The draik grinned impishly. Cas knew what was going to happen soon with Seto's little virtual reality world, and she'd get to witness every bit of it. "Thank youuuuuuu, Silverpaw..." she whispered, "We'll be seeing you soon."
frozen_fire_dragon - September 21, 2008 03:10 AM (GMT)
Rain snapped out of his daze when he noticed people were beginning to move away. By nervous habit, he fiddled with the ends of his sleeves momentarily before catching up with them.
Upon entering the amusement part he let out a whistle of astonishment. "Is all of this yours, sir?" Rain asked once he was a few feet behind Seto.
saiyukou - September 21, 2008 03:27 AM (GMT)
Inausti followed closely behind Seto, and said nothing as she passed through the amusement park gates. She was starting to get excited, something that she hadn't entirely expected. The park gave her a sense of awe, and yet there was that little voice in the back of head, warning her not to go through those gates.
Naurally, she ignored it, and went in anyway.
BluenBlackWolf - September 21, 2008 12:29 PM (GMT)
Noah trotted along the edge of the group, admiring his colorful surroundings. A shiver of excitement passed through his body, and he smiled wider. He somehow knew this was going to be an interesting game. But, a small pinprick of caution mixed in with his excitement. He promptly ignored it and walked on.
Spiffilicious - September 21, 2008 12:39 PM (GMT)
Crategios ran to catch up with the others. He wasn't so sure about Samu anymore - he was a lot more irritable than he had expected him to be. So much for that.
draon_dragonwolf - September 21, 2008 03:10 PM (GMT)
"Its no fun if nothing really dangerous is gonna happen," Ryu said as she followed the rest of the group. "I love danger, mostly cause I attract it."
She gave another little jump as they walked towards where the game would be. Ryu couldn't wait for the fun to begin. She just love having fun.
