NO PRESSURE! As a staff, we've discussed some ways to make the NI RP experience better. As NI has grown over this year, we have found our identity as a plot heavy site - which is pretty damn cool! We have a ton of ideas and a lot of plots planned and underway.
But we want to encourage those plots to actually get completed, as well as give you guys a lot of opportunity to play with your characters as much as possible. So us as collective staff would like to stress the rules - we are a 2 paragraph minimum site. This means you can of course post more than that if muse allows but its actuallyokay to post the minimum too!
Meaning, posting should be effortless. There's no need for you to worry about word count or posting requirements (that means even the notion that you must match the length of the post you're replying to as well) and if you want to post a fast paced thread, feel free. We ask that everyone be understanding and accepting of everyone's style of RPing so we have a stress free, no pressure environment for everyone.
We hope that encouraging this idea will help plots move faster, threads get completed faster, and give you guys more freedom to play your characters in more situations in a shorter amount of time, if you so choose.
SPEAKING OF STAFF...
We would like to welcome Chrissi/Pip to our staff as the new SPN Mod! We have elected her on board because not only has she been a big help to us even before coming on staff, but she really works well with the team.
Yes we have a BIG staff now! But this is to make sure all the fandoms are taken care of - me and lian can't do it alone! And without this BIG staff our epic End of the World plot wouldn't have been made possible!
So welcome Chrissi on board and take note of the other staff members:

THANK MANDY as well for all the work she's done organizing the End of the World Helmouth Seal plots that you'll be seeing throughout the year.
And THANK THE ENTIRE STAFF for contributing immensely to both of these site plot elements and the board at large.
FULL MOON WEEK: FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW Today will be the start of the full moon and it lasts until the end of the month. For those just joining us, this means that:
-Any open thread that occurs at night during a full moon may be entered by a full transformed werewolf or shifter. -NPCs can be created to shift during full moons for threads as well. -Wiccans also can make threads for spells that involve the full moon.

You guys are free to reply in update threads like this with any comments or questions!
ACTIVITY CHECK:
The following is a list of inactive characters.
If you have a canon character that has been on the Inactive list two months in a row (meaning - the player has disappeared for 2 consecutive months, for whatever reason, whether away notices are posted or not), the character will be up for grabs again, no questions asked, no exceptions. If you return after 2 months of inactivity, you'll have to wait a month in order to reapply for any canon character. Even if you have another canon that's active, but one character that ends up inactive, this rule still applies - you must keep all of your characters active.
Original characters have 3 months ("three strikes and you're out!") before we will archive them.
A number in parenthesis ( ) shows how many times you've been put on the inactivity list consecutively so far. If there's no number by your name, you have nothing to worry about.
If you're on this list, you must post in a thread before the full moon week is up and then reply to the activity check with a link to that thread, reply to this thread stating that you have plans for the character (specify) and that you wish to keep them, or post an absence notice in the Away board stating how long you'll be gone - no exceptions.
If you're on this list and posted an away notice, it's probably because the notice is old (more than 3 weeks old) and hasn't been updated in a while. If we don't hear from you we'll assume that you've disappeared off the face of the earth and archive your character.
If you're on this list and have posted recently, it's probably because you have a canon character and are not playing them on a consistent basis. If you're holding a canon, you have to post more than once a month and not just when activity checks come around.
Any character on the following list that has not been spoken for will be archived.
If you're name is on this list and you know it shouldn't be, just let us know! Us staff can make mistakes.
NOTE: IF YOUR CHARACTER IS NOT ON THIS LIST, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESPOND TO THIS ACTIVITY CHECK. YOUR CHARACTER IS SAFE.

Just a quick note really as I am meant to be working ;] I'm currently sat on some woman's kitchen floor typing this.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone at NI. You're all as core to the site as the staff team and it's thanks to you guys that we're still here, kicking and screaming all the way to hell and damnation ;] Go team!
I'd also like to announce that this is going to be the week of my prodigal return. I know I've been lax in posting over the last couple of months, for all the things listed in my away thread, but George, Klaus, Rhiannon and Merci return this week and I'll be sorting out more of my NPC plotlines as well.

This whole muse-adjusted posts thing is gonna be great for everyone, I know it and I'm really excited to drop the misconception of long = good. Muse = good, and if you've said what you needed to say in 200 words, then its great.
