The End of the World 2012: Be All, End All
PLEASE NOTE: This is a site wide event and was a major attempt to mix up the end-of-days plots for each fandom. It is a supplement of the Hellmouth Seals site wide event, meaning that RP is unlimited for the duration of the existing event. This post apocalyptic world is set in two years time, in 2014, and is a representation of what may happen if all of the Hellmouth Seals are allowed to be broken. It shows the 'worst case scenario' view of the world should this happen, NOT what is necessarily set in stone for the future of NI. Enjoy it while it lasts!
Where were you when the world ended? Did you rise to the occasion or did you fall to your knees? The Four Horsemen rose before anyone could even think about stopping them, allowing the Croatoan virus the perfect opportunity to spread throughout the globe quicker than anyone could do anything about; the angels fell from grace, the vampires rose to power and the weres were thrown into captivity; and any able bodied being, the remaining humans or anything otherwise, were either opposed to the vampire super power or simply trying to stay on the winning side. Haemo Corp. was established by the vampires in order to research a sustainable blood source and were fight camps were established to contain any captured were-animals. Basically, once the Hellmouth Seals were broken, the world fell into complete disarray, everyone fighting to maintain control and only really the vampires staying on top. For a brief summary of what's what in these dark times, see the little list below:
Humans + only 5% remain due to the Croatoan virus + either in hiding, owned by a vampire or contained by Haemo Corp. + if ever captured, branded with an H for 'human'
Slayers, Hunters & Watchers + trying to regain control + susceptible to the Croatoan virus if not careful + most reside in either small groups or Camp Chitaqua
Angels + most have fallen from grace + some remaining to help man kind
Weres + either in hiding, helping human groups or contained by the were fight camps + if ever captured, branded with a W for 'were'
Hybrids + either in hiding, completely obedient to Klaus or subjected to the were fight camps + if ever in a fight camp, branded with a A for 'abomination'
Everyone Else + generally doing whatever they please + siding with those who they think will win

You know it's not like us to just give you the short version of the story and make you try and guess all of the the details by yourselves, so below is a list of ever so useful links to further information surrounding the event and how you can get yourself more involved (although, there's a couple of links mixed into the list above that are pretty useful for things too)!
